American Tree Service

It was supposed to be 400 worth of tree service but they took maybe 30-45 min. I was working in my office and they left without ever checking in after trimming a couple trees.

Wow! The trees look amazing. We have used American Tree Service for ALL our arbor needs since 2004 or 2005. This is probably the 5th time we have relied on their skills. Tim promptly answered the phone, stopped by within about 10 minutes, gave us the estimate for the huge oak and the stand of oaks, and had a crew out within the hour. (We caught him at just the right time.) The crew arrived and went right to work. Most of the work ($750.00) was on the huge oak. It was a major overhaul and a big undertaking. We aren't talking about 5ft limbs that were 10 inches in diameters. They took out limbs that were the size of medium sized trees! All wounds were properly dressed, all refuse removed, driveway and sidewalks cleared, and firewood neatly stacked by the entrance. All in about 4 hours. Now some might say that that is what the crew is supposed to do. And they would be right - but ATS consistently does it and it's done better than I'd do it - and I'm picky! As I said, we have used ATS in the past. Each time the work and service have been gold star quality. Our beautiful oaks are majestic once more. Now if we can just figure out how to slow down the growth rate of that thing. It defies belief.

Tim Pruett came by shortly thereafter, gave me a bid, and said that his crew could do the job that day. It was done quickly and efficiently.

The crew did an excellent job, I'm absolutely elated with the result. My first thought was that "I can see my house again!" Despite the fact that it's cold, and a bit rainy, the crew came in and took care of what I consider to be a big job, and did it quickly and cleanly.

I would use them again and they were nice. They did a good job. They cleanup was okay and I didn’t have any problems. They got the job done in a couple of hours.

Very pleased with service provided & responsiveness. We desperately needed a tree cut back to help control a 'critter' problem. I called Tim yesterday, he came out yesterday provided a reasonable estimate and performed services today. Extremely happy to have work done and trees trimmed nicely without having to pay an outrageous cost. Clean-up was great and having them haul-off makes the price even more reasonable. Definitely see why Tim & his company deserve the Provider of the Year award for 2013!!

Did not remove some of the small sucker branches as requested and other trimming as requested.

Overall the job went well, they showed up on time and were able to start after arrival of their final piece of equipment. Tim was very helpful in taking my ideas about what I had in mind for the job and suggesting a few changes that made it better for my trees. The crew worked at a steady pace and was able to finish up the tree trimming in a few hours, their clean-up was very thorough and I was satisfied with the work performed.

Have some property in Dripping Springs that hadn't had any tree maintenance in several years. Tim met with me and we discussed everything I wanted, plus what Tim advised. The crews came out and did an excellent job clearing out the fence line, taking down 5 dead hedges by the house, and did a wonderful job cleaning up deadwood from a big oak and some surrounding trees.

I called this company for an estimate. The owner returned my call promptly and returned a bid promptly. It just so happened that when I needed this service, there had been a bad storm that hit south Austin and this company was in the midst of completing jobs in a subdivision that had many downed trees. Another service I called at the same time was able to complete my job the day after I called, so I went with them. I will definitely call this company again to bid on future projects. The owner couldn't have been nicer and was very responsive in spite of being buried with work when I called.

He was courteous with us but not present when the workers worked; not sure if he did a detailed walk-through and one of the smaller trees was not really pruned correctly (flush to the main steam). Clean-up of new oak growth on older trees was not consistent. We had a similar type job done a couple of years ago with a different company and they were more attentive to such things. Also, they were able to grind limbs into mulch on-site, which was very helpful to us as we used it later in our landscaping.

They did a great job -- amazingly fast and efficient. There was a scheduling hiccup where they promised to call during a particular week that I was in town to coordinate a time, but they did not call. When I called the following week and left a message to remind them, they came to my house promptly the following day to do the work. Overall a very positive experience and I plan to use them in the future.

The vendor removed two trees flush with the ground and trimmed another large tree that grew over my house. Comparing the work done by these men with prior work I have had done, I am very pleased. They cut the trees well, treated the cuts with spray, and cleaned up and hauled away perfectly. I would definitely have them work for me again.

On time for full and accurate estimate Work was done professionally as discussed. A few things needed "adjusting" to complete work as I understood it as defined and owner agreed immediately without additional cost. A first class operation that I fully recommend and will use again!!

I contacted Tim Pruett with American Tree Service regarding my tree needs for the front and backyard. After inspecting the trees, he stated the normal price would be $400 for the front and another $400 for the backyard tree work. For the Angie's deal, the $199 could be used for the trees in the front and it would cost an additional $400 for the backyard. I contacted 3 other tree trimming service providers (all listed as grade A on Angie's List) and their prices ranged from $450 to $550 for both the front and back. I mentioned this to Tim and he was firm with his pricing despite better overall price from the other providers. Thus, I was not convinced I would truly be receiving $400 dollar worth of tree service for the price of $199. Tim was very polite about my decision and he did suggest contacting Angie's List for a refund.

Came exactly on time. Worked efficiently, removed all debris. Did a few extras not included in bid without extra charge. Gave me a discount as I was a repeat customer.

They showed up the same day that I called them and took everything very quickly and professionally. Will use them again when I need any tree service.

This was a good experience from start to finish. The estimate was fair and as soon as I agreed, his team was out there the next morning at 8 a.m. It only took a few hours, and they did everything Tim promised, and then some. The house looks like it's had a facelift !! I was never once bothered by the team - they didn't come knocking asking me any questions. They cleaned up all the dropped limbs, leaves, etc. This was a very positive experience, very professional. I will use them again.
