AHS Construction were reliable and efficient. It took them three days to complete the work. They were professional and prompt. I would recommend their services to anyone.

Stephen came to the house and we walked around looking at the back yard and talked about what we envisioned for the patio. We discussed the size of the patio and the effect we wanted to create. He took some measurements and within 48 hours we had a proposal from AHS. I followed up with a few questions about the proposal and the described project. Stephen answered each promptly and completely. We selected AHS for the project. They were not the lowest quote but they appeared to be very well suited for this type patio and cover project. (over 500 sq/ft) We asked about a specific start time that would work around our schedule and they were able to accommodate this. The project began with the framing and pouring of the concrete patio. AHS came with a large crew and in a day had much of the prep work completed before the pouring of the patio. The following day the concrete was poured. The patio was completed in a day. The next part of the construction was the building of the actual cover. Again the AHS crew came in full force and began putting up the structure. The entire patio structure took about a week to build. The roof was shingled and the paint applied. Again, the attention to detail in the painting and finish work was excellent. After a few weeks the patio was ready to stain. We had opted for a rock salt textured concrete finish. The rock salt did not have quite as much "rough" appearance that we wanted, so they had two of the AHS team open by hand more small holes in the patio using ping hammers. The stain was applied and the patio sealed. The extra work really paid off in the final finished look. The final part of the project was the installation of the patio french doors. We talked about how the trim around the new door would go so that it would best match the current interior. Adrian made a suggestion that ended up really looking nice. The door was well installed and functions well. That completed the project and they cleaned up well after all the work was done. All the work was completed in a timely fashion. The quality of the work and attention to detail was excellent. The patio ended up being exactly what we had envisioned. They showed up early, worked weekends and were always professional and courteous.

We had a patio cover over our back patio that was literally cracking and had to be braced to keep it from coming down. I contacted AHS through Angie's List and received an email reply the same day. Stephen with AHS was out the next day and within 24 hours we received a detailed estimate of work and the costs we would incur. After receiving all permitting, HOA permission and partial easement releases, (this took about a month), Stephen and his crew were out within days to start tearing down our old patio cover and preparing for the new construction. From the very start of my contact with AHS, Stephen was prompt in his replies and answered all of my questions. He provided us with a detailed estimate which included all of the materials that would be used and the manner in which the construction would be carried out. Stephen even worked with us on the tedious and sometimes frustrating experience of getting permits, easement releases and HOA approval. He was always patient and from the time he contacted me to the time of construction. On the glorious day we received all of our permits, etc. Stephen was out the following day and our building supplies were delivered. The construction began the next day. Stephen's crew removed the old patio cover in one day and cleaned up after themselves when this was complete. The next day they began framing the new patio cover and were finished the same day. The following day the City of Round Rock inspected the framing and the following day the crew was back to do the roofing and finish trimming out the patio cover and installing the necessary electrical installation. Painting came next, again taking only one day. I cannot express fully how very happy we are with AHS and their work. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any remodeling project you may have. We will be calling them first any time we need work done. It was completely painless from start to finish and Stephen was always available to talk if I had a question. There were no "surprise" additions to our cost estimate and the project was completed in about six days, one day short of what Stephen told us originally. Thank you AHS!

Our patio was constructed in a timely fashion, the whole process went like clock work.

I am very happy with the results. My final bill matched the estimate exactly, and the entire project was completed in 2 days. The quality of the work is excellent, the staff was very friendly and respectful, and they cleaned the site thoroughly before leaving. Overall, I thought they were very professional and would definitely recommend them. The only negative thing I can say is that they assured me that weeds would not be a problem between the pavers, and I found my first weed this past weekend, 2 weeks after the project was completed.

I called AHS for an estimate after viewing several positive comments on Angie's List. Was promised a return call that morning. I was called back within 2 hours and spoke to Stephen. I gave him an idea of what I wanted done and set an appt for the next day so that he could take measurements to give me an accurate estimate. He arrived on time and offered some good suggestions on how best to shape the patio. (I'm really glad he did because my original idea would not have looked nearly as nice in the end.) He advised he would send the estimate via email which I received the next morning. I called the next day (Friday) to schedule the work and he was able to make arrangements for the following Tuesday morning. He arrived with the crew about 9:00am, gave them some instructions and left them to do the job. The crew did a great job too... after they had the forms up, they made sure that we were happy with the shape before proceeding. They finished that afternoon and left our yard free of any debris etc. Stephen returned the next day to inspect the finished patio and made sure I was happy with the work prior to payment. All in all, very professional and courteous service. I have some other home projects in mind and will gladly call on them again.

No unexpected delays; finished the job in time for a big event.

AHS showed up to give us an estimate. He not only listened to what we wanted, but also presented several alternatives. AHS submitted their bid and it was very clear what work was being done and how much I was being charged. The actual construction went very smooth. Communicated what days AHS would be working and stuck to that schedule. As with all projects, issues came up and AHS was very quick to respond and fix any issues. Completely satisfied.

They had excellent craftsmanship! They were very flexible about design changes. They showed up on time when they said they would be there. This work took about a week and a half to be completed. The workers were friendly, professional and courteous. I would use them again and would recommend them!
