Description of Work: My sprinkler stop working. I called Southwest and their rate is $95/hour. I was able to schedule an appointment in the day after. They went onsite and figured out it's due to the rain sensor in 15 minute. Fast and professional.

Description of Work: These guys are great. I have about a 20 year old sprinkler system, which finally "gave up the ghost" about 3 or 4 years ago, about 50% of my grass died in the drought last summer, so something had to be done. I have been trying to work on the system myself, but after spending many wasted hours, my wife insisted I call in an expert. I found two companies on Angie's List and chose Southwest Irrigation System, because it was a little closer to me, and the company had an excellent rating and great reviews. I scheduled an appointment between 1p and 4p, they called at 1p to confirm the appointment and arrived 10 minutes later. before anything was done they confirmed their hourly rate so there would be no suprizes, and started to work. I told them about the system and that both the sprinkler system and foundation watering went down at the same time. He stated right away that the electrical is most likely tied together and when the sprinkler electrical was repaired the foundation watering system would most likely start working. I had a combination of problems, both electrical and plumbing related. The electrical problem was tracked down and repaired with no parts needed. As predicted the foundation watering system kicked on and started working. Of course I took credit for getting it back up and running to impress my wife, and restore her faith in my handy man abilities. Electrical now fixed, they started on locating the valve pits. They right away found them and discovered 2 of the 4 were not functioning. They quoted me the price of each valve before any work continued. Now we have water flowing through the sprinkler heads or a guiser coming out of the ground where there should have been one. I had spare risers and heads so there was no additional parts cost to install the parts. I knew the bucket of plumbing parts my wife had been telling me to throw away for about 10 years would come in handy, I was finally the one that got to say "I told you so". Everything is working great, the guys quoted me a price each time they needed a part I did not have, and all the parts were reasonably priced, comparable with Home Depot. All my plants that had to be dug up to get to a valve pit in the flower bed were re-planted by the crew and everything looked just like it was before the work started. I was given tips throughout the repair on how my system works, and how to adjust the heads. In 2 hours and 15 minutes they had come and gone, I can't tell you how much time was wasted on this system in both time trying to fix the system and time my wife spent stretching soaker hoses and dragging sprinklers around the yard to try and save my grass just last summer, God bless her little soul, I spent many a day watching that fiasco. I would recommend Southwest Irrigation to everyone who needs their systems repaired, I even got a warranty on the work done, and after dealing with the repair crew, I have no doubt if needed it will be honored. Additionally, I was given a discount after telling the guys that I had found them on Angie's List. I wish they did pool work, I've got a pool heater that is giving me h***.
