Southwest Irrigation Systems

The servicemen arrived on time and got the job done. They deducted one hour from the final bill because they had to take time to repair a piece of their equipment. I would not have known that they were repairing their own equipment so the hour deduction was made due to honest business practices.

They did a great job. We weren't happy with the original installers of the system so we went with them because they were rated top on Angie's List. They came out and got it done.

They called me back about an estimate, but they didn't actually come out and give me an estimate. They were friendly and helpful.

Serviceman was punctual, checked my sprinkler system and determined that it was fine. He checked the irrigation settings and adjusted them for Fall irrigation. He also indicated that it was my next door neighbor's sprinkler system that was leaking.

This is the second time I have had these guys out here (first time was 4 years ago when we moved in) and they did another great job. They were on time, pleasant, and got the repairs that would have taken me days to do in less then 2 hours. Their prices are reasonable, and I have never felt that they "milked" the clock at all. I give these guys 3 thumbs up!

The crew worked very quickly and cleaned the yard after. They were professional in every way and did fix the problem. Every question was answered by Peter and he did exactly what he said he would do. I highly recommend this company.

Appointment was for 8:30. Old Rainbird controllers use fuses, new ones do not. Technician had to stop and get fuses before coming to the house in order to adequately test the old controller. Therefore the technician did not arrive until 9:15. I received a call from the owner Peter Hudson to tell me that the technician was late and why, very professional. The work was done to my complete satisfaction. When the technician was itemizing the bill he added 49 dollars for a service fee. This was not disclosed to me prior to the completion of their work. I paid the bill and called the office to discus the service fee. The issue was resolved that day. Five days later I receive a call from the owner where we discussed the service and the call to the office that day. I appreciate him calling me to discuss and would definitely use their services again. I would like to advise that there is a 49 dollar service fee.

After living 3 years in our house we finally got to do some landscaping in backyard. And before that we should have sprinkler system installed. I have made several bids and chose SOUTHWEST IRRIGATION SYSTEMS. They are local, their price was good, all the parts seemed to be top quality and judging by license number they do sprinkler systems at least 7 years. They had coordinate their plans and job with landscapers which was a different company. They did it fine to account for future trees, bushes and flower beds as we see now, when landscaping is done. Before doing their job they themselves arranged phone, gas and cable companies to mark cables and pipes. Finally they came and put the hole system in one day (about 6 hours). They left a 3 years written warranty. I am writing it 3 months after and everything is working as expected. Landscaping which was done later fits nicely with the system. They also came couple of times after installation to adjust the heads per my request. It is free for the first month as per policy. We are happy overall.

Peter was very helpful and forthcoming with the repair of my sprinkler system. He adjusted all the sprinkler heads and made some recommendations on some sprinkler heads that were unsuitable based on their placement in the yard. He answered all my questions and provided solutions to all my problems. He even reprogrammed my controller and advised me on the proper times for watering the different zones in my yard. It took exactly the time he estimated it would. I was very pleased with his attitude and work ethic. I plan to do some extensive landscaping in the next year or so and will definitely call him back for the lawn system adjustments that may be necessary.

Once we made contact the process went smoothly. the workers arrived within a few hours of the anticipated time. The work was done in a workman like manner, and no mess was left behind.

They answered a few questions I had and were very nice about it. They were even knowledgeable about plants. They had a full crew and got the job done quickly, compared to the size of the job. They left me specific instructions and set the timer for me. My only suggestion is that they go over how to set the timer and so forth, this should be done before the job is finished because I know they were exhausted when they were done.

The man who came out was very nice, courteous and professional. The team that came with him were the same as well.

They came when they said they would. Pete actually came the afternoon that I called, looked at what needed to be done. Offered proposal. Put drainage where he thought they would belong and everything has worked out great! When they finished it was raining, they were cautious of possible problems with the rain and came back a couple days later after the rain and poured concrete when weather permitted.

Estimate was given as requested and installation was completed as promised. Installers came out as scheduled and finished the work in two days. After installing the system, they did a good job replacing all the sod and shrubs that had to be removed. They also did a good job cleaning the dirt off of the walkways, side walk, patio area and driveway after completing their work. Overall, we were very happy with the work and are happy with their system; used high quality materials including easy-to-use timer. The one negative part of our experience with this company is that they have not forwarded to us the after-installment drawings as written in our contract. We have forwarded the survey of our land as they had requested to use as a template for the drawings but we still have not received the drawings; the system was installed over two months ago. They have yet to respond to our email and phone messages.

Estimate was given promptly via email. Once green light given, project proceeded smoothly. Crew supervisor Eddie was very good and answered questions completely. In addition, Peter Hudson (owner) helped us regrade the soil around the house (make foundation visible). Overall experience was excellent.

Thought they did a good job, but did not get an invoice, said it would be e-mailed to me. They did, and the invoice just showed the various valves and heads that they replaced, with no detail as to cost per valve or head. I realized the next day that they did not replace one of the heads and requested they come back to fix it. They did, very promptly, but the worker said he forgot to charge me $75 for the 1st valve the day before, so I paid an additional $80. I e-mailed my request for a detailed statement, and was promptly answered by Peter that they do not provide detailed statements, that valves are $75 for the 1st one and $55 for each additional, so much for this and that. No matter how I tried to come up with the amount they charged me (and I am a financial analyst for 17 years), could not even come close. I do have to give Peter credit though. I told him by e-mail that I would call him, and he took the initiative to call me, several times before we actually spoke.

Called back next day and was easy to work with. Very good about staying in touch regarding schedule, and good communication while on the job. I have already had them back to fix another sprinkler problem.

Extremely quick and polite service. Explained the work. No hard sell; they let me know what should be repaired and what could wait. I plan to use for all our lawn needs.

Another company took a very brief, cursory look at our system. They told us that they couldn't reuse any of our existing equipment, and the total system would have to be replaced at a cost of $5,000.00. Southwest took their time while inspecting the system and told us that if we didn't mind waiting 3 weeks (they are very busy), they could complete the job for $1,595.00. Fortunately for us, heavy rains interrupted one of their large jobs. They completed our job 2 days after we accepted their proposal. The crew was very professional and the total cost was $1,595.00.

Our drains they put in have completely stopped our yard from flooding every time it rains. I don't know how many drains they installed but they seemed to know where to put them. Our yard is great and water free unless we turn on the sprinklers ourselves. We had used them before to install our sprinkler system and they did a good job then, too.

Good. They completed the job in one day.

Southwest Irrigation System was very helpful and kind to me. Their credentials are outstanding. I compared them to other companies in the area and they seemed to be the best. They offered just what I wanted. The sprinkler system works great and I havent had any problem. If I do, I know they will come right out and fix it.

Robbie returned my call quickly and stopped by to give an estimate. His prices were very reasonable and he was able to show us how the sprinkler system worked through sections and stations. The installation was scheduled as soon as a day was available and Robbie was on time. He dug up patches of grass and buried the pipes throughout the yard. After he finished installing the system, he placed all the patches of grass back in place. He did an excellent job, cleaned up the mess and left the yard in tiptop shape.

What impressed me the most about this company is that they worked around my schedule. They came out to my home when it was convenient for me, as I wanted to be at home when the work was done. They repaired my sixteen year old sprinkler system. They came in and did the work, and it only took them an hour to get the job done.

COMPANY PERSONNEL WERE COURTEOUS, AND EFFICIENT. HOWEVER, THEY COULD HAVE COMMUNICATED MORE, AND EXPLAINED THINGS IN MORE DETAILS UPON COMPLETION OF THE JOB. THEY ANSWERED QUESTIONS ONLY WHEN ASKED, WITH LITTLE ELABORATION, OR IN MAKING HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS.
