Overall, a very good experience. Peter Hudson responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and came out to my house the next day. After I showed him what I wanted done, he walked my property and took necessary measurements. He then explained to me some of the options for placement of various pipes and sprinkler heads. Because I was having extensive landscaping/hardscaping done, including a new patio, walkway, plant beds, and sod, he told me of the coordination that would be necessary with the company providing those services and assured me that he would handle all communication with them. Within 48 hours, Peter had emailed me his written proposal, with all items clearly priced and explained. He'd left me a brochure with all of the information about the Rainbird equipment he uses which helped me understand how everything works and the quality of the products. I'd gotten three other estimates from local irrigation companies highly rated on Angie's List and, though the prices were in the same range, SW Irrigation's quote was the best of the bunch. Frankly, I was impressed enough with Peter and his company that I probably would have selected them even if I'd received lower estimates from others. So I selected SW Irrigation to do the work. The installation crew showed up by 8:00 AM on Tuesday morning with a very friendly supervisor (Eddie) and 5-6 guys doing the digging and trenching for the PVC pipe by hand and with a trencher. Though much of my lawn was already torn up in preparation for the new sod, there were several areas where the crew removed sod to be replaced after the pipes were laid. They installed all of the valves, sprinkler heads, and the main controller unit in my garage. By the middle of day 2, a second supervisor (Brandon) was there to walk me through the completed installation and to instruct me on how to use the computerized controller. Without the landscaping work or patio installation complete, it was a little difficult to see how the irrigation system would function, but Brandon assured me they would come back once all of the plants, sod, and hardscaping were in to run the system and fine-tune any of the sprinkler heads. After all the sod, beds, and hardscaping were in, Brandon came out again and activated the irrigation system and everything installed seemed to work very well without any leaks, etc. There were a few sprinkler heads that had been slightly covered by the sod, but were easily fixed. I noticed that a few of the heads were not in the correct position to irrigate certain areas of the lawn, probably due to where the original installation lines for the patio and walkway were drawn. Peter sent out crews immediately on two different occasions a few days after the original installation to move some of the heads to assure proper irrigation. They even installed another valve in one area of the lawn to make sure an adjacent bed was not over-watered whenever the lawn was irrigated. On both of these visits, SW Irrigation's crews demonstrated considerable experience and seemed very eager to make sure I was satisfied. I called Peter a few times after that to ask questions about the operation of the Smart Controller and he answered all of my questions. Peter Hudson's company did a fine job with the installation of my new irrigation system and I was so pleased with his service that I immediately referred him to two of my neighbors who had SW Irrigation come out to their homes to adjust their irrigation systems. So Peter has a whole neighborhood now of happily satisfied customers. I highly recommend SW Irrigation Systems for new and existing irrigation systems. They do excellent work and use well-made products.What's more, they're good people to deal with...everyone, from Peter and his office staff to his supervisors and crews, everyone was friendly, respectful, and very professional at all times. Combine that with a very fair and attractive price, and Southwest Irrigation represents a very good value.

We are having some renovations done to our yard and there have been sprinkler heads that needed to be moved, lines that needed repair and adjustments that needed to be done. We have used Southwest Irrigation for several years now and I wrote a complimentary review a couple of years ago. During this renovation project David, the service technician, has had to visit several times and perform repairs or adjustments. He is always thorough and efficient. He is honest with the hours needed to perform the work, and uses his time efficiently. In one day he had to respond twice for a repair and later for a small tweak to the system. The second response was for a very minor adjustment and he performed the service cheerfully.

Had them over to perform their $39 irrigation system check-up. I knew that my rain sensor was not working correctly, and I wanted to make sure that the rest of the system was working the way that it should. They arrived on time, and were extremely knowledgeable and very courteous. They had no problem explaining everything to me (this house is only 2 years old, and this is our first home with a sprinkler system), and were able to answer every question that I threw at them. They explained the life expectancies for different components, and replaced my Hunter wireless rain sensor with a RainBird one, because RainBird components generally last longer. I already knew the problems that my system had, and they did not diagnose anything that surprised me. They adjusted a few heads and replaced one that was no longer working correctly. They even dug up and moved a sprinkler head that had had a fence built over it, at no charge. (No, not that big a deal, but I appreciate good customer service.) All in all, when they left I felt that I could trust them, and will be calling them back whenever I need work done on my sprinkler system.

Contacted SWIS through their web site. Response was very quick, tech to come next morning, he did. He found a broken valve but couldn't guarantee that this was the problem. He was going to buy the part and come back at the end of the day. Got a call about 6:30 that he wasn't coming. Expected the next day. Called about 2:30 to see if we were still on the schedule. Yes, the tech would call before he came. No call. I left messages expressing my displeasure. Got a call the next morning that the tech had indeed come but didn't alert me. They apologized profusely. We now wait for a heavy rain to see if it fixed the problem. I give them a score of B because of the communication problem but would definitely use them again.

We had a zone in our sprinkler system that wasn't working. They were able to come out at a convenient time for us. We were give a three hour time window and called when they were on. The. Way to our shame and arrived at the precise time they gave us. Friendly and professional service workers found and fixed the problem. Also put the entire system through its cycle and found a sprinkler head that needed to be raised. Fixed that problem as well. All companies should take a lesson from this company's customer service and quality work!

They were very professional; the owner, Peter Hudson, came out and gave me an estimate. He took a lot of time to explain everything step by step. The crew that came out was right on time and Brandon, the crew leader, was very competent and explained everything that they were doing. He walked me though the system and took his time to make sure I was comfortable with everything before he left. The work was done well and I was very happy with it. I am sure their price is not the cheapest, but based on their reputation and the quality of work I give them the highest grade.

I called to have someone come out and give me an estimate. They happened to be in the neighborhood and came by the same day. They sent me a proposal the same day also via e-mail. The whole process of estimate to actual installation took about 8 days. They just finished the installation yesterday, so now it's just wait and see how it all works.

Southwest Irrigation Systems, Inc exemplified knowledgable, customer oriented professionalism. We needed an irrigation system installed in our front yard. Please note that our front yard is very small but we were treated as if we were their only customer. The entire office staff was nearly instantaneously available to walk us through the process and take care of securing the appropriate city permits. Everything was planned and all expectations were not only met but exceeded.

This was a difficult repair and they were very professional, making sure that I was well informed of the complexity of the problem and progress. I would highly recommend them.

SWIS came out while we were at work to do the installation. the first days they trenched the yard and the second day they installed the underground piping, sprayer nozzles, solenoid valves and controller. They were nicely done in two days. The owner came out to meet me at home a few days later to explain the controller. I marked the front landscaping and garden watering system my self, and also identified some underground lines that I had previously installed myself. This was necessary as the city only identified the Gas line. So if you have anything buried underground, be sure to mark where it is located.

My work hours are unpredictable and I wanted the lights installed before Chirstmas. Pete came out Monday evening and suggested what sort of set-up he thought would look best. I have no imagination, so the next day Chris came out and did a demo set-up and gave me an opportunity to see what it looked like. After a couple of tweaks I was ready for install. They installed the system on Wednesday. When I got home from work the lights were on and they looked wonderful. I would definitely recommend this company.
