I was very pleased with the professionalism and efficiency of the techs from Southwestern Irrigation. I was interested in learning more about the irrigation system and asked the lead tech if he minded if I observed the process they went through to test the system and make repairs. He welcomed me to watch and explained in detail everything they were looking for and how they repaired the damaged areas. The entire process was informative and efficient. The result is a properly functioning system and an increased comfort level on my part for making minor adjustments and repairs. I'd definitely recommend them to my neighbors.

This is a very professional company. When I called on the Wednesday before July 4th to make an appointment I found their staff professional and courteous. They explained how they charge for service calls. (hourly rate plus cost of parts) They informed me that there was a coupon on Angie's list that I could use for the service call. I did not have to ask. I took their next available appointment slot which was Monday July 8th at 8:30am to 11am. They called on the weekend to confirm the appointment. The technician, Brandon called the morning of, to let me know he would arrive at 8:45am. Brandon and his assistant Brian were right on time. Brandon was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and also knew quite a bit about plants and shrubs. I am new to the area and was not familiar with what types of trees, plants and shrubs I have on my property. He assessed the system and suggested some adjustments to improve coverage. He explained why the system was setup the way it was, exactly how much it would cost for each part (only a few were required) and made suggestions on how often and how long to water each zone. He patiently helped me reprogram the rainbird irrigation control system and explained why he was suggesting each change. Brandon was friendly and knowledgeable and I thought the price was fair. I will definitely call Southwest Irrigation for all my future needs and can easily recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Arrived early and placed call to me just as planned. Very courteous. Explained everything they where doing. replaced broken head. Found two more heads causing low pressure. Could not tell where they had dug to replace heads; very adapt at what they do. Made quick work of original concerns, checked system and made minor adjustments so that water hit grass/plants better. I asked about installation of new zone in area that I was interested in. Explained way to delivery electricity and water in a way that made total sense. I was able to get on schedule quickly and they finished below quote and record time. Walked me thru new board that was required with patience. Very courteous throughout all interactions. Recommend highly!!!

They arrived exactly as scheduled. Did an assessment of entire system and recommended repairs and changes in consideration of landscaping involved. They repaired the 2 breaks in the system. Very professional and would definitely use again! Excellent job.

I called this company totally based on Angie's List reviews. They have most reviews, top rated and install in my area. The phone call immediately answered by a lady, a good start. After telling them I found them on Angie's List and requesting for an estimate for front lawn (Ok, I initially plan only for front lawn cause my budget), I was immediately told that they have been fully booked for a month. I'm a little hesitated first. But considering their top notched reviews, I proceed requesting for estimate. At this time, I pretty much decided to use this company for the job fully based on their reviews only if their price is reasonable. I was told Peter will give me a call soon to schedule for meeting. Later of the day, I received an email to confirm my call today and asked me to send in land survey if I have any. I proceed to email them my land survey (this is a newly constructed house, so I just happen to have it) thinking this would give them more preparation before coming in. Ok, the problems started here. 3 days later, no call, no emails. I had to call them again to request for Peter. I got a call from him later that day. He doesn't want to come over for a meeting even as I requested again due to me already emailed them the land survey. How stupid of me thinking this would help them prepare. Instead, just gave them an excuse not coming over. He briefly answered couple of my questions with good knowledge. I also informed him about my change of mind of having the whole lawn done instead of just front lawn, and was told I will receive an estimate soon by email. Problem continues as I didn't receive their email for the next 3 days and I had to email them to request. I'm very frustrated with their poor quality of service and on the edge of dismissing them for the work. Due to my budget, I'm still willing to see their price before making my finally decision (some Angie's List members have stated their price is the best in the business). If price is right and they do a great work as other members have stated, I'm willing to sacrifice a little on the service just to get things done right. The next day, I received an email with an estimate of around $3500, not very expensive. But about 50% more than the other company have quoted me. At that time, I'm sure this is not the company I will be use. Overall, Angie's reviews attracted me to this company. However, their initial service response is not living up to their reviews. Maybe it's due to my initial decision of front lawn only irrigation system, and they felt it's a small job. Or it's simply because their business is too busy. But I don't believe either is a good excuse for their poor response. I'm not saying this is not a good company. I'm sure they are a family owned business as many member stated in their review, and I'm sure they have done many great works before. But I think, as they grew and became a larger business and got more works, they have forgotten where they came from and how they got here, great customer services. I hope my review would sound an alarm to their owner and continue on their reputation.

The repair team arrived on time as scheduled and was very friendly .They checked the entire sprinkler system; replacing multiple pop up rotor sprinkler heads, even helped me on how to set up my sprinkler system. But all in all, the team did a very good job, very happy with the service provided.

It went well. There were 2 technicians doing the job. We had several broken sprinkler heads which they replaced. They put flags by the sprinkler heads to help identify where they were. They left the flags by all of the sprinkler heads which weren't obvious because the lawn aeration service I had coming out the following week asked that I flag sprinkler heads. I was very happy with the service and would use them again.

I would recommend them. They took care of the problem we had.

They went through and performed an assessment of the entire sprinkler system; replacing multiple pop up rotor sprinkler heads, there was one major unexpected expense to replace the Pressure Vacuum Breaker, which seemed to be rather costly. But all in all the team did a very good job.

Rick came out and was very courteous, professional and gave me a couple options on replacing the entire unit or just the broken parts. Everything was completed in under an hour so they used the rest of the time to test the system. Very happy with the service provided.

Extremely well, from the initial call to their office, very professional and polite. And the technicians, Michael and Tony. Very patient and professional, knew exactly what they were doing. And asked for them to follow up with a quote for a system in my back yard. Current system is in my front yard.

It went well. Very knowledgeable, and kind professionals came and identified all the problems, then fixed properly.

Got the names of 3 Irrigation companies off Angies List & checked them out with the BBB also. All 3 companies have been in business for more than 20 years. Recieved 2 quotes around $4000.00 & Southwest at $3360.00 which made me a little nervous. I spoke with all 3 companies and also had a friend of mine in the business ( commercial) look at the quotes. He stated Southwest provided the most professional bid. Southwest offered a 5% discount for cash and another 5% discount for Angies List members. I went with Southwest. The crew installed the 7 zone system the day scheduled and completed it that day except for what they were required to leave open for the City of Houston to inspect. The tech went over the controls with me taking his time and answering all my questions. Once the inspector arrived the next day the crew came out, made a design change for me and covered up all inspection spots. My yard is not mutilated and I am impressed with the condition my yard was left in. I am please with the work and will offer a second review in the future after the system has been in service awhile.

They were great and know exactly what they are doing.

Peter came out promptly and walked the property to discuss what our landscaping plans were and needs that we would have. Once given the quote, we were a bit shocked but after getting further quotes, he was pretty consistent with other companies. We felt most comfortable in speaking with Peter and seeing all the good reviews, we gave him a try. We could not be happier. The crew came and finished in 2 days. You could not even tell that they had dug up the lawn. Everything was put back the way it started. Our neighbors saw the work and was thoroughly impressed that he recommended them to his niece who was building her home near by. You will not be disappointed if you went with Southwest Irrigation Systems.

I had a great experience with Southwest. I recently moved into the hosue and had yet to use the sprinkler system. The primary purpose of the service call was to fix a pipe that I ruptured while digging in the back yard. While they were out, I had them check out the entire system. Since I never had a sprinkler system before, they offered a tutorial on how to use the controls and the timer. It was a good thing they checked everything out, because the main wire connecting the timer to the sprinkers had been severed. They fixed the wire along with four sprinkler heads. They were extremely courteous and priced very reasonably for everything that was done. I will be calling Southwest next time I have an issue with my sprinkler system.

I have not had the work done yet. I plan to schedule it for June. So far I have been pleased with their promptness. In looking at other reviews, both their's and other sprinkler companies, I felt like the price quoted was reasonable for the work that needed to be done. When the project is finished, I'll be glad to update this review. The installation has been completed. They did a great job. It only took 1 day to complete the installation. When they were finished they cleaned up and I was shown how the system worked. I was very happy with the job that they did. I would definitely contact them again if I had need of their services.

Person who set up the appointment was professional and helpful. One thing that troubled me was they don't give estimates, and charge $95 for hour, but pro rate after the first hour in fifteen minute increments. I was concerned as this appears to be a good opportunity to bill. But in the end they did what needed to be done in a time efficient manner, showed me the problems before they fixed them, and fixed everything really well. Two technicians showed up. They called before they came and let me know how far away they were. When they got here they were professional and very courteous and went right to work.

I was able to get an appointment in the time frame I wanted when I first contacted the company, and the scheduler was very clear about the services that they were able to provide. On the day of service, the technician called and said he had a cancellation, and wondered if an earlier appointment would work. We were traveling in from out of town, and could not meet him as early as he was available, but we gave him our available time. An hour before our scheduled appointment window, he called to check again whether we were now available, and we were. The technician and his assistant immediately went to work and fixed what I needed fixed. He worked promptly, and we were able to have all the work done within the one hour time frame, which is their minimum charge. The tech was professional, courteous and efficient.

Very prompt, on time and serviced all sprinkler points and adjusted the controller.

The gentlemen from Southwest Irrigation arrived on time and went right to work. Within a few minutes, they had located my major problem (a blown fused and a nonworking solenoid on the master system) and proceeded to fix it. They checked my entire system at my request and fixed each sprinkler head that needed repair. They were very courteous and made sure I understood what they were doing and the cost of each repair each step of the way. When they finished, the invoice showed exactly what they has done in each zone of the system and what the charges were for each step performed. I would definitely use them again.

One of our pop up sprinkler heads broke off and when my husband was trying to fix it he snapped off the end of the pipe. Since they had such good reviews on Angie's list, I called Southwest Irrigation. It was very easy setting up an appointment. I was explained the pricing structure twice -$90 per hour (prorated after the first hour) plus supplies. They were very prompt and called to let me know that they were on their way. The sprinkler head was replaced and the whole system was checked out. It did not take very long and I am very happy. Great Experience!

They were excellent and did a great job. They helped confirm my sprinkler system had been previously adjusted to settings I was not wanting. They corrected the problem and also fixed a few other things they discovered.
