Bugabug Pest Control

We purchased a 10 year termite plan with this company. It consisted of an expensive treatment followed by yearly inspections. A few years into the contract,the company convinced us to purchase a quarterly extermination plan for general pest control. We quickly realized this plan was beyond our needs. My wife called to cancel this service. After a couple of years we realized we were not receiving the yearly termite inspections. We called to schedule one. The owner came to our house, claiming that we had cancelled ALL services. He stated that we would have to pay three years of inspection fees and the service could only continue if they found no termites. When I protested that we had not cancelled the termite contract, he refused to talk to me further, got in is his truck and left. We will now have to contact a different service for termite control. This was the worst customer service I have ever received. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this service.

The provider stopped showing up for my quarterly service. When I called to inquire they said they were not sure what happened. Their computer must have somehow lost me. They had my paper file still so rescheduled me for service the next week from 11-12. I waited 2 hours and no-one came. When I called to inquire they said I had no appointment. The person on the phone was rude and a bit sarcastic. When I asked for a manager she said she was one. The work done in the past was good. Customer service is terrible.

I switched last November to Bug a Bug because I was no longer happy with how things went with our previous pest control service. Not only is Bug a Bug $30 cheaper than the other, I see far fewer ants, and both times I've set up appointments so far, they come out the very next day. The customer service is wonderful, both the lady who answered my phone call and the technician were very friendly.

It went well. Very competitive pricing and covers more pests than other companies. Service man was punctual and polite and efficient. Front office was pleasant and knowledgeable when I set up the appointment. We have signed up with them to do an ongoing service for pests. They will do inside and out each session rather than just outside each session like other companies.

The carry out pest control every three months and are extremely professional and helpful

They always called ahead of time for your appointment, arrived on time, and really went above the call of duty.

We have a contract. They come out every three months. They are good. If we need them to come sooner than three months they come out quickly and we don’t have to wait very long.

Actually termite service was performed in August 2004 and the problem was with the actual application of the product. The technician failed to trench the required depth according to manufacture directions for Termidor product which is for termites. Having three kids under the age of 5 at home with me the day of service, it was not possible for me to see everything that was done, however it was obvious that the trench was not deep enough. I failed to stop him at the time, which could have helped to rectify the situation, but not knowing what to do, I let him complete the work. After paying the company, I informed them that I was not satisfied because their technician failed to apply the Termidor properly. I knew that without proper application, I could not expect the product to protect my home for the life of the product. I asked them to rectify the situation and they said they would send the faulty technician back to redo the job on his own time then they declined the offer stating that the job was done properly. At that point, I did ask for a portion of my money back as it was not done properly. I did report them to the BBB and to their Texas licensing board which came out and took a report from me and visited their office. My understanding is that they did have violations against them during that visit, but nothing that was related to my report, because the investigator could not determine if the chemical was applied improperly. I could have been satisfied if Mark would have offered to give me coverage if the chemical failed within 5 years (a little less than the typical life of the product protection), however he refused to do this and the investigator from the Texas State Board, wondered why I would even trust him to warranty the work if his technician would not do the work properly. A light bulb went off and I knew the investigator was right. In the end, I paid Mark a slightly reduced amount for his shoddy work and decided to never use the company again or trust the BBB since members pay to be a part of the organization and they (BBB) seem to work in favor of their paying members. In my paperwork from the BBB, Mark accused me of being aggressive and threatening them with reporting them to the state board and bribing them. I only wanted what most people expect, a fair job at a fair price. Mark threatened me to be turned over to "his attorney". Quite frankly, I don't understand why he could admit that he had such poor work and then be so unreasonable and outraged at the customer for expecting a good job at a fair price. Amazingly enough, even though they failed to perform the work properly, I do not believe the termites have returned.

They were in our previous home and we continued to use them in our new house because we were pleased with them. They are really good in terms of reminding you a couple of weeks ahead of your quarterly appointments. They set you up with your appointment and send you a post card. So you have a chance to fix it if it is not right for you at the same time you get a reminder to pay attention and take care of your bugs regularly. The service people are just really top notch and outstanding. We would continue to use them in future.

We called in for an estimate the person on the other end insured us that we would get sugar ant protect ant. The estimate process went fine they told us a very good price and we were very happy with the amount.

The pricing was inconsistent between the staff and the servicer that came to our home. He told us one price and we remembered that the estimate giver told us another price.

I am completely happy with the job they did. We no longer have the tick problem. It was very bad and they were able to completely solve the problem by the second and third visit. They were on time. They went through the entire home not missing anything. I felt they were very much worth the money.

We've noticed no bugs. They take care of ants, termites, roaches and other bugs and always arrive promptly when they say they will. They are great people and do a good job.

The technicians spray for insects about every three months. We receive a call before they come out, so we can clean the clutter in our basement. This gives them space to spray without contaminating anything. It is a quick job, maybe fifteen or twenty minutes. They are well mannered and clean, and the cost is reasonable.
