Rigo's Remodling

Hired to change a window to door and install screen door. He did a good job with this door but installed the screen door upside down. He fixed it but the latch has to be cranked upward instead of downward to open the door which isn't really a bad thing. We hired him to do tile the entire house but he had someone else do it. The guy was decent and laid the tiles right but he really messed up the grout. There are chips in the grout and the grout is different shades throughout the house. Not one tile had the same shade of grout on all four sides. Rigo was a very nice guy and even took some extra trash to the dump for me and helped save me money by picking up the tiles with his trailer at Home Depot however once he had his money in his hands, he won't respond to my texts regarding the grout problem. It's a shame because he's a nice guy but you need to stand by your work. I won't rehire him and we are planning on doing lots of home improvements.

He was very nice on the phone although there was a bit of a language barrier. I told him that all I wanted was a price quote and gave my address. I had asked him to talk to my tenant which he did do. I arrived home on Monday the 6th of October at 10:30 in the morning and he was already in my garage having started the work. We had never scheduled anything yet and I immediately asked him to stop and demanded to know what was going on. I had my husband with me at the time and the service provider seemed to play dumb. He was acting as if he didn't know what my initial instructions for him were. He explained that the tenant said that he could start the work which I assure you never happened. We gave him $50 for the work that was already done as my husband had inspected it and decided it was good work however he was argumentative when speaking with me. In the end he was apologetic and offered to install the new access ladder for free but we felt like doing it ourselves at that point. He completely flat out acted on the information that I gave him about calling the tenant but I never authorized him to do any work yet at my home. I had asked him to call. I will say the work done was good but we had never scheduled the service.

Rigo came over to give estimate but I did not call back for a while due to some family issues. When I did try to reach Rigo, he did not want to talk with me. He pretended he did not speak English and hung up the phone. I would NOT recommend Rigo to ANYONE!

It went great. He was on time and came in the morning. He was done by 2pm. He was very neat. He covered all the doorways to make sure that the texture he did didn't get on anything it wasn't supposed. I would definitely use him again.
