 + 2 moreRainy weather at the first of the year delayed construction a little bit, because the post holes kept filling with rain water, and Mr. Mix would not start until the holes had been dry for at least a week.
Description of Work: One of my rental houses had a fence (with wooden posts) that had suffered over the years. Mr. Mix built a new fence, using concrete-seated steel posts. He also used per-stained wood. This is a very large lot, and the fence was perhaps twice the size of a normal city lot. It has been over a year and the fence has had no problems and looks great.

Description of Work: I hired Mix Construction to paint and replace cracked tiles in my home prior to putting it on the market, with the work expected to take five days. The schedule was such that the work was going to be completed just two days before a planned open house. Apparently, he has a prior job that ran over. Rather than calling to let me know, he just failed to appear on the first day. Late that afternoon he called and claimed that there was a miscommunication with my realtor and that he waould be at my home the next moring. He again failed to appear. Needless to say I fired him and hired another contractor who did such a good job that I consider Mix Construction's no-show to be a blessing. Later that week, he confessed to my realtor that the prior job had run over. Had he just told me that from the first, I would have understood and found someone else with no hard feelings. Instead, I lost three days on a time-sensitive project and had to push back the listing of my home for over a week.
