Jim was responsive and he let me know up front before scheduling a bid that he had work ahead of me that would last about 2 months to be upfront with me. That was fine as I was not in a hurry. He is highly professional and truly cares about what you want as a customer. He and his team did a fantastic job.

During our initial meeting, Jim listened very carefully to a few comments and requests I made. When his team later did the work, he remembered my input and took it into account, adjusting their usual approach on a couple of things so as to accommodate my concerns and preferences. Jim was on the job every day with his team, and they were all punctual, courteous, professional and efficient. Everyone was very cooperative and eager to please, and paid close attention to detail. They did a few minor extra things at no additional charge. They were careful about protecting things from drips and over spray, including brick, concrete, shingles, shrubs, windows and our A/C unit. The entire team works hard, and takes pride in their work. The quality of all work was excellent.

James Imburgia was a pleasure to work with. The work was done well and in a timely manner. He truly takes the customer is right to a new level, his manner and service showed this high ethic. We have no hesitation recommending him or using him in the future.

They were fantastic. Arrived when they said they would (for both estimate and to perform the job) - cleaned up after themselves, did a wonderful job painting. They were professional, applied multiple coats evenly, and it looks great!

Our communication was excellent from the beginning. I had one lower bid but went with Jim due to his apparent knowledge, good suggestions and sincerity. All proved to be true. Jim was personally on the job each day and he and his workers were punctual and professional. He used high quality paint. They completed the project on time and did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. They also did a few extra things at no additional charge to the original bid. The only "B" I reported was price but, probably should be an "A." It has been years since I had a house painted and I am out of touch with the pricing reality. I will definitely contact him for future painting needs and highly recommend him. The value of his work is self evident. You won't be disappointed.

Jim and his crew began work one afternoon at the appointed time, then finished the job the next day. They were neat, and carefully protected nearby surfaces when working on the floors and the ceilings.

Found James Imburgia Painting on Angie's List. After reading the reviews, gave them a call. Jim, "James Imburgia", answered personally. After explaining briefly what we needed done, we arranged a time for him to come by and give us an estimate. He arrived a bit ahead of the scheduled time, what a surprise, someone who actually shows up when their supposed too! Jim is a very clean cut, likeable, professional gentleman. We discussed our ideas for repainting with him at great length. His knowledge of his trade is quite extensive and we probably took advantage of him prying him for information and insight, but I don't think he minded. When you're that good, you don't mind sharing a bit of knowledge. After we had come to an agreement on the tasks to be performed, he provided us with a written estimate. It was more than fair so we scheduled a time for the work to commence. On the scheduled day, Jim and his crew , showed up right on time and after assigning his crew their tasks went right to work. These guys were amazing. Always looking after our furnishings and what have you, to be sure that nothing could be accidentally damaged during their work. They were always polite and professional anytime we stopped them to ask a question or just to talk. After two long days of hard work, the job was done, and it was gorgeous. Not only did they get everything perfect, Jim personally fixed a few other things that he ran across at no additional charge. Wow, what service! We have had other painters in the past, but these guys are the best. They finished the job ahead of schedule, exceeded all our expectations with the finished product and did it all within the original estimate. We will, without a doubt, be using James Imburgia Painting again.

Jim was very friendly and eager to please. We liked that he uses the same employees and is onsite himself supervising and also performing the work. We had a different company repaint the entire exterior ~6.5 yrs ago w/upgraded Sherwin-Williams Superpaint and after only ~5 yrs, paint started peeling from the trim. Very disappointing. So, we hired Jim to touch up the trim and paint a new exterior door from the 3rd garage to the backyard. When it's time to repaint the entire exterior again, we'll be looking Jim up again.

I found this company on Angie's List. The price I paid was very reasonable. The quality of work done was five star. The painter was very friendly and professional. This company provided excellent quality work.

We had gotten several bids for painting. Jim was pretty much on target - certainly not the cheapest, but I think you get what you pay for. They did a great job - we had no issues with over-spray. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They were very neat and did a great job. Would highly recommend them!

Jim was very professional and excellent with his communication and follow-through. Jim's work is truly outstanding. We were very impressed with the way he matched to the faux-finish area. The work he did on our kitchen cabinets and trim is truly outstanding. We particularly like that Jim does not sub-contract. He has a team and he is there working on the project with the team, which means he is only doing one job at a time. I appreciate and respect that approach. Jim is very customer-centric and he make sure the customer is completely happy with the work he has done even if he has to re-do something. I would recommend Jim to any of my friends or family. He isn't the cheapest; however, you absolutely get what you pay for with Jim. His quality and workmanship is impeccable. I look forward to working with him again in the future.

Jim was extremely prompt, providing an onsite estimate within 30 minutes of my phone call. He walked through the room and provided suggestions on painting, color choices and finishes. Our house needed to be painted prior to the movers coming and he was able to schedule his crew to come the next day. He and his crew were professional and thorough. They used high quality paints and it shows in the rooms they painted. As someone who has painted entire houses before, I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently his team worked while completing the job flawlessly. Also, we trusted he and his crew to perform the work without anyone in the house to supervise, they were extremely trustworthy. I would definitely recommend Jim again.

I received three estimates from different painters. James was in the middle as far as pricing but we chose him because he seemed honest and he worked with the crew, so I knew he would oversee all the work. We agreed on a date to start but they ended up coming a few days early as they had a change in their own schedule and it ended up working out fine. The whole job took three days. They came and power washed and did some minor repairs in prepping. We couldn't afford to put up new guttering so they did a wonderful job patching the holes to get us by for a few years. The next two days were spent with more prep and painting. James was great to make sure I was happy with the paint color and we love how the house turned out, especially our new wine colored door. The crew was very courteous and kept the mess to a minimum as they went. We would definitely use him again.

Experience was excellent. Jim Imburgia showed up promptly and gave (a) his judgement as to what should be done and (b) firm price for doing the work. He scheduled at our convenience (after the roofers finished) and arrived on the agreed date. He, and his crew of three, did nice work. They were neat and polite throughout. They took care in moving our things. They left the windows sparkling. They stayed on our job until it was finished.

Pre-Bid Jim Imburgia arrived at our initial meeting at the appointed time and conducted a site survey and presented us a written proposal that included a detailed scope of work with his recommendation of the painting materials specified. We listened very carefully and asked a lot of questions which he answered. Contract Award & Work Schedule We awarded Jim the contract that same week after receiving several other competitive bids based on price; painting specifications; scope of work; project work schedule and crew size; clean-up, and final inspection of completed work. The work under this contract began the week after award of contract with two days of surface preparation consisting of caulking, sealing and priming, followed by two and one-half days of painting. As the owner, Jim was an integral part of his painting crew on the job site every day. He had specific knowledge and was available for a consult at any time during the project. This was extremely important to us. He knows exactly what is going on at any given time. We did not have to call someone off site to go over any particular item or detail. Jim?s crew worked very efficiently with very little supervision. His crew was experienced, professional and did their jobs well without delay. Their attention to detail was evident and they cleaned up and hauled trash away every day. They made sure to protect brick, glass, floors, shrubbery, etc. with drop cloths and such to prevent paint spills, thank you very much. Final Inspection and Acceptance of Completed Work We conducted a final walk around inspection with Jim and a set of Binoculars to get a close up view of far away wooden trim, second floor windows, and roof vents along our multi-pitched roof. Jim still had his crew, ladders, caulk and paint materials available at the ready willing to do any touch-ups. We are completely satisfied with Jim Imburgia and his crew and would recommend him to other prospective customers. This was our first experience using Jim Imburgia Painting Contractor and we certainly will consider inviting Jim and James Imburgia Painting Contractor back whenever we are ready for interior painting.

Jim returned my call promptly, and was able to fit me in sooner than I'd dreamed would be possible. His philosophy is that when he's working on your job, he doesn't go to any other jobs. Yours is his priority and sole focus. (For someone with a smaller cottage, that was music to my ears.) Jim and I had discussed one option in the past, but we decided to go with a Chip board type product, because of it's lower cost and higher durability in an unheated/uncooled detached garage. That's one of the best things about Jim - he has so much experience and he shares that knowledge generously and tactfully. He made sure that the height of the shelves would work for us, and did some research about what kind of primer would be best for the product we decided on. (He really knows his business!) I was at work when he started, but first the old shelves that were held up with bolts and were sagging were all removed. Although we hadn't discussed it, when he started work, Jim saw that a plastic sheeting between the exterior boards and new interior would be good to do - and he did it! (He didn't charge me any more, either, which is wonderful!) Next the interior boards were installed and primed, then painted. Finally the shelves were put in and Jim and his team even placed all my things up on the shelves. It looks fantastic. I wish I had remembered to take before pictures, because the difference is unbelievable. It makes me happy to look at everything so clean, tidy, well organized and bright with color.

I had received quotes from numerous different companies and while James wasn't the cheapest, I liked him the most and wanted to give him my business. I truely enjoyed working with he and his personable crew. James and his crew of 3 men arrived on time. I didn't have many of the paint colors that were needed to touch up some of the rooms. James was able to match all of them perfectly. I will use James next time I have any painting work in the future.

I am very happy with Jim Imburgia and his employees. They were friendly and courteous. They did the job very well and on schedule. The house now looks much better. They even made a few improvements that were not in the contract, at no extra charge. I had a kink in my schedule that must have been awkward for Jim, but he worked around it and everything went smoothly. At the end of each day, the crew cleaned up the yard and left it neat. At the end of the job, they left the area spotless, looking better than it had before they started the job, to tell the truth. Near the end of the job, our next-door neighbor, who we don't often see because our schedules are so different, made it a point to tell me how good the house was looking. If I ever need another paint job, I'm calling Jim Imburgia.

Jim came out on 9/6/11 and did a walk around with me and evaluated the job. He made several recommendations that I agreed with and continually asked me if I was on the same page...and I was. He then wrote me an estimate (which was actually "less" than I thought it would be and I accepted. It seems that I was lucky that day, because he was supposed to be at someone else's house painting after roofers had finished the other customers house. Well, the roofers messed up, so Jim had time to do mine. He asked me if he and his crew could start the next day, and I was glad to oblige. He and his crew arrived promptly the next morning and started removing gutters, replacing the rotten wood, prepping, power washing and caulking. I left work early that day so they could paint the doors while I was there (Jim said that he could come back at my convenience and do them, but it was not a big deal to me). He did another walk through with me to keep me apprised of everything they did...and everything left to do the following day. Things were really taking shape! The next day, Jim and crew were again prompt and began the job of painting the chimney and eaves. When I arrived home, I was very pleased with the work and the cleanup that was done. I told him that I had some other work inside the house that I would be in touch with him about in the future. I will not hesitate to use him again!!!

They did a great job. They showed up when they said they would ready to work, they patched various nail holes, they put on multiple coats to get a good covering, and they cleaned up and moved furniture back to the original locations when they left.

Everything went great. He was very punctual and good at keeping informed with their progress. The quality overall seems great, but their are a couple of small areas of over-spray or thin/missing paint. But these are hardly noticeable.

He showed up on-time to the scheduled estimate and provided me with all the information I needed to make my decision. I had gotten 3 estimates, and his was the lowest. On the day he came to paint the gazebo, he finished before he thought he would. It looks nicely painted. He was very professional and friendly. I would use him again.

Received the quote on a Wednesday, we agreed on price and install date the next Friday. The work was completed today on a Saturday. Jim and his assistants took extra care covering everything before the paint went on. All of our rotten wood is repaired, and every crevice is caulked. The house looks brand new again! Very pleased with the workmanship, the professionalism, and cleaning up afterward. He even left us extra paint for future touch ups. Great service at a great price, just wished I would have thought to use Angie's list coupon! Thanks!

We were very much impressed with the attention to detail and how professional Jim and his entire team were. Jim went beyond simply applying paint and stain to let us know where we could use some additional work. Some of his suggestions were spot on! When we need painting done again - his is the only number we will call!

They were on time, worked all day until the job was finished at 7:00 p.m. Cleaned their equipment & the job site perfectly.
