Excellent! Our home was built in 1974 when the pipes used were smaller. As a result, we have a lot of trouble with our kitchen sink not draining. We bought the home in 2002 and that was the first year we used D.E.B.'s Plumbing. For 11 years of servicing all of our plumbing needs, Bart at DEB's Plumbing has provided nothing less than superior service every time. We understand that any trade that is licensed is a bit pricey, whether it is a plumber, electrician or any other highly skilled professional trade that homeowners must use in order to maintain their homes. So, we expect to pay for excellent, knowledgeable, thorough, professional, prompt and reliable service - as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." By the way, D.E.B.'s Plumbing has NEVER had to come back out to redo their work due to poor quality. - which we have done to other plumbers in the past (before we found out about D.E.B.'s Plumbing). MY OPINION: I see a lot of reviews on Angie's List where the customer is downright h****** these service companies. We should all remember that to the measure we judge, so will we be judged. I wonder if customers stop to think if they would like to be treated the same way? What if companies had a website to protect themselves from and to warn companies of disgruntled, unreasonable, customers? I'm sure some customers would not be able to get a company to perform the services they needed to get done until they learned to be more understanding.

Terrible, we were taken for a ride, and overcharged for unnecessary work.
Description of Work: We had called this plumber to repair a gas pipe that was damaged on our property. Our gas meter had been hit by a car and before we could get it replaced ,the riser pipe needed to be repaired. He arrived and told us we needed a 10lb pressure test to be done to see if there were any gas leaks in the home. It was done, and he said there was a leak in the attic. It was fixed, and he said we would need some pipe upgrades done to the 2 furnaces upstairs. He told us we would not pass a code inspection if we did not get the repairs done. He did some work and said he would return the next day to see if there were anymore leaks or repairs to be done. This started on Monday and Tuesday he returned, to do another pressure test. While he waited for the test to be done, he went into the upstairs attic to check for anymore code violations. He moved some insulation away from some vents. When he came down, he said the test was good and he would call for the inspector to come by. It would be awhile before they would be by, so he said he would return later. In the meantime, I called the city inspector's office to see when he might be coming, since we had not had any heat or hot water since Saturday when the meter was damaged. By this time we were getting cold in our home. The lady said he would be by as soon as he could. I was telling her what all the plumber was doing to get our home ready to be inspected. She told us that they never come into the house, all they needed was the pressure test done, and passed. The inspector arrived and told us he would not be coming in the house. All he needed was the pressure test. He also said that the city only required a 4lb test, not a 10lb test. The plumber came back about the same time that Atmos Energy techs arrived. They also said he was doing work that we did not need done. He said he was waiting to install the meter. I told him that Atmos would be installing the meter, and that we were done with his work. He gathered his pressure meter, and my husband asked him why he had done all of the extra work that we had not needed, and why the city only required a 4lb test, and he said we needed a10lb test done. He said are you saying you think I overcharged you? My husband said yes! So he got out his credit card machine and charged us an additional 157.00 on top of the 750.00 he had already had us pay. We are not unhappy with his work, but he did work for an inspection we did not need. His answer to this was that he had done hundreds of these types of repairs, and every city was different with how they did inspections. I told him earlier when I called the city, that they were not coming in the house. He just ignored my response to that. We wish that we had Angie's list before this ordeal happened. We were charged for 5 hours of work that could have been done at so much less time. The work he did is not in question, but it was not needed, and we feel like we were taken advantage of.

It was a terrible experience. We were taken for a ride. We would never use them again.
Description of Work: We called this plumber, Bart Brackeen at D.E.B.'s Plumbing Connection, to repair damaged pipes, to replace a Gas Meter that was hit by a car. Atmos Energy removed the broken meter. We were told that a plumber would have to repair the riser pipes on our side of the property. He told us when he arrived, that he would have to do a 10lb pressure test on our plumbing, and see if we had any additional gas leaks to our home. He also said he would have to check our furnaces to see if they were up to any code violations. He found one leak in our attic, and repaired it. He said we would need some different types of pipes to 2 of our furnaces. One of them I told him that we never used it, because it was an upstairs unit, and our heat from downstairs go up, and it wasn't ever needed. He fixed that pipe anyways. This took him 2 days to complete, to get our home ready for the code inspector from our city. I called the city inspectors office to see when the inspector would be at our home, and told them what all the plumber was doing. I was informed that all they would be doing was checking for the pressure test and they never enter the homes. All they needed was that the pressure test was passing. They also said it was only required to have a 4lb test done, not a 10lb test. The inspector came and saw that the test was a pass and that was all they needed. He told us, as well as 2 Atmos technicians that installed our Gas Meter that he had done unnecessary work, that was not needed. My husband told him that he had GREATLY OVERCHARGE us, and we were very angry for all the services he had performed that were not needed. It made him angry and he charged me 157.00 more on top of the 750.00 he had already charged us. His excuse to us was, that he had performed hundreds of these types of services, and every city was different as what they would do, as far as inspections go. I had told him earlier that when I called the city before, that they said they only checked the pressure test, and that was all they would be looking at. He charged us for 5 hours of work that could have been done at a lot less time. He also waited around to install the Gas Meter that we told him Atmos was installing it. He did not need to do that. My husband and myself both feel like we were taken advantage of by this company. We are not unhappy with his work, but feel like he did unnecessary work that we did not need. It turned out to be much more money spent that wasn't needed. We wish that we had used Angie's list before we called this plumber. We also hope to share this ordeal to others, so they don't have the same experience .
