After submitting a web request through Angie's List, Barney was prompt at calling to discuss our need, provided a verbal estimate and schedule a repair. He followed up with a phone call when he had an earlier time slot open up and was on time. Barney was very professional. I had to be gone for a business meeting so my wife had to work with Barney and his helper and she was also treated with professionalism and respect. His work was to the point and priced reasonably. We will use Barney again if another need arises.

It went great. Barney is friendly and prompt and did a good job. We will definately use him again.

I talked with Barney regarding lights flickering and what I assummed was a GFI issue in the kitchen. He replaced the old GFI and then went further with his diagonosis of the electric panel. That's where he found very hot wires leading outside to the meter box. He replaced the electrical connections in the meter box and then determined that the "smart" meter was not working properly. I called Oncor and they replaced the meter and everything is working fine now. The hot wires could have caused a fire had Barney not taken the time to look at the circuit panel.

Called Barney yesterday to get a quote. Although not inexpensive, he was reasonable and timing was perfect. He arrived this morning and had the box installed within a couple of hours. He knows his business, is professional, prompt and always cleans up the work area. This is the second time we have used Barney and will continue to do so for future electrician needs.

Went very smoothly. Barney was punctual, well organized and effective. Very professional. Price was fair.

He called back within the hour and made arrangments to come by the same day. Although a small job, I was impressed with his promptness and quick installation of the GFI. Would use his services again.

Barney came out within 30 minutes of call, removed fried outlet from a power surge, ordered replacement outlet box. Came out 2 business days later to replace as promised. I think his price was appropriate.

We have used Barney several times over the years since we moved to Rockwall, His prices are reasonable. Big smile and great attitude, too. I would not have anyone else touch my electrical things.

Turned on the television last night and we lost power in the entry hall and two other rooms. After reviewing Angie's List, I found Barney and called him about 9:00 PM. We made plans for the next morning for a visit. Shortly after, I discovered the refrigerator had no power and called Barney back since he had offered to come out last night. About 30 minutes later, he arrived at our house and began diagnosing the situation. He found the problem and said he would return this morning. He arrived first thing with his associate and began to correct the situation. This led to other issues that needed to be corrected due to a remodel we had about 4 years ago. After rewiring the other two circuits, all was working properly. I really appreciated Barney's quick response and concern that everything was done properly and safely. He is an independent businessman who stands behind what he does.

Great experience. I called Barney's, he called right back, and we set an appointment. Next day Barney and his crew arrived on time, diagnosed the situation and went to work. They had all the parts on the truck and finished in less time than I had anticipated and at a cost less than I had figured. Equally impressive is that it says on the side of the truck "Owner on site at every job" and he was there the entire time. Barney called the next day to follow up that everything was working correctly and it was. Highly recommended from me!

The work of Barney's Electric was good. I thought they were a little overpriced. They did exactly what they were supposed to do.

Barney did an excellent job. We discovered that the pool motor had burnt up and some wiring had burned as well. The pool company replaced the motor & then Barney replaced the wiring. He also did a careful review of all of the wiring that could have been affected. He called back to ensure that the pool motor worked correctly after the pool company restarted everything. And he spoke directly with the pool company about one wire he was concerned about. We've always had a good experience using this company & highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Everything was professionally and quickly done. Barney was very responsive. Both he and his employee were very friendly. My only issue was I thought the price was too high. He charges $135 per pot with everything included, even the light bulbs. And his price was in line with other companies. I got a quote from one other company and they charged $100 per pot, but they did only the labor and it was the customers responsibility to get the fixture, trim and light bulbs. I did not want to deal with all that so I went with Barney's. My issue with pricing is that I feel it should be estimated per job rather then have a one price fits all. I have a two story home so it was hard to tell how difficult the job would be. I know in some homes depending on construction there may have to be a lot of drilling through floor beams and making a few extra holes in the sheet rock to run the cable. So in this case I can see charging the extra money, But in my house I had pre-engineered joists and there was ample room to run the wiring and install the lights. The whole job was done in two hours. So in my opinion, $810 for two hours work seems somewhat high, but I guess this is just the industry norm of doing business, so this opinion is nothing against Barney's Electric. All the other places I called and they follow the same standard.

Great, very professional, arrives early, knows his stuff. Did a fantastic job. He told me what did and didn't need to be done, which was a huge relief since I've had contractors overquote many times before. I recommend him to everyone.

So far I am happy with them. They are god overall.

The project went extremely well. Not only did he do what was asked but also noted other potential problems and corrected them. And, no, he didn't invent them to raise his price--he pointed them out so you knew he was telling you the truth.

Here when he said he would be. Lets you know if he'll be late or early. He actually answers his phone.
