I scheduled an appointment through the site and no one showed up. I had to make a couple of calls before someone came out. I bought an Angie's List deal and when the first plumber came out, he gave me an additional quote to change the lines. The faucet I purchased had the lines attached and it didn't match the opening to the sink. I searched everywhere and was told that most of the hoses have 3/4 inch and the opening to my sink was 1/2. Long story short, the 2nd plumber came out changed it out and it didn't quote me an additional charge. It took him less than a hour to complete and it works perfectly.

The did a great job. Two young men came, both were professional, polite, and had a great attitude. I will say from all plumbers I've used in the past, the two men probably rank as the 1st or 2nd best ever. They performed all the work as good as I could have expected-no problems at all. Concerning the cost I list as $335-this includes a coupon pd for prior for $135 to install the faucet. The extra $200(approx.) was for the new disposal I agreed to have installed.
Description of Work: We had a new granite counter installed that included a new sink (sink was installed by the granite installers)- Bacon Plumbers came AFTER the sink & counter was installed. Specifically Bacon plumber installed a new faucet, reconnected all piping under the sink, installed two new shut off valves, installed a new garbage disposal. Also reconnected the gas stove top which had been removed by the granite installers

I did some research and discovered that they job, that I needed done, did not require all of the work they claimed it would. Also, the last time I used them, they did not leave a water heater, that they installed, up to code.

On July 20th, 2015 the customer contacted us to diagnose a leak in his garden tub faucet. We went out to his address, that same day, to evaluate the leak and to provide and estimate for repair which involved replacing his leaking Jacuzzi Tub faucet. At his request we provided a labor only estimate for a customer supplied faucet based on the inspection of the plumber. On 7/21/15 we called and left a message for him as part of a standard follow up "Happy Check". He called us back and advised that he was happy with our service and evaluation. I reviewed our service records back through 2014 and I do not show that we had been out to this address at all before 7/20/15 or that we installed a water heater. If we did he did not and has not contacted us to make corrections or repairs for any code upgrades that he indicates were missed. I tried to call the customer to discuss his concerns but to date he has not returned my call. We value this and every Bacon Plumbing customers and, if he will return our call we are completely willing to correct any issues he may have with our work or our service on his water heater.

I caution everyone on Using Bacon Plumbing of Rockwall. Our Water heater busted on Sunday December 28th about mid day. Water was pouring out of the beast! We shut off the water to the house and phoned our Warranty service for our Home. We were given Bacon Plumbing as our response. We called and left messages on the Oncall and they were notified through the warranty service. Sam the on call Plumber called and was very nice. He gave us instruction on how to route the water so we could have cold water. Sam came by the house to take a look and said we would need another water heater. The next Day Monday around 2-3pm David(or Dave?) and Tex came to install the new water heater. They left around 5pm and said we should have hot water in about an hour. After 3 hours we called Sam again. He had us check several things on the heater and walked us through resetting the water heater. Sam also said he would have someone come out and take a look again on Tuesday. No one ever showed but the heater was partially working so we called Tuesday evening and told sam again that the recovery time for hot water was still having issues. Wednesday Am around 1:30AM 2 very loud pops and a bang woke me from my sleep. I went to the Garage to find water leaking down the front of the new water heater and the Breaker had been tripped. We called Sam who told us to call back around 7am to get service to come out again to look at the water heater. At 7:30am we called and were told they would call us back in an hour.. At 8:30 we called and they said they would squeeze us in but did not have a time that someone would come out. AT this point I had had it! I called spoke to Amber(I think is her name maybe Amanda she answers the calls and seems nice). I wanted to talk to the owner. After being transferred 3 times, each time being sent to voicemail I finally got through to Brad. Brad I am told is the owner of Bacon Plumbing. He has NO regard for customer service. The basics of the conversation and his point was it must have been a faulty water heater. He has no control over that so he did not understand what my problem was. I wanted a discount or some kind of compensation for the amount of time I have been without a water heater he told me you do not get a discount when you return a TV to Walmart so I was not getting anything from him. So I said Walmart gives refund I want my money back and you can have your broken water heater. This would allow me to call service that would care about my inconvenience. I have 3 children 6 and under and several days without hot water is not acceptable. He agreed. I called the warranty service who said per contract he has to finish the job and he cannot do a refund. They would take care of the communication between us from this point on. So Brad himself had to bring the water heater to his guys to install in my home. It was installed Wednesday around 11am. Mike the new Plumber installed this water heater. Mike seems very nice. He said we would have hot water in an hour. at Noon no hot water. The breaker was tripped and would not reset. So called the warranty service to call Bacon plumbing once again. I was told that Mike was in Carrollton and I would have to wait until his job there was complete and he would stop by. Mike showed again around 3:30pm. He told us we need an electrician. Apparently the water heater had blown the breaker. Something you would have thought Mike would have noticed when he turned the breaker on for the heater. So On New Years Eve at 3:30pm we are looking through the service for an Electrician!!! We were very lucky that All American Electric of Dallas was there to help us. They replaced the breaker and by 8pm we finally had hot water. I do not feel that Bacon Plumbing is the service you should use in your time of crisis as they were not helpful in mine. I hope you can find another service who will better care for your needs.

Response from Bacon Plumbing, Heating, Air, Electric
This AHS customer is being dishonest, they paid $225 out of pocket to Bacon Plumbing for a water heater that their home warranty provided. The service we provided was above and beyond considering the situation. The customer started off upset that their home warranty didn't pay the whole claim and had a $225 out of pocket. After we installed a brand new AHS supplied water heater at this customers house the electrical breaker went out. All Bacon did was flip the breaker off so we were not electrocuted during the install, after flipping it back out and left the home that breaker went out and shorted the water heater out. We came back out the next day to install another brand new water heater for them and informed them they needed a electrician to replace the old breaker. The customer had AHS send out a electrician to replace the breaker for $100 and everything worked perfect. The main issue with this complaint starts with the customer having to pay for part of the water heater and Bacon Plumbing has no control over that. If you read our retail customer reviews you can better understand Bacon Plumbing. Thanks!!

We weren’t satisfied with the service and didn’t let them complete the job due to poor customer service. We had no issues with the plumbers, but with the company being unresponsive. They weren’t able to come out due to a bad storm. I called the office and left a voice mail to let them know that the driver called me and wouldn’t be able to come, and to call me back to reschedule the appointment. Three days later, I still had not received a call, so I called my home warranty company to let them know about what happened. They contacted Bacon Plumbing and let me know that I was on the schedule for the next day, but no one from Bacon Plumbing had called to let me know. When they came out again, the plumber didn’t have the right tools for the job. They never called and I had to call them again to schedule service which was too much so we never used them.

This was a call we ran for home warranty that was denied and the warranty company only ask that we complete a call within 96 hours if job was covered... We follow the home warranty guidelines, if it's a retail customer we don't have a 96 hour completion... We didn't even do the job for the customer and it was through the home warranty and not a retail customer... Take this review down please

Bacon Plumbing was on my American Home Shield Home Protection Plan. I called them out for a leaking garbage disposal. They arrived w/i the 4 hours window. Completed the job in 22 minutes. I only had to pay the $75 trip fee which is a great deal. However, I had to asked for manual as they were ready to pack it up along with my old disposal. They were going to keep the new sink flange which they did not installed. When I asked them about installing the sink flange, they said it would cost extra, which is kind of odd since it came with the garbage disposal. They left after testing the garbage disposal, but did not run the dish washing machine as the dish washing machine is connected to the garbage disposal. I hope it won't leak. BTW, they had several not so favorable reviews on Yelp, but mine was a simple job. 8/15/14: When I ran the dishwasher last night, there were leaks where the garbage disposal was connected. Called AHS who sent a mesage to Bacon Plumbing. They called back and said they will be available to come out Tues b/t 10-2. The receptionist lady was helpful, and agreed to r/s for Sat 8/23/14. 9/6/14: After several missed appointments, Bacon Plumbing came to my house and repair the u-tube section if the drainage pipe where there was a small crack for no charge. They told me my scheduled appointment was "b/t 8 am to 4 pm". Only after I raised an objection that it would confine me to my house on a Saturday, and I would report in on Angie's List did the lady called her boss and narrow the call window to a 4 hour period. It should never have come to that! I called them because they were part of my AHS home owner insurance coverage. They did the job, but the communication can be better.

Gary, the technician showed up to my home in the last 45 minutes of the four hour window that was provided to me. His appearance was reasonable for a plumber, and his associate were kind enough to put on protective covers over their fairly dirty boots. Gary also had a dip in when he showed at my door. I myself am an occassional user of smokeless tobacco and my job takes me to others homes, but I would NEVER show up with one in my mouth, nor ever have one in in someone elses home. Strike 1...... After BRIEFLY talking to me about the problems in my house (I had ONE stopped up toilet, and ONE stopped up shower Gary goes to the truck to get his snake and goes to work on the toilet. He then comes and meets me in the kitchen and takes a look at my kitchen sink issue (a small leak, which I wasn't all that concerned about), for about 10 seconds. We both decide that the problem wasn't rearing its head and we would come back to it. I started asking Gary about the issues he found and he is playing coy with me about whats going on. I found out that the reason he did that was because he hadn't called American Homeshield Yet...... I overhear Gary talking to the rep from AHS and telling them that the entire plumbing system in my home was clogged (false) and that it was caused by flushing paper towels (also false). I start becoming acutely aware of what is going on and start listening closer. He then tells me that the AHS rep would like to talk to me. I discuss the issue with Shauna and she tells me that Gary has told her that we had recovered paper towels from the drain and that to fix it he would have to get up on the roof. Mind you, none of this stuff had been discussed with me by Gary, I was just bombarded by it. I then get a bill laid in front of me for the work order for $750. Now, I am no plumber, but Gary did not thoroughly check the drain outside and before he left, he didn't do anything. Just took the $75.00 check and bolted. Overall they were here for about 30 minutes, about 5 of which work was done. I have a problem with many things here, but 2 things needs to be highlighted: The lack of communication and the lack of diligence. Gary was quick to rush to the most expensive fix for the problem and did squat to discuss it with me. Even if the clog was made by baby wipes (not paper towels), I understand that this is not an issue with normal wear and tear, I was bombarded by the laying of a $750 invoice in front of me. The lack of diligence directly relates to questions of their honesty. Claiming that the most expensive fix is the right fix without exploring or discussing other options is lazy and dishonest. I have a second opinion coming tomorrow and will update the review with their findings. If I find that any of their proposed work was embellished I will be changing this grade to an F-

We were experiencing stoppage issues in the master bedroom including the toilet and shower. I called and set up an appointment and the crew was on time and was actually waiting on me when I got home. They diagnosed the problem and were able to fix it within about 45 minutes. They also ran a camera from the roof down to show me what my pipes look and explained potential problems I may have in the future. They did not try to hard sell me on extra services and I felt they were more interested in me knowing about the issues than making extra money off me.

We were very pleased and will use Brad and his company for ANY plumbing issues we may encounter. They are really great, professional, quick, and knowledgeable and very down to earth too.
Description of Work: Brad Bacon, owner of Bacon Plumbing, showed up himself on time! for the original estimate. I had done some study of reviews and he had a few good reports. He was very professional and KNOWLEDGABLE about the scope of the job which was a large job repairing numerous sewer leaks that had been previously identified during an insurance claim evaluation. Since Insurance was not covering this project, he was very understanding and negotiable for a major job such as we had. After several other bids, we did select his company and scheduled the time and his crew showed up and worked 3 days doing the major digging, repairing, and installation of new PVC pipes. I believe it was over 50 ft. of sewer line as our home was 33 years old! His crew did a great job of preparation with tarps to cover the inside and outside lawn areas. It was very obvious quickly that his crew knew their job very well. His foreman and other workers kept me informed at all times of their progress and left one bathroom of three available at all times for our and their use. They did numerous testing as they would complete each part of the leaks and at the end a major test which showed NO LEAKS!! We were very impressed with how clean their work was and how well they contained all the dust and dirt from the excavations below the foundation both inside and outside the home area. He even threw in some other repairs for free!!! BRAD AND TEAM ARE AMAZING!! I had some real weird folks bidding but it was very obvious Brad and company are the REAL DEAL and they did a FANTASTIC JOB....GO BACON.

. Brad Bacon headed up a team to get done exactly what I wanted. Here Is a list of highlights: > All work was done quickly and cleanly. Unlike other contractors I have used in the past that work one day and then you don't see them for three. > He had great ideas that helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. > The tile guy was incredible. > All plumbing work was done to perfection. > There were no surprises. > Any questions were answers immediately.
Description of Work: I needed to have a corner bathtub removed and a tiled shower stall installed. This included demolition of the existing tub, Taking the walls down to the studs. Moving the drain. Moving the plumbing lines. Preparing the walls for tile. Making a new drain pan. Tiling the walls and installing the glass and fixtures.

From the call to the completion of the job, Brad was very curtious and responsive. I got an estimate right away without having to wait 1/2 day for him to get back with me. I needed a new hot water heater installed on Friday morning and he was able to show up on time with all the parts necessary to complete the job. Other nice thing Brad did, was he took his shoes off when walking in the house and put down drop cloths to not mess up my hard wood floors. Very nice. I recommend Bacon Plumbing.
