I had a 3 ton unit in my house and they replaced it with a 2 1/2 ton unit and it is not cooling my house and I tried to get them to put a 4 ton back in and they absolutely refused and now I am going to have to get another company to install a 3 ton unit to keep my house cool I would not recommend this company to anyone

The AC duct cleaning was well done, but super expensive. Only game in town, so we had no choice in the matter as they really needed to be done.

They did a good job. It was fine. I've always been pleased with them in the past. The price was part of the contract we bought when we put the air conditioner and heating system for us. We didn't look around but it was a fair price.

9/14/14 - The service went well. 10/15/15 Update: The responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism were not at issue. In fact, I'd say they ranked very high as they came out quickly, were punctual, and, even though I was not completely satisfied with the overall service, those who we were in contact with were professional. The issue during this call, however, related more to the quality and the additional price of the service. The diagnosis was partially completed when it was discovered the unit pan was full of water and the outside line was clogged. I'm glad they require permission to perform as mundane a task as to blow the debris out of the line as I discovered the cost for doing something as simple as this would cost $357. I've had other a/c companies come when there has been a similar issue with the drain pan and line and they cleared the line free of charge. I explained to the technician that I'd have my nephew clear the line so that he could continue with the diagnostic. However, I found out that the $79.99 diagnostic fee was paid prior to the clearing of the drain pan and line, and left. The drain pan and line has been cleared quite easily and the a/c is working fine but I'm out of having an incomplete diagnostic that was paid therefore I don't feel the quality of the service (D) or the price (F) was satisfactory. It took less than 15 minutes to clear the line with the right equipment (wet/dry vac) and get the unit blowing cold air. The $357 price for such a simple task seems exorbitant. (unreasonably high).

I really did not have a very good experience with them. I saw an ad for them in a local magazine. They came back with an estimate for something like $2,200 to repair the ductwork in my attic. This is for an apartment that has only 1,200 square feet. I told them I could not use their service because I could probably have the ductwork completely replaced for only about $1,000 and it was ridiculous. So they charged me $595 and I got no benefit from it. I have had another air conditioning come and inspect it and say they do not see any problems. They were polite, on time and did what I asked them to do. I just had no idea it was going to be in that price range and I had no idea that I could just go to an A/C firm and have all the ductwork replaced for about $1,000. It was expensive.

The service was very good. The two gentlemen who showed up to install the unit, I'm not saying they were not qualified, but they had a lot of questions they were asking the main technician. He left to go to some other job then the other two guys hooked up what the supervisor did in my yard. Everything was okay and they left. About two or three months after that the air conditioner froze up and would not work again. When I called them the head technician came back and said he was sorry that something had happened and that it was his fault. I had no idea what it was or anything. After he came back and fixed whatever was wrong with it, it has been good quality since then.

Spent a lot of time trying to convince me to purchase a new system even tho not needed. Had to sit and go thru a long survey questionaire designed to make my answers appear that I need a new system. Did not like going thru all that. Service call was also a couple months behind schedule, but when I contacted them about missed service call they responded quickly. Technician did good job checking system.

Angie list special deal AC tune up $59 or whatever. As expected the contractor managed to find other problems in my perfectly performing AC and sold me a diode or something. Maybe I got great service. Maybe I got ripped off. Scary stuff. Not too confident in Angie's "great deals" either. Also worried about giving honest reviews and getting blowback.

Showed up on time. Removed old HVAC system and old duct work and brought in and installe new in just under 2 days. Everybody involved was very efficient and courteous.

It turned out okay. They recommended a few things and it was okay. I wasn't around when he did the work but my son says he didn't open up anything except the front panel for the furnace. We made an appointment but they postpone to the next day.

I paid for the service and was never contacted by Aire Serv. Very unprofessional to list a job and not contact someone who paid up front.

They contacted me through Angie’s List to let me know they didn’t service my area. It was all taken care of and refunded in about a week or so. Everything went real smooth.

There were additional charges, but they weren't related. I needed a new system, so I bought a new AC system from them. They are professional, and they make sure everything is correct. They did a good job.

The repairman was wonderful. He was very informative and helpful. He did alarm me when he suggested some updates to my system, however, my unit is grandfathered and can still function, according to the repairman. Sevco's regular rates are a bit high comapred to other AC/Heat repairman. However, I would use them again.

Did a good job; said he'd order me a filter, but never heard from, so I just bought my own.

Service person was knowlegable, worked quickly. I purchased a service plan- two check up visits next year.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. He was pretty thorough. I had an extra unit so I did that service as well so I paid extra. The worker was fine. He was good and knowledgeable. The price was okay.

I have upstairs & downstairs units but $59 was only for 1. Spent a lot of time cleaning and checking system. Tech was very helpful providing details and information. Low on Freon but they charge 3# minimum at almost $100/lb. R-22. Found a leak but quoted a new system to fix it..

I was very pleased with them. They were very professional and they also were very neat in entering my home.

The technician was very friendly and clean. He gave me some great advice on which air filters to use (apparently I was buying and using very good vent filters which were making my unit work overtime). I will absolutely be recommending Aire Serv to family and friends and will be using them in the future for additional tune-ups and maintenance.

I will start by saying all reps / techs that came to my home, were prompt, hard workers, pleasant and courteous. After each step of the process, there seemed to be internal mis-communication to the point that I became doubtful of what had transpired while on-site. 16 June 14 (since no communication, invoice, followup had been received or scheduled) I called the original Rep and explained my concerns. Before the end of THAT SAME DAY, he called me back with information regarding all events that had transpired, all events that had NOT transpired and explained in detail what should have been done, and why; apologized for the mis-communication AND passed along information regarding possible companies in this area that could complete all needed tasks. It seems that my home has the type of ductwork that is metal, therefore Aire-Serv cannot seal any seams due to not having that type of equipment, as the metal ductwork in NOT the norm for today. So I was refunded all the monies that pertained to duct work cleaning, repair/sealing. I checked NO above regarding calling them again, as I cannot use them, due to the explanation above. Would I recommend the company to someone else, YES - BUT, would suggest you not go forward with work until you have a VERY specific outline of recommendations and expectations for your system, and make you sure you understand each step and what work each step entails. Demand answers first OR follow up with your original rep. Do not take the next step until you have an invoice or a report in your hand. This is probably a good consumer tool for whatever or whomever is providing services. I simply was not pushy enough. Bottom line - the company did not communicate with each other or with me on my particular circumstances, which i doubt is normal for them. I would call it all a comedy of errors. Did they make things right, once they learned of my issues, YES! And in an almost unbelievable time frame. That speaks volumes for their integrity.

I used their special wherein you can get the $90 service for only $40. Everything was excellent. They were absolutely wonderful. They were very professional.

The Aire Serv guys were great. Very polite, put on booties in our home. We bought our home last year and have had a problem with the upstairs not cooling. They balanced the system so that the airflow would be more efficient cooling the whole house. They also performed a FREE coolsaver cleaning in conjunction with AEP to increase the efficiency of our unit. They had come out a few weeks before to evaluate the system to determine what was wrong. The scheduling was easy and they actually moved the date, when the projected weather was too cold to properly evaluate if the system was cooling correctly.

They were quick, clean and professional.
