Work was satisfactory but 100 percent warranty on compressor labor $1300 about twice as high as average area cost. Two people came out one did the work one stayed on the phone. Was here less than two hours

You were aware of the cost involved well before we ordered the part. You also did not mention the work that was done in a Saturday night for a few hours either. This review is null and void IMO. You are basing it off of anger and not about the competency of a business.

It was an excellent experience from start to finish! My HVAC went out overnight. I called in the morning when I realized what had happened and they were out to my house within an hour of calling. Bill was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Thankfully it ended up being a relatively quick fix and Bill was able to get our HVAC running again in less than an hour. Would highly recommend!

Being new to the area, I searched on Angie's List for reviews for someone to fix my broken AC unit. I called and he was here in less than 30 minutes. And what I feared would be a high cost repair or even worse, a replacement, was quickly diagnosed (replace burned contacts & freon needed) and fixed for a low cost in less than 1 hour from the original time I called. He even put a new filter in that I had bought and wasn't able to figure out how to install by myself. And he also showed me what to look for in the future so I'd know if my unit needed freon again. Super helpful and knowledgeable - I'd recommend Baileys AC to anyone and will use him again in the future for sure. I'm enjoying my VERY COOL AC right now!

Post incident update is below review.... 08/15/2016 Called early Friday 8/12/16. Requested a service call and was told they would be out between 2-4pm same day. Was called and voicemail left on my cell that they could not come due to other job overruns. Said Monday was earliest they could address my problem. Bailey installed this A/C approx. 3 years ago and unit has given good service. However, the emergency secondary overflow drain that the prior unit had installed was uninstalled and instead an electrical cutoff switch was installed in the A/C unit external overflow pan. This switch did not work and therefore condenser water began spilling onto the ceiling around the unit. Non-use of the A/C was not an option with 4 grandbabies and 15 visiting adults were in our home. Placed pans to catch as much of the water coming thru the ceiling as we could. Just guessing between 500-1000 dollars of water damage has been done due to the leak. I have not yet gotten an estimate. The only small consolation is that temperatures moderated and we were able to set thermostat higher to reduce the amount of time the unit ran and therefore reduce the amount of water coming thru the ceiling. Over the weekend ceiling spackling began falling into the hallway. I called again on Monday morning to see when the problem could be addressed and was told that it could not be looked at until end of the week maybe. Business must be really good to completely discount existing loyal customers. This experience is not yet over. Will now attempt to begin a new business relationship with another A/C company. I personally did all I could to unstop the drain and failed. At 63 I don't do attics anymore. Sad to have what was once a really good business go bad. A/C drain unplug Updated 08/26/16 by review originator I was contacted by owner on 08/24/16 as a follow-up call based on my critical review. Conversation was open and friendly as per my observation. He apologized for inability of his company to help me with my problem. He offered some additional incentives to allow him to absolve the situation. I feel him was genuine in his offer and could detect that he was not happy with failing to meet my service needs. I am normally a very good judge of character and know that he was sincere and wished this failure had not happened. As I communicated to him, no one is perfect. I had my unit serviced by another company(review pending). I plan in the future to give this company another chance as in most instances in life few second chances are awarded.

Bill was very friendly and professional. He arrived ahead of schedule. My greatest concern was that my unit might be leaking, or at least need a charge. He found a burnt common wire as soon as he pulled the cover off the unit. He quickly replaced it, started the unit, and viola... it ran like it's supposed to, without cutting out. He also inspected for leaks and assured me everything looked okay, and that he could tell the charge was good by the way the tubing sweated back quickly. He told me I would need to replace the start capacitor soon, and offered to replace it then. I declined, as I had replaced it several times already, and knew what to do from there. This unit will need replacing in the near future, no doubt. Bill will be the man for the job. Thanks Bill!

We are on our own trying to find help with a broken system. AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: Provider cannot maintain the systems he sells. We have been without air now on a unit Bailey installed. We have been without air for going on five days. I got upset with Bailey for being so difficult to communicate with and he told me he was cutting ties with me and that I was on my own. He knows we have a family here of five people without heat in the winter and could care less because he got his little feelings hurt. Well, he needs to learn to treat his customers with respect and professionalism in the future. I would not buy anything from this man again.

Dear [Member Name Removed], being a small business owner, it is often times hard to meet the many demands I receive each and every day. It is always my intentions to fully take care of every customer. I have and will never deny my customers the attention they need and deserve. After receiving SEVERAL extremely demanding and angry voicemails and emails from yourself, I did chose to personally withdraw from any further work with you. Before these voicemails, which I have saved, we could have easily worked something out to fix your unit and resolved this issue. On a different note, I do appreciate yours, along with many others, positive reviews on my work.

They did an excellent job on top of volunteering to unroll the extra insulation for almost nothing. I live in Albuquerque and my aging parents live in Waco, so I depended on Angie's List to provide me with top-quality, customer-reviewed candidate contractors. I needed a contractor I could trust from this distance, and I had to take care of all business by phone or email. I had only one face-to-face meeting with Bill Bailey, and he was very customer conscious, respectful and clear about what he was willing to do. My parents were extremely comfortable with him and his workers, and they were very happy with the process of installation. Disruption was kept to a minimum and the work done extremely efficiently. Having recently visited, I can say the system works well, the home feels more insulated, and the long-distance project was a success. The price was very competitive, as well. Though I'm unsure of the long-term reliability of the system brand, I'm confident this company will stand behind it.
Description of Work: Replaced heating and air conditioning unit in my parents' home. They also installed attic insulation in a few areas that had been left un-installed for years. This included putting down a bit of new insulation in the rest of the attic to improve R-value. They installed a new compressor outside as well.

Mr. Bailey came my way via word of mouth. I am so glad for the referral because I feel I received a great new system and it was installed correctly. I knew the moment I met Mr. Bailey that I could trust him. I almost got ripped off big time by one of the local big chain stores so watch out. For my family it was Bailey to the rescue! Bailey is trustworthy and competent.

They are very fine organization. They are small air conditioning company in Robinson, Texas. I’m the facility manager for my church so they work for me. They are good. They’re honest. They try to give you the cheapest price they can. They’re very conscious of the customer’s need to not to spend a whole lot of money to get this kind of service. I would say that they give the very best price that can be given to the on the kind of appointment that you have to have. The quality of service is the reason they come and work for me with the company.

Bill had told us before Easter that we needed a new system, but could limp us along through Easter (actually, we made it to June), so it was no surprise when the ac was out when we returned from vacation. It was 30 years old. Every phone call and interaction with Bill and his staff was very professional and friendly. They were in and out in about 4 hours, and according to my husband's friend, who works with an HVAC company in Houston, Bill cut us a great deal on our installation, even without the $500 off coupon. Highly recommend.

Bailey AC was great. Bill came out personally and inspected the old unit. We knew it was probably time to replace part of it, so his diagnosis was not a shock. He gave us a lot of options on repairing/replacing in a range of prices. He took the time to explain pros/cons of each. When we decided to replace, he gave us a lot of options of different units with pricing. The unit we selected got in quick and was installed immediately by some employees that were very professional. The price was high, but I don't think it would have been any better elsewhere with what we decided to purchase.

All went well except for the parts suppliers being closed all weekend so couldn't fix the unit until Monday.
Description of Work: Came out about 30 minutes after I called on Saturday morning and gave me the diagnosis. Unfortunately he couldn't fix the problem because all parts suppliers are closed on the weekends. Maybe its just me but it seems like a bad idea for A/C parts suppliers to be closed all weekend in August. Anyway they came back out Monday morning with parts and fixed the A/C unit in less than an hour. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Thanks guys.

The line to our small upstairs A/C unit was cut accidentally. Bill Bailey came out immediately - on a weekend evening - and fixed it for us very quickly. I don't know if he's typically available on weekend evenings, but we were certainly glad that he was this time! We have a service/inspection agreement with Bailey, but this was the first time we'd needed an actual repair. As always, we appreciated his courtesy, professionalism, and easy-to-work-with personality.

I called him on a Monday and he came out that day to look at the unit and give me an estimate. He was able to come the next day and install the unit at the property. Service was fast and courteous.
Description of Work: He replaced the outside unit which had been vandalized and the coils in the attic since we had to convert from R22 to the new type. And put in a new thermostat. He was very friendly and professional. He also disposed of what was left of my old outside unit. His price was several hundred dollars less than another estimate I had. I contacted Bailey Air Conditoning because of the reviews on Angie's List. Mr. Bailey asked how I was referred to him and I told him I found his name on Angie's List. Bill Bailey gave me an estimate of $7000 to replace a 20 year old Lennox 31/2 ton unit with a new 2 stage 16 SEER Goodman Heat Pump on 7/19/12. At the time of estimate he required that I pay him 1/2 in order to purchase the equipment. Mr. Bailey installed the heat pump and air handler on 7/24/12. Mr. Bailey wanted me to use Enviro-Serv to clean the duct work sytem before installation. I paid Enviro-Serv an additional $500. The installation took less than 4 hours. After the air handler was installed he informed me that Enviro-Serv had found mold on the floorboards underneath. He said they applied a fungicide to the wood. The air conditioner performed okay for a few days but soon after installation, I noticed that the air was not circulating and being refreshed as it should be. The house which is only 2000 square ft. was not being maintained at a comfortable temperature. It appeared from the electricity bill that it was using more power than when the AC was not working. I would have to set and maintain the temperature at 70 degrees in order to be comfortable. The lights were dimming when the AC would go off. I called Mr. Bailey on 9/7/12 and he sent a serviceman out 9/10/12. The service person spent relatively little time checking the unit. He could only find that it was low on freon. He stated he added freon but found everything else fine. I asked to have Mr. Bailey call me. I had looked again on Angie's List for his phone number. I was surprised to find that Mr. Bailey offered a $500 discount to Angie's List subcribers for installation of a 16 SEER unit. I asked Mr. Bailey why I was not given the discount. He said I would have to print out and present the coupon to him "like at Walmart." I personally haven't purchased any 4 ton AC units at Walmart. Interestingly, he never denied that I had identified myself as an Angie's List subcriber, just that I didn't present the coupon. It comes as no surprise to me that since our conversation on Monday, Mr. Bailey has changed his Angie's List coupon to specify "Please present coupon at time of estimate." This was not specifed when I contracted with him in July, 2012. I was very upset with the situation. I am the caretaker my 91 year old mother-in-law who is 100% dependent on others for her care. The house where Mr. Bailey replaced the AC is her house. She has an annuity to take care of her expenses and it is difficult knowing that any proceeds are spent unnecessarily when her custodial care alone is $6000. Unfortunately, Mr. Bailey's refusal to honor the coupon was just the beginning of the story. He gave me the number of the Goodman Amana Distributor in Waco. I found out from the local distributor that the retail price of the equipment he installed was $3700. Of course, Mr. Bailey doesn't pay retail so his actual cost would be considerably less. Even if you use the retail cost of equipment, I would have paid Mr. Bailey approximately $800 per hour for labor, a figure that is clearly totally out of line with customary charges. I obtained the name of another Goodman AC installer who examined the equipment and installation. The first comment made by the technician was that if any of his employees had done such work they would be fired. Mr. Bailey used all of the old wiring and tubing, some of it looks as if it is original to the house and 40 years old. The tubing is cracked in places and taped. He scorched the front of the air handler apparently welding the old tube to the air handler. He connected aluminum wiring to copper wiring without using antioxidative grease which created a fire hazard. The air handler was installed on degraded and mildewed flooring. He left a discarded water bottle in the airhandler closet. The outside compressor's was similarly connected to old wiring. The new company said that their price for the same equipment and installation would be $5500. The owner of the company said generally their product and services are in the mid-range for the Waco area. Not only did Mr. Bailey fail to honor his own coupon, but his charges appear to be $1500 over the average. The new AC technician identified several problems. Intake differential, humidity controls on digital thermostat and low freon in addition to the problems with the installation. They spent 2 hours adjusting the unit to try and get it cool efficiently. He even consulted with technical support for Goodman/Amana. The unit did operate well for about 4-5 hours but the old problems resurfaced later on in the evening. I have been in contact with the Technical Department of Goodman. They are going to try and help me by expediting a consumer complaint and to get a regional factory service representative evaluate the situation. I would just warn other consumers to be careful about who does your installation. Warranties are dependent in most cases on proper installation. Even though Goodman offers a Lifetime warranty on the compressor if the house remains in the names of the original purchaser, it is possible that a bad installation could void the warranty.
Description of Work: Bailey Air Conditioning replaced an old 3 1/2 ton Lennox heat pump and air handler with a new 4 ton Goodman/Amana heat pump. As I explain in more detail below, it appears that Mr. Bailey did not replace any connective wiring or tubing but used what appears to be original tubes and wires. He also repaired an attic duct over the bedroom.
