He provided detail graphic drawings for each window with dimensions, which was excellent; worked with me to select the a matching paint to the room trims, kept us informed about delivery and installed the whole house in less than a day. This is the BEST you could hire for quality wood shutters!!

Jim Hofer was amazing to work with. We installed 30+ shutters throughout our house. After multiple quotes received we chose Jim based on the quality of his shutters, price and reputation. He was very honest and upfront about real wood, poly wood shutters and his install date. Never did we feel pressured like some other salesmen. Jim is very professional, promt, and does a great job with installation. I am so glad I chose his comany. He installed shutters on about 12 windows. The blinds are absolutely beautiful and gave my 80’s home a much needed face lift.

Jim was amazing. Not only was he knowledgeable but efficient, exact and friendly. Initially I had him come out and install shutters on the downstairs windows but the quality and the look was so beautiful that 6months later I had him come and do the rest of the house! I had 4" wood shutters installed on 28 windows over 3 visits to my house.

They were very prompt and professional. They were very pleasant and I trust them completely. Their work was precise and the price was reasonable, given the excellence of the product and service. I did contact three other companies that do similar work and the reason I chose Hofer over the other three was because they were the most professional. In one case, one company was extremely rude and unprofessional. Another company, they didn't even have a website, so I wasn't able to see any of their accomplished work. A third company was pleasant, but they were always busy and went on vacation and requested I call them on the dates they come back. They eventually lost my phone number and never called, so I didn't pursue. My 4th contact was Hofer and I could sense they were the best and I now can tell! I have beautiful, professional installed shutters. They didn't leave a mess. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. They gave me a great discount because I was willing to pay cash by a certain date. They gave me an estimate by which the work would be done, and they were exactly correct. Jim told me he would be installing sometime during the last week of August and they were right on the money and one day early. They were willing to remove my old blinds which saved me some money and hassle.

We are extremely happy with having plantation shutters throughout the house! Jim and Jason are expert wood craftsmen. They make all their own shutter blades and frames and they are the best in the market. Our builder installed shutters have plastic pins for the hinge on both ends. These will eventually become brittle in the heat of Texas summers and then they'll break. We'll be calling Hofer Wood Interiors again for the replacement shutters. Jim can show you the differences in various types of plantation shutters and the pros and cons of each. I would also highly recommend you ask Jim for his opinion of your situation and then go with what he advises. He is the expert! When he and Jason arrive and start work, it's fun to watch how meticulous they are to mount the shutters correctly so there are no problems with opening and closing. They are aligned exactly right - no gaps or sagging. Their cleanup after work is exceptional. There is no question about who is the best in the business!

Installation has been delayed due to the holidays. We are scheduled for installation on the 19th of January. I will update this review once the work is complete. UPDATE: Shutters were installed efficiently and look AMAZING! I could not have received a better quality product and service. I am very pleased!!

Jim was very responsive and gave me a decent deal, I had a certain budget although it didn't happen within my budget but a little over but I know he gave me a decent deal . The shutters are great and I love it.... One of the best decisions we made for our home. Jim and Jason (son) are great team and I can see Jason was a direct reflection of his dad (Jim)...he exhibited the same value that his Dad does with honesty, professionalism and clean work. Thank you Jim and Jason. Trustworthy and honest guys with great professional results. More details - I was going to close on my new house on 7/24 and did not want to move in without have any window treatment - the builder worked with me to have the door open for Jim and Jason to work...by the time we closed and came back Jim was done. He really understands his customers. He does plan to come back after a month to adjust blinds and hinges and ensure everything is right. But a great experience with Jim and Jason. I would highly recommend Jim to anyone who wants any kind of shutters and blinds or window coverings in general

I would definitely recommend Hofer Wood Interior. Called one evening to request a quote for shutters and the call was answered by Jim. He had been referred to us by a family friend. He was able to come the following morning to my home to perform the measurements for the quote. Jim was prompt, courteous, and efficient. We were very impressed with the entire process including an email of drawings of what the shutters would look like. We had requested the middle stile be higher than usual, and he was able to accommodate our request with no problem. He was excellent at answering my many questions. We will definitely hire him again if we add shutters to the back portion of our house. The shutters look great and are of very high quality. Loved that they were painted to match our existing trim and/or walls. We had Jim back to our house once after installation to adjust the ease of opening one of the shutters and apply touch up paint, and it was fixed in no time. This is a great company. Not only are the shutters the nicest and the best quality that we've ever had, but Jim is also a pleasure to work with. The entire process was very quick and efficient and we're extremely pleased with the final product. We had shutters installed throughout both floors of our home with roman shades done in the family room area. They were installed quickly and ahead of schedule. They were also painted to match the mouldings/trim in our home. Everything looks great. The price was also much better than the other quote that we received. If you are looking for window treatments you should definitely use them! They are fabulous!

Jim installed shutters throughout our home back in 2011. We were extremely pleased with him and the installation at the time, and continue to get compliments on our beautiful shutters by visitors who come into our home. These shutters came with a 100% replacement warranty should they accidently get broken. It never occurred to us that we would ever have to use the warranty, but we did! Recently, one of the shutters was broken beyond repair when my husband fell off a step-ladder and caught himself on the shutter and literally destroyed it. I called Jim to explain the situation, sent a couple pictures of the broken shutter to him, and he began the process of getting a new one made for us. Jim installed the new shutter for us this week. It fits and looks great. We are very happy. The warranty works, folks! Thank you, Jim!! You stand behind your products and you certainly care about your clients.
