We have 22+ years in the remodeling and new construction business we are a small company in where we also provide detail proposal estimate of materials and labor cost.
We initially hired them only to remodel the bathrooms, move the water heater and refinish the kitchen cabinets. The whole job presented some problems, as any remodel will. Our house was built in 1958 on a slab. We had water damage issues in both bathrooms, including mold. Both bathrooms were gutted completely. In the master bath room, the tub was replaced with a large walk-in shower. This required a portion of the floor to be jack hammered out to reroute the drain, and also required the rerouting of the water lines. The bedroom closet that backed up to the bathroom was closed off in the bedroom and the closet walls removed to enable us to use that space in the bathroom. That gave us almost twice as much walking space, and allowed us to have a 60and quot; vanity and a linen cabinet. In the second bathroom, the standard tub was replaced with a deep tub. This required the reconfiguration of the water supply lines and the shower head, as well as some retrofitting of the surround and bathroom door. Carlos and his crew met this challenge with their usual enthusiasm. The water heater had been installed in the laundry room, which caused it to be very warm in that area. It was relocated to a space outside that backed up to the laundry room. This required the rerouting of water lines, the gas line, and the venting system. The kitchen cabinets were an eyesore when we bought the house. The doors hung crookedly and the drawer slides were worn out. They reworked the cabinet doors, retrofitted the cabinets with trim to improve the appearance, replaced the drawer slides and all the hardware. In addition, we added pull-out inserts in the lower cabinets. If you don't have these, you should definitely look into getting them. My cabinets have never been so organized and the contents so easy to access. We also asked them to put a lazy Susan insert into the existing pantry. Now we can readily see the contents of the entire pantry without having to remove one item to find another. Then the job evolved into a much bigger endeavor. First we added the removal of a weight bearing wall to the mix. They attacked that job with fervor, taking care not to damage the existing floor, and using great care to protect the integrity of the structure of the house. Then we decided to remove bedroom carpeting and go back in with laminate. The laminate we used in the living areas was discontinued, but Carlos managed to find flooring that matched. Not only did they remove the carpeting, but they also graciously removed the furniture from each room with care, and replaced it when the room was complete. When we decided to ask them to paint, they were very helpful in walking us through the color selection process. We wound up with a classic, flattering color scheme. Carlos and his crews were professional and polite, responded to our concerns and requests promptly and courteously. They arrived on time each day, and stayed until a good stopping point was reached. On the rare occasion when they ran into a problem at the end of the workday, they stayed until it was resolved and we could spend our evening in peace. The house was cleared of debris, swept and mopped at the end of every day. They respected our privacy and our property. When the job was completed, all construction debris was loaded up and hauled away. We were left with a clean, updated home that looks like it was built yesterday, but without the punch list of a new home purchase. We own properties in two other Texas cities, and we have asked Carlos to bid remodel jobs on them, too. I give Carlos' company a two thumbs up, five star rating. Would definitely recommend them with confidence.

Carlos and his team did an amazing job, installing an island vent hood, matching existing cabinets to make a custom island. That turned out so perfectly I had him do crown mouldings, base boards and sheet rock repair. They always showed up on time and completed the job way beyond my expectations.
Description of Work: Custom cabinets, vent hood and stove installation, crown moldings & base boards.
