Excellent. Arrived promptly and fixed our problem quickly. Very professional! Definitely use them again!

The technician came out in 30 minutes and resolved our problem. Explained everything and unit works great.

The air conditioner coil developed a leak and because it was an older unit, the AC used an older cooling agent. The choices were to replace the coil, to keep uning the older and more expensive coolant, and to rely on the remaining parts to provide years of good service or to replace the AC unit. David patiently helped me through the decision process. For a little more than twice the cost of replacing the coil alone, David found an AC and Furnace to replace teh complete heating/cooling system. The Air Express installation crew was prompt, cheerful, and courteous. The used tarps to protect the floors and cpmpletely and tidily cleaned up after completing the job. The Air Express office staff registered the air conditioner, coil, and furnace with the manufacturer for the warranty and mailed the warranty paperwork to me. David personally checked the installation work to may satisfaction.

Had to make second trip, but did so with no extra charges

Woke up this morning to no heat. Looked on Angies List and decided to call Air Express based on their reviews. Spoke w/customer service rep and she was pleasant, courteous and asked the proper general questions. She dispatched a service technician immediately. Sam (the technician) arrived within an hour of the call being placed. Now here's what is important about this company and speaks to their integrity: My husband is an engineer and was aware of what the problem was beforehand. He decided to call for service as he hadn't worked on the unit before and wanted to make sure he was correct in his thinking. He didn't let Sam know that he was knowledgable about Heating Units in general and wanted to find out what Sam had to say. Sam diagnosed the problem properly and wasn't just a "parts changer". He properly tested the unit to ensure functionality and charged us only for the service call as no parts were needed. He provided good sound advice, gave realistic evaluation of the life left on our unit and offered insight on newer models and their capabilities. Sam could've charged us for unneccessary parts and changed out components. Of course this would have been dishonest but we all know this happens and can never be sure if it was actually necessary or not. We will definitely do business with Air Express again in the future as their technicians appear to have knowledge along with integrity. That combination is hard to find. Thanks for a great job!!!!

My ac unit fan stopped around 5 am this morning. I woke up to the noise of the outside unit. Upon walking up to the unit I noticed that there was frost on the lines. I went back inside and went up to the attic and saw that there was frost on the thicker line as well. I researched for over 2 hours and figured I out that I wasn't smart enough to tinker with the mess at all and decided to join Angie's List and seek professional help. I called a couple companies and 3 called back. One guy said that it would be extra because it is Sunday and another guy was heading out of town. Air Express' owner David, called me and said that he could over around 1:30. He called me a second time to let me know he was a couple of minutes away. Once he arrived he immediately began to test the unit and figured out that the capacitor was out. He didn't have one in his van, so he went back to his shop and got the part. He replaced it and even fixed the cover so that it was flushed. Total cost $196.00. I am completely satisfied.

Great! Yesterday, (10/11/2012) our a/c blower mysteriously quit working. Air Express did not have a serviceman available during the day; so, the technician came again at 7pm and diagnosed the problem, free of charge; no emergency ("after hours") fee was charged. That is standing behind their plan!

Arrived on time and replaced the capacitor and a connector. This solved the problem. We discussed replacing the entire system sometime in the future as my units are 10 years old.

First, my A/C unit is a 4-ton Goodman about 6-years old. It runs quietly and had been operating fine until this last year when I noticed the house would not cool below 82-83F on very hot afternoons. I think this occured after a technician from another company, during a routine check-up, told me I had too much pressure in the freon line and removed some. He also installed an in-line filter outside the unit saying I didn't have one. Not only did this not solve the problem, but I noticed a filter was installed on the inside of the unit, so now I had two filters on the same line. I called another company, and over the phone, they indicated the compressor was probably bad for reasons I would not want to say here. Anyway, I called another company and the guy came out and put freon back in and the unit worked and cooled the house properly for about three months. At this point, I started to experience a new problem with the circuit breaker tripping two or three times a day on really hot days. I noticed the circuit panel was warm next to the breaker, so I decided to replace the dual circuit breaker myself. Indeed one side had cracked, the plastic had blistered, and had dark burn marks. The A/C unit worked fine four about 4-days and I thought problems solved. But on Friday Evening (8/21/2012), I noticed the house was getting hotter inside. I checked the return air vents with a laser thermometer, and they were indeed blowing warm air. I went outside and noticed the fan was on and blowing cold air (should be warm air). I also noticed the large freon line was not cold like it should be and said this is not good. We spent the rest of the evening in a very uncomfortable house. Early in the AM, I said I've had enough and joined Angie's List. I searched the HVAC list and found Air Express which was located nearby. I called at 6:50AM on Saturday morning and actually talked with a real person (not an answering service or machine). She said a technician would call me back and he did. He arrived early, diagnosed and solved the problem quickly. He even told me the readings he got off the compressor and indicated they were well within the operating range. The house has been back to normal since. I also received a courtesy call a few days later to verify the unit was working properly and that I was satisfied with the service. You Bet!

We had a problem with a motor on our Trane air conditioner which was under warranty. Air Express ordered the motor and replaced it. A week later, the unit quit working. We called Air Express on a week-end and they came to our home to check the unit. The technician said a particular part should have been changed out with the motor. They admitted their mistake (which is honorable), replaced the part and had the unit working in a very short time. They are honest and provide excellent service. They back up their work. We highly recommend Air Express!

The company responded quickly to my early morning email. The technician called to coordinate the time and arrived on time. The technician checked out the air conditioner and provide me his assessment, answered my questions, provided repair options and recommendations, and completed the repair. I am a very satisfied and happy customer.

We love this company. We called at 8:00 this morning and they called right back. He called within five minutes and came out within a half hour. He called to be sure it was ok to come early. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and punctual. It only took about ten minutes to determine the problem and he had it repaired within a half hour. The work came with a one year warranty for parts and labor. David is the man who came out. We could not be more pleased with this company and definitely will call them in the future.

These guys are the best for being on time and getting you done. i called them the morning my a/c broke, the service came out 1 hour later, explained to me exactly what he was doing and exactly what i was looking at. i found out i needed a whole new unit, and they said they would try to squeeze me in as soon as possible. they showed up 3 hours later and installed a whole new unit. it only took like a hour and a half, and that night my a/c worked great.

A/C unit stopped cooling. Called for service and technitian arrived within hours. A/C was repaired and functioning normal in less than 8 hours.

AC stopped working on a Sunday afternoon. I went straight to Angie's List to find AC repair. Picked this company because one review said had come out on a Sunday. They were booked solid. Guy came out next day as planned and arrived on time. We purchased a temporary fix to the problem. We became nervous when they didn't call us within what we felt was a reasonable amount of time to tell us if they were able to order the part and to schedule an appointment to repair the AC. We were probably over anxious as we did not know how long temp fix would last, and we had folks arriving in a few days. Other than that, the experience was very good and our AC was fixed in plenty of time for our guests. I don't have anything to say about price, because we did not shop around. All I know is our AC is working better than ever and I would recommend this service. Thank you Air Express AC & Heating!

Called first. When he got here I was not at home but my mother was. I talked to him on the phone and he told me every thing he had done. Everything has been working great since then.

The company is true to fast 24 hour emergency repair. The showed up within an hour. Eddie was very nice and professional. He identified the problem quickly and fixed it. We are very happy with the services and emergency time. We will definately refer and use them again! Thanks to Angie's List we found someone we can trust.

They were very professional and punctual. They are not real cheap. They do very good work. I have been using them for four years and they have done complete installs of three big units over that period.

We are veryy pleased with the service they provided.

Air went out late in a Sunday PM. I knew I'd probably be without air until Monday but David showed up within about an hour-and-a-half. A/C was fixed within 20 minutes after he got here!

AC unit on middle floor was was not cooling sucfficiently. The owner, David Swoboda, came himself and took care of me promptly and efficiently. He showed up right on time, and took care of the problem and was gone in 30 min. or less. The price he charged me was more than reasonable, especially for a weekend call. This is the second time I have used them, and I am most impressed. Excellent service. Thanks Angie's List and Air Express.

Update: In response to this company's rebuttal to my orginial review: 1). "We replaced the motor and run capacitor for $437" - WRONG. The check that cleared with my bank proves that I did not pay $437 for the services provided, but that I paid $496 (thanks to a $25 Angie's List discount). So while not exactly $500, close enough! 2). "We were called out a month later on a problem that was not related to the outside unit. " WRONG. This statement implies that I called about an issue that had nothing to do with the outside unit. When I called I asked that they come out and check my OUTSIDE UNIT because I was having the same problem that I had when I called them out a month earlier. 3). The unit was restarted and working..." DEAD WRONG. The unit was NOT restarted after their tech suggested that the problem was not with the outside unit. My A/C unit was only restarted when the guy my friend referred came out and fixed the OUTSIDE UNIT. 4). "We did not charge anything when we went out on a Sunday night." - Wow! Should I collapse to my knees and thank you for this? ******* (Original Post) My AC had stopped blowing cold air. Once the technician came out and inspected the unit, he informed me that the culprit was either the condenser (or whatever that small part is called) or the fan motor. I was expecting him to say fan motor (even if it wasn't) simply because it would be the more expensive of the two repairs. Sure enough, he said "fan motor" and charged me $500 to fix it. I was extremely reluctant to pay that fee but did so anyway because I couldn't have my 2 year old and elderly mother spending an entire weekend in the heat (not knowing if I'd be able to get someone to come out the next day since HVAC repair techs are usually booked on weekends), so I paid it even though it set my finances back big time. Exactly ONE MONTH TO THE DAY LATER, my AC stopped blowing again! Air Express sent out another rep who this time tells me its some kind of defective switchboard in my attic that's somehow connected to the AC. This time he wanted to charge me $531. I don't think so...After I ushered him out of my house, I called around to some friends for a referral (kicking myself for not doing that the 1st time). The tech she recommended came out, found that the problem was indeed the condenser (or whatever that small part is) and charged me $150 to fix it. He also checked that switchboard in the attic and said that it was not defective. My air has been blowing fine ever since. Their technician ripped me off by replacing something that wasn't defective in the first place. And then sending out another tech who incorrectly diagnosed a problem simply to get another $500 out of me? UNACCEPTABLE!

Went extremely well. David, arrived around 8:30 AM on Saturday within only 2 hours after placing call. He repaired the defective part, provided maintenance advise, and answered all of our questions. He was knowledgeable, and professional.

Came to the house within 30 minutes of request for a service call. (The service rep who responded was already in our area.) Diagnosed and repaired A/C problem. Replaced defective wiring in condenser, and the unit was back in service within 30 minutes. Overall, the best service we have ever had on any home repair
