While i was bracing myself for a major repair or replacement, I was pleasantly surprised that the problem was simply a blown capacitor.Mr. McGregory had the part in his truck and had the unit blowing cold again in no time. He also checked the coolant level to be sure and reported that it was fine. Happy ending!

Excellent. We placed the call on Friday night at 8:30pm. The serviceman came on Saturday a.m. He was on his way to go fishing in Galveston but called into the office first-- On Saturdays they must always check for any emergency calls before beginning their day. 6+ year-old part was under warranty (meaning, reliable parts/warranty/manufacturer-- they installed two systems in my home 6 years ago). The owner, Tim, called me later the same day to see how everything came out. They are not cheap ($120 for service call). Instead, they are completely honest. Neal (Lori's husband).

The came out - told me the fan belt was shot - then the fan motor was shot. They quoted me $1800 to replace the fan motor and belt. I paid them for the trip and go my motor back - I order a motor and capacitor for $300 and did it myself in about 15 minutes. I don't mind paying for good service at a fair price - these guys are crooks! The entire unit didn't cost much more than $1800.

The air conditioner was not turning on when it should, due to a faulty thermostat, which was replaced by a new, top of the line, digital thermostat. As always, Air Design arrived shortly after we called and got right to work. It was a half hour job and it was done. They are very professional and did a fast repair job, which minimized labor costs.
