Guinco Service

Sent a message to Guinco Service through Angie's List on Sunday that I had a washing machine that would not drain or spin. Noted that I had a washer tub full of water and would like to get the problem addressed as soon as reasonably possible. Received response through Angie's List and by phone early Monday. Was told that they had no service call openings on Monday, but would guarantee me a service call on Tuesday and would notify me of the time range later in the day. Guinco called with a Tuesday service call time range of 10 am-1 pm. I told them that I needed to be somewhere at 1:15 pm and they said that they would pass that on to the technician as well as ask the technician to call me when he was on his way. I was skeptical about a timely service call because of experiences with other service providers, but my skepticism was unfounded. David (the technician) called on Tuesday at 9:30 am and said that he was on his way. He arrived at my house before 10:00 am. and went to work immediately. David listened closely to my description of the issue and very quickly confirmed my suspicions about the problem. He had the part he needed to fix the washing machine at least in part because of a system Guinco has of starting to diagnose the problem with the information that the consumer provides them initially. David was very knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and personal and did an excellent job in completing the repair. The price for the work seemed to be on the high side, but the work was excellent and I suspect that the price was comparable to what other companies would charge for similar service.

When I spoke with the phone representative he was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they would not allow me to book an appointment without having a credit card placed on file. I have never been required to place a credit card on file to book an appointment for anything. I told them I would be happy to pay for the service call once the technician arrived at my house, but they said that it was their company policy to require a credit card on file. I even spoke with a supervisor and the supervisor asked their manager, but they would not make an exception. Although this company gets excellent reviews I am not comfortable giving someone I have never done business with my credit card before I can even schedule an appointment.

Angel came out on Friday afternoon stayed and waited for another company man to bring him a part, all this after squeezing me into his schedule, this did not fix the problem, however Angel promised to come first thing on Saturday and bring another part to finish the job, he took time from his young family to do this thank you to him and them. He kept his promises let me know his arrival time and finished the job. We were very satisfied and happy to meet him and know about this company they go above and beyond. Highly recommend this company they are on top of their game!

easy to schedule, repairman on time, very polite, had part with him, repair was done quickly, tidy, and dryer ready to use.

I called Guinco on a Friday and they came out on Tuesday to diagnose the problem. The technician quickly found that it was a motor which would need replacement. He advised me that if I decided to proceed with the repair the diagnosis fee would be deducted from the final cost. I looked at some new washers but decided to fix my old one. The repair was completed three days later on Friday, as soon as the part arrived, and my washer is working perfectly again.

Short Version: Guinco has come out multiple times (5 weeks now), still not fixed, more issues caused by their fixes, still waiting....use someone else per my recommendation. "Tired of Lousy Service?" Angie's List isn't perfect, but so far the reviewers haven't let me down. Until Guinco... I must live in some alternate universe because this family owned company has easily won my award for worst service, for as long as I can remember, yet hundreds of people have rated them A+. Ok so this has been a nightmare...I read such great reviews of this place, so I didn't hesitate to contact them when my 8month old whirpool washer started acting up. The problem was fairly simple, washer would leak soap when off. Soap would just slowly leak onto the floor. They came out, inspected washer, ordered part (1 week) for it to be delivered. Tech guy comes out, to work on it and suddenly it dawns on him my washer and dryer are stacked...he doesn't have another technician at the moment to help him unstack. (Of course I've taken off all day for my washer to be repaired so thats not an issue at all.) Comes back in another few hours and fixes said drip..YAY!! I should have made him run the washer then, I now regret that decision. An hour later I start a load of laundry and hear a loud clicking sound. Then an Error E02 F08 pop up...washer won't work, completely dead. Call Guinco.... they say this error is in reference to dispenser motor, and will have to order part. Part will take about a week. Week later tech guy comes out, and asks "What seems to be the problem?" I'm slightly stunned thinking this guy has the notes of why he is here right? Oh...no one ordered motor part." Have to wait another week for part to come in. (Again have all the time in the world, no need for me to work). Week later, he has part fixes washer, runs washer. Everything seems to be in working order. He leaves, my happiness returns. 30min into my load of laundry the clicking returns very loud followed by same E02 F08 error. Call Guinco, they take my information. Call rep needs to speak to Service Manager (JD). I ask to speak to manager (didn't happen). Tech guy calls and says he can swing back by. Shows up, Calls whirpool...now it's my CUU board or something like that. Only factory stocked, so guess what...have to wait another week. (Not to mention the top/face of my washer is all scratched now from the unstacking and restacking of my washer/dryer. ) So here I sit...This is cr@p...utter and ridiculous cr@p. If my family business were run like this, I'd have a few words over the dinner table at night time that is for sure. I've been 5 weeks or so, maybe more without my washer. Issues seem to arise from them "fixing" something else. Now my Dryer that has repeatedly be unstacked etc isn't working. When calling Guinco (Spoke to Lori), basically there is no expediting anything. I'm just another customer, even though I have been 5 weeks without my washer. I call whirpool and complain BUT I can't use anyone else per them until Guinco has completed its repairs. Please I implore you to take into consideration calling someone else. If by chance a manager reads this, please, please give me a call. It shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out who I am according to my records. I'd love to have a friendly chat with you. Travis

The service repair gentleman showed up on time, and was very professional. He quickly identified the problem (easy one that I missed), and was out the door in less than 25 minutes.

I have been very impressed with Guinco. I received an email reminder the day before the service call. I then received an automated call when Angel left the service call before ours and was on his way to our house. When Angel arrived, I noticed how neatly he was dressed and how well-mannered he was. I was very disappointed that the oven was not able to be repaired and will have to buy a new one.

Rafeal showed up promptly at scheduled time. Was very courteous and professional. He repaired my fridge without further cost than the initial visit cost. Used the coupon and was able to get it done for less than $100.00.

Rafael Martinez arrived promptly at 7:20 am for my 7:30 appointment. He was very professional. He assessed my range & discovered that my gas was not working but the range was fine. He then provided me with knowledge on preventive maintenance for my range since this is my first experience with a gas appliance. he didn't recommend any unneeded repairs, etc. I called Atmos while he was here & my gas was indeed off because they had replaced my meter earlier this month & had neglected to inform me of this. When they change the meters, they turn off the gas. Since I don't use the range often, I didn't realize it for several weeks. I will definitely use them again for my appliance needs!

I called guinco services and got an appointment set up quickly. I was informed of the $100.00 service charge up front and told I would receive an email the day before the appointment letting me know the time frame. I got the email with my 3 hour window and I also received an automated message that let me know that the technician had finished his previous job and was on his way, which was a great feature. Tim, the technician, arrived well within the time frame and came in and got to work. He was able to get me a quote right then and get the oven timer replaced and set up in short order. Everything went very well and I will certainly call guinco again in the future.

He arrived promptly at his scheduled time. Spent a few minutes assessing the issue then thouroghly explained how he would fix, what it would cost and about how long it will take. He completed the job within the given time frame (1 hr). He created an invoice on his computer then I paid via credit card. Quick and efficient. The only negative was that he left some water under the sink as opposed to asking for a towel or at least letting me know it was there and did not replace the objects in the cabinet that he had removed. But if i needed appliance repair in the future, I would still call them.

Everything went great! We've used them before with appliance issues in the past as well and they are always punctual, knowledgeable, and courteous.

Technician did a great job, however the invoice only provided a total for the job performed without breaking down the costs for parts and labor. Labor was almost $250 for a 40 minute job. That seems exorbitant to me! He also failed to take off my Angie's list discount after telling me he had taken the discount off the job total. That made me distrust the whole invoice. Had it not been for that aspect, I would have given the company a glowing review!

Quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem and priced the repair. Gave me all the options and considerations for a repair versus buy-new decision.

Repairman was great. Price was way high.

He gave an estimate and figured out required parts on Monday the 7th. He determined the parts required were available locally and ordered them after explaining the estimate and cost of parts. He had the office set up an appointment for wednesday for the repairs to my washer and dryer. He showed up during the time set up 12 to 3. He worked quickly replacing the drive belt and gasket for the washer and the gasket and shims for the dryer. He cleaned the lint out of the dryer and reassembled. Before he was done he cleaned up the area of broken parts, dust and dirt and took all the trash with him. He left it cleaner than it was before working. He offered valuable information about detergent and cleaning the washer. He said the dryer was clean. He said that he would bring the washer cleaner on thursday because he did not have any on his truck. He returned Thursday morning with the tablets and explained to me how to use them.

The scheduling department was very pleasant and made every effort to get someone out as soon as possible. I was fortunate that there happened to be a repair person nearby and he was able to work me in same day. It turned out to be a very simple repair - the water filter had separated from it's casing and was leaking water. I had replacement filters so he changed it out for me. The repair person was very tidy and professional. Very good experience. Will definitely call them again.

Outstanding. The service tech was always very professional. He had a very difficult diagnosis period. The tech actually made a mistake on one of his visits and was open an honest about it. They did not try to hide it and charge more. This integrity means a lot. Thank you to them!

Arrived right on time; checked the machine, found that the cost of repair nearly the cost of a new similar model. Recommended several affordable models that had not had many service calls for repairs; warned of those that have had service issues. Very professional. Thank you, Alvin.

Called for service after installing the Whirpool Duet upright wash machine that had been in storage for two years. Angel found the shipping bolts still installed and also sold a bag of affresh. Service was excellent.

It went very well. Dustin was very profesional. He explain everything on the day he came to check the refrigerator. Ordered the pieces we needed and followed up with us as soon as he received the parts. Overall, we are very satisfied with the service from the beginning to the end. We will definitely will call Guinco again!

I won't buy Kitchen Aide again,but I would use them.

Guinco has a great on-line appointment set up. They sent a reminder by email the day before our appointment. The repairman arrived right on time. He put on shoe covers before entering our home and introduced himself. Our dishwasher runs and cleans well after being repaired by Guinco.

The office lady (Lori?) was extremely helpful. I had some scheduling constraints and she was responsive and polite with rescheduling and getting in touch with the technician with my needs. Joe showed up and was very professional and took care of my dishwasher. I could not have asked for better service. Thank you.
