Description of Work: refrigerator repair. not cooling. 2 other company's estimated 500.00 for the repair, plus service call charges. the tech was whirlpool trained, and said it may have just turned itself off during a storm in the area. I sent him a picture of my control board, he told me how to turn the fridge back on. FREE!!!!

Description of Work: Replaced the ice maker. It took about 15 minutes. Cost of the ice maker was around $40. Labor and tax were the remainder for total of over $270. Labor cost seems a bit pricey.

Description of Work: The service from these folks was great. They were extremely efficient in scheduling and showing up. Then, when it turned out that a pistachio nut was in the wrong place and making my dishwasher not work, the guy didn't charge me. In addition, he was just a great guy, knowledgable and friendly.

+ -1 moreCalled on Friday to schedule appointment. Tech called us early Monday morning to let us know when to expect him. He arrived on time, worked quickly to determine the cause of the problem, fixed it, answered a question we had pertaining to an unrelated problem that we had dealt with ourselves. Angie's List coupon was accepted when we scheduled the appointment. Very nice to work with and will do so again.
Description of Work: The water dispenser in our GE refrigerator stopped working. Service Tech checked several possible causes, determined line was frozen and gave us information on how to fix it if it occurs again.

I am not satisfied with the ineptitude in finding the problem and then waiting for the part, etc. But should I have a problem in the future with this A/C, I will not hesitate to call them. They did come when they said. The service personnel/Joe & Ron were professional. The office personnel/Debbie was professional. The first service man/Donald was not.
Description of Work: My 220 v Whirlpool A/C was purchased at Lowes back in 8/2004.. They gave a 5 yr extended warranty. When the A/C went out on 8/25/06, Fri, I called Lowes. They called Whirlpool. Whirlpool advised me they'd have someone call me Mon AM. GuinCo was the service provider. They came out 8/28, checked it, said nothing was wrong. I told them it was the fan motor. On 9/2, it quit completely. On 9/5 they came again and said it was the fan motor. ??? Ordered part. On 9/14 they came and replaced that fan motor.

+ -1 moreThis used to be a first-class company, and the responsiveness to the service calls is good. The problem this time is price gouging by the technician/company and broken promises and misrepresentation by Jeff Guinn.
Description of Work: Technician pulled off front of dryer, so I could clean out the lint and lifted top of washer to see if there was anything in washer to clean. Tech said he would give me an estimate, but presented the estimate after the work. Fooled me with the explanation of the charge. Owner, Jeff Guinn, did not followup when we spoke concerning the overreaching by the technician.

Description of Work: Friday, my Maytag washer was making terrible loud noises. The technician came out and didn't have the right pump on his truck so he had to come back on Monday. He said I could still do laundry until he could get back with the right pump. Monday morning, he fixed the washer in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself.

+ -1 moreI was able to schedule an appointment quickly, the technician arrived called to give me an update as to when he would arrive and then arrived a few minutes early. He was courteous and checked out the entire mechanical system of the refrigerator and then cleaned the coils. The Angie's list coupon was accepted without a question.
Description of Work: Subzero refrigerator was not properly cooling. The technician diagnosed the problem and cleaned the coils on my Subzero refrigerator.
