Guinco Service

They were all right. I wasn?t pleased with the fact that they do not have enough technicians. The first time they worked on the appliance it did not work and it took 3 days for them to schedule somebody else to work on it. It still didn?t work properly. I had to wait for another 4 days to get another person. They could not give quick service, but otherwise they were fine.

went well. Guinco's service repair man was able to diagnose the trouble and get it corrected. A previous repair person from a different company wasn't able to correct the problem and told me to call someone else.

They were very professional. They came in promptly every time. They were considerate and didn't charge us for their service calls a couple of times, but only charged for the parts. I will continue to use them in the future.

They told me I needed to vacuum the coils. It was very distastful to have to pay for that information.

Overall it was okay. I wish that they would have been able to provide an estimate over the phone since he seemed like he really did not need to look at the machine.

We had a leak that we discovered was from our refrigerator. Because of the leak, we had damage to carpets and hardwood flooring in areas adjacent to the refrigerator. The insurance people would, understandably, not be able to do anything until the leak was fixed. It was 4:00 in the afternoon on a Monday when we found this out, and because of time constraints we really needed to get the insurance process rolling. I called Sears (it was a Kenmore appliance) and they could not come out for two days. I suddenly realized: Check Angie's List! Guinco was highly rated, so I called. They did not have an opening until Wednesday. I explained the situation, and the dispatcher said she would call me back. She said that the technician who handled our area had agreed to squeeze us in. The technician's name is Michael Mark, and he arrived and set to work. He showed me the problem he had found and educated me about prevention. Unfortunately, we discovered when the water mitigation people came the next day that the fridge was still leaking. I called, and once again the dispatcher contacted Michael and he agreed to squeeze me in to an already overbooked day. He came at 7:30 at night, and still had calls to make, but worked to fix the new problem he had discovered. It seems to have solved the problem. I am just so impressed with Mike's attitude and professionalism. He deserves a raise! He was friendly and reassuring and helped me understand what was happening. Most of all, he realized that we had a real problem that required prompt service, and he was willing to go the extra mile. He was careful in moving the appliance. He was just all around a great technician and seemed to know his stuff. Even though the first repair didn't solve the problem, it was clear that it was a needed repair. We just happened to have two problems.

I called to report the problems, told them I work full-time and that I am a senior. They were very friendly. They come out early (between 7:30 and 8:00!!!) for people who work, and I got a 10% senior discount. They told me what the service call would cost for each appliance and that it would be added to repairs if there were any. There weren't--except to change a light behind some goofy wall in my oven. But I had questions about both appliances because I had bought my home with them already there, they were obviously the cheapest possible junk, and there were no operating manuals. The young man who came out answered all of my quesitons and did not--remarkably--treat me as though I was a looney.

we had a well known problem with the doors to our kitchenaid oven (10 yrs old). the oven lights stayed on because the oven doors did not close completely. another repairman had been out several times, did work, but didnt fix the problem. i looked up kitchenaid-approved repair technitians, and cross-referenced with angies' list. guinn's was highly rated by angie and on the approved kitchenaid lsit as well. their work was superb, problem fixed within the estimate, and no problems since.!!

My Whirlpool Cabrio washer was giving me an F-1 error message. I called Guinco after selecting this company from Angie's List. They gave me an appointment within two days after I called, and the technician was there a little late, but was extremely polite and efficient. When he became aware that the warranty was only two months out and that the problem was one common to this make and model, he told me that he would contact Whirlpool the next day and ask them to cover the repair. He did exactly that; they agreed to cover all parts and labor, and Dustin returned on Saturday evening with the replacement parts he had ordered. About an hour later he had the machine running. He was concerned that it might not be perfectly OK, since the water level wasn't where he thought it should be, but he asked me to try a load or two and call him later that evening at home on his cell. When I did he thanked me graciously and was very pleased that I reported it doing fine. I was really impressed with his "above and beyond" attitude...how many service techs would ask you to call on Saturday night when they had dinner guests? I feel certain that if the repair hadn't been satisfactory he would have been back early on Monday morning with replacement parts. I will definitely call this company again if I need major appliance repair.

Dan came out 2 days before the install to let me know what to expect. He stated that the first crew would deliver the materials and replace the existing slab on the outside. They also removed the existing unit. They were here by 8:00 AM. The install crew came next. They installed it, put me in a new digital thermostat, and showed me how to use everything. They use their own crews and do not subcontract any outside labor. The guys were exceedingly polite and very professional. Everything was installed as promised. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing supplies or service.

Technicians are clean, courteous, nice and very informative. They confirm their appointments by computer and by phone usually and generally are on time. Their in house warranty is often better than the warranty of the original appliance companies.

They really do a good job. They showed up on time. I called last week, there was a light coming on that I didn't know what it was. They came by to make sure everything was OK, and were here in 15 minutes.

They were punctual, helpful, saved me money, and did a very good job.

I liked that they were an authorized Trane dealer. They are a local company and they know who you are. They are available for weekend emergencies. They give you straight answers. They are a personable group of people.

I was very pleased with the service. He was timely, got the work done quickly and even looked at the fridge door for no extra charge. He was comfortable with the animals in our home (four dogs) which was nice as well.

When they did the repair they also found out that some of the electronics was bad and so they replaced it. I was overall very pleased with their work and it has been working fine since then. The service man was very professional and he seamed to know what he was doing and he found out what the problem was very quickly. They were timely and the cost was reasonable. The quality of the work was good.

Called late Monday afternoon to arrange an appointment and Lisa was apologetic that she could not have a repair man there before Wednesday morning. That sounded good to me. I removed the clothes that we still in the washer and removed as much water as possible. Jeff arrived right on time on Wednesday and determined that the culprit was a switch that is closed when the lid is down. This switch had failed so it would not drain or spin. Jeff quoted a price before he even started replacing the switch and was told to go ahead and repair the machine. When he removed the outer case, it exposed a soap build up that had accumulated over 18 years of use. He was very patient as I cleaned up the build up before he could continue with the repair. After the repair was completed, he noted that a screw that holds the top part of the washer in place had been stripped. Without even asking, he went to his truck and found a replacement screw and secured the top to the sides of the case, and there was no extra charge. This is the fourth time we have used this company for various appliance repairs, and each experience has been completely satisfactory and very reasonable.

He was very polite. He came on time. He gave me an estimate. He cleaned up after himself. I was not sure that he knew what he was talking about, because he told us to do something that the instructions told us not to.

The repair was well done and the technician was professional. The final price was a bit more than originally discussed but not what I would consider an alarming amount (about $50). I'm actually much more concerned about the dryer itself. This Whirlpool is 3 years old (purchased in 2005) and this is the 2nd or 3rd repair we've had done.

They were prompt. They came the day before Thanksgiving and rescued me.

When I called to make the appointment, Betty was very courteous and professional and told me that the technician would be here in two days and would call first to set an approximate time. She also offered to move the appointment up if there was a cancellation. Rebecca called the next day to tell me that the technician would arrive between noon and three o'clock. Dustin Fought came right on schedule and was also very courteous and professional and well dressed. He offered to wear coverings on his shoes if I desired, but I told him that it wasn't necessary as it was a nice sunny day. He pulled out the ice maker to check it and found that the electrical plug was disconnected very easily. But he still ran a thorough visual check and an electrical check and could not find anything wrong with the ice maker itself. He felt that replacing the ice maker was not necessary as the problem was the loose connector. He gave us a 90 day guarantee on the service call as it was an intermittent problem.

Guinco's work was great. Gary Poe did the estimates for the replacement equipment, which I used for comparison with other contractors and followed up with me to answer any questions and ensure that I was pleased with their work.

Rafael arrive a little late because of early morning rush hour traffic. Upon arrival, he promptly found that the magnetron was faulty. He had the part in his truck and so the replacement was done in one visit. He was very polite. Incidentally, we have used Guinco about 1 year ago when one of the burners of the Whirlpool cooktop which was still under warranty would not ignite. As I recall, it was Rafael that came out and made the diagnosis and the part was ordered. Another technician came to install it.

Mr. Ryan Wright arrived early for his 12 pm appointment. They had a cancellation and could do the work right away. Mr. Wright was very polite and professional. The necessary part was on his truck and in less than a hour, the refrigerator was repaired. I had used Guinco before I became a member of Angie's List and Mr. Wright remembered me. He was very professional at that time also.

They were great. I had a dishwasher I had bought at the same time and I had problem with the rinse aid cap. Even though it wasn't on the service order Jeff fixed it anyway.
