Guinco Service

I called these guys after being frustrated with another repair company. Guinco came in and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly and this was after another company had been out twice to fix my refrigerator unsuccessfully and had charged twice as much. The other company said the valves they replaced were the problem but replacement still did not fix my icemaker. It tuned out to be a crimped tube inside the refrigerator that had also been knocked out of place during my move.

They did a good job and came out when they were supposed to. They got it fixed quickly.

Our initial call to Guinco was only yesterday. The woman who answered the call was extremely helpful, professional and friendly. She set up the maintenance visit this morning. The technician arrived in the middle of the two hour window promised and was professional and friendly. He presented us with a business card immediately, explained the service he would perform and got quickly to work. We couldn't have been more pleased.

On the first visit, the diagnosis was made and the part (control board panel) had to be ordered. The same technician, Allen, returned a week later to install the part, but the oven still did not work. It was attributed to a faulty control board and another one was ordered. Allen came out the 3rd time and installed the control board, but then diagnosed that the transformer needed to be replaced too. He returned at the end of the same day, and installed the transformer. Allen is always very punctual, polite and professional.

This company has a great email appointment reminder and the ability to confirm the appointment. They email you on the day of service to let you know where you are on the schedule, and approx. time your technician will arrive--very accurate both times. The technician was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and had the oven fixed in no time. Will definitely use this company again.

The service was free as it was included in one of my previous contracts. I have been using them for a few years now. They are always very prompt and are very nice service people.

Went well. This ias a very professional outfit and service tech's are able to find a fix. THey are promp,confirm appointments by e-mail. Service call price is high and every repair they made for me was at least $300. I had them do the first one but declined to second $300. I didn't want to have more in this stove than it's worth. Sold outfit but absolutely not cheap.

Rafael from Guinco arrived in the early part of the time estimate. Evaluated both appliances and concluded that the washing machine could be fixed for a reasonable amount but alas the refrigerator repair would be as much as new one. The decision was easy. Not having the the appropiate part with him to fix the washer was a let down, but you can not expect him to have every part in his truck. He gave me an estimate of when he would have the part and when he could return (three days later).He said that I would be notified by E-mail to confirm what time he would be here. Again he arrived early and repaired the washer in short order. He began to fill out the bill and reminded me about the Angies list coupon that I had printed off. The bill was exactly what he said it would be minus the $25.00 coupon. On time, professional evaluation, honest, and work completed correctly and at the estimate quoted. What is not to like? The tech came out the first day assessed the problem and ordered the part. Three days later when the part came in, he came back out and installed the part. It totally saved me from having to purchase a new oven before selling my house. Also, the internet based reservation system is very convenient.

We inherited the dishwasher and Whirlpool fridge in the house we just bought. They were looking pretty neglected and I wanted to make sure they were good to use or we were going to replace them. The tech came out and checked the fridge over and cleaned the coils off and it works like a charm. He also gave me some good advice on how to rehab the dishwasher.

Overall, the service went very well. They were prompt, knowledgeable, explained to me what happened which was very helpful. I thought the price was fair as well. They were quick and professional. This is our first experience with them and it was a positive one.

He gave me the estimate for repair, which seemed very high for the amount of work needed. I felt I got the run around with as to they were needing the parts from. Everyone locally uses the same warehouse, but I was told they would need to get the parts elsewhere. Also, I noticed on the estimate that they attempted to charge for the same part twice. The situation seemed somewhat sleazy, I wouldn't work with them again in the future.

I've used them a lot. They were very responsive and they have a neat reservation system that is handled online. The workers are professional and they did a good job for the price. I have also used them for refrigerator repair.

I appreciate their work however, this is the second time I have used Guinco and is the second time I feel the pricing structure seems twice as high as it should be. I was told the diagnosis/call out would be $79.95 on my refrigerator and I expected the labor to install the new part would be $30 and $30 more for the part itself. This would have made the total charge about $140. The work actually took less than an hour, however the labor was 190 plus about $30 for the part, I was told since they used standard book flatrate pricing of $220. Thus the total was $220 about $80 more than what I thought was fair for less than an hour's work plus a part. Guinco's labor rate is about twice what my Toyota Certified Master Tech's hourly labor rate ($94) is to repair my cars at the Toyota dealership! Why is that? since Toyota also uses flatrate pricing and has to keep training up for its Certified Master Techs?? Remember there are only 2 or 3 of these type mechanics at most car dealership repair shops.

Almost an hour late. Was scheduled to arrive between 10a-1p and arrived around 1:45. I did not receive a call from the company or technician so finally called them to make sure they were still coming. Technicnan did not make eye contact or introduce himself when he arrived, but he ended up being ok. They were unable to fix our problem, but he worked on it for a long time and only charged us for the housecall.

They are one of the few local appliance repair companies that offer extended warranties on in-house repairs! They have warranties over several brands of appliances, including most of the appliance in my house. They are just fabulous! They come out pretty regularly to change filters and do service work. They are the most courteous, they fix things that seem to be unfixable. They are just the best! I wouldn't call anyone else. They are wonderful!

Noticed me frig not cooling properly...things seemed a little damp when I picked them up out of frig. Quinco found a leaky hose and replace it, fixing the problem plus showed me how to look for ice crystals forming that might signal the compressor going out. Also gave me a tip on how to remove a rusty spot caused by the excess moisture. (It worked!) I was very pleased with the service call.

My washing machine stopped working. They came out to examine. They found out the motor was fried. They recommended I buy a new one rather than fix it, because it was a cheap machine and it didn't make sense to fix it. I respected that.

Gave us recommendations on what brand oven he thought we should consider.

I had also used their services for my mother at her house. They came out to my house and told me what was wrong with my refrigerator. They gave me an estimate of what it would cost to fix it. The refrigerator wasn't worth the cost of the part and so, we didn't have it fixed. They came out and did what I had asked them to do. I was satisfied with what they did. I felt that the price was average and within the range of what other companies charged.

They arrived within the time window provided and were very professional the whole time. He looked up prices on a couple different igniters to make sure that he was getting me the best deal. It ending up costing 300 minus the $25 angies list coupon I had) to replace the igniter. He worked very efficiently and got the work done as quickly as possible. He was able to answer all the questions that I had. I would use them again for sure.

They were pretty good. They were professional.

I noticed that my oven wasn't heating up or staying hot like it should so I called to have someone come out and look at it. The oven is an old Hotpoint oven from the 60s or 70s, so I wasn't sure that it could be fixed, but the gentleman who came out was able to pinpoint the problem right away and took the broken heating element with him to research and see if a newer element could be put in our old oven. That was a Friday. First thing Monday morning he called and said he had a part and would be able to install it at my availability. He was on time each time that he came to my house and was very quick and curteous each time. I was very happy that he had done his homework and had found a part for my old oven that I wasn't sure could be repaired. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for large appliance repair.

Joe, diagnosed the trouble replaced the heat coil, tested the dryer, and cleaned the bottom of the dryer out from lint. He commented what good of shape the dryer was in for its age. We appreciated his professionalism and repair. He quoted the repair price as 213.55 + tax and we paid $206.16 with our angies list discount. Kind of on the high side required for the repair but glad to get it repaired. He had the part on the truck so it was repaired immediately.
