Guinco Service

This is the second time I have use Guinco. I'm completely satisfied and have recommended them to friends.

After traveling I came back to TX and was ill. When I realized that my freezer wasn't working properly it was too late to save any of my food. I loved my side by side. Repair person told me they weren't allowed to work on my GE fridge. Said it was probably the compressor. My fridge was less than 4 years old. I called Gunico and was told that the repair guy was incorrect, that of course they could work on my fridge. By then I was so frustrated and ill that I replaced my fridge immediately.

Repair was fine. Took over a week to get an appointment.

Guinco came through and got a tech out today, even though it was after hours (6 pm). The freezer issue turned out to be a drain that developed ice. The service tech removed the ice and charged only for a basic refrig call. The element for my stove will probably need to be ordered, and as it is evening, he will call in the morning to let us know when to expect it. He also told me that the reason my refrigerator and freezer doors are not closing properly is because of broken springs (which he is ordering) and taught me things I did not know about properly caring for my Bosch dishwasher. Mark was great! He will still need to come back and replace the element in my stove and the springs in my refrig/freezer, but this kind of service makes me a loyal customer.

They came out, looked at it and they had to order a part. Then, when they got the part they came back and fixed it for us. They were efficient, and they were informative on what they were doing. They cleaned after themselves and kept us up to date on what was going on if they were late on their part to come in.

The technician arrived with a replacement product ( anticipated needing it-but didnt know for sure he would). He was thorough and knowledgeable.

Performed repairs professionally but significantly over-priced. I paid over $300 for a repair that included a part that cost approximately $100 and less than 30 minutes of labor. I considered declining the service but the hook is that you are forced to pay a trip charge of $100 if you refuse the service so you end up loosing money either way.

The service guy arrived on time on both repair dates (one for eval and one for the service). He quickly did his evaluation, noted what needed to be fixed and spent the time to explain it to my husband and I so we understood what needed to be fixed and why. On his return visit, he was honest in telling us that one of the parts he thought may need to be replaced was actually fine so he saved us the cost by leaving it. Everything else was back to perfect working order. The entire process was handled via email which made the entire process smooth. I now have my invoice already in digital format which will help immensely in keeping with my record keeping which is done primarily online.

We needed service for an 8 year old refrigerator. I called on Friday am and was able to get an appointment for Monday. Appointment window was reasonable (3 hours) and I was given a courtesy call about 15 minutes prior to his arrival. Service was tidy, quick and accurate - no expensive "extras" that always seem to come up. He even offered a few helpful maintenance tips to prolong life of appliance. Overall experience was easy and stress-free.

Ginco Services repairs refrigerators but does not sell new ones. The service technician's evaluation yielded a high cost repair problem, an evaporator leak. Because the refrigerator was 22 years old, he recommended replacing the refrigerator rather than repairing. I appreciated and respected his advice from which Guinco received no direct monetary benefit. However, they did find a new customer.

The service providers were prompt, professional and proficient. This was a warranty repair, and they completed it over the holidays. I am totally happy with the results and with the service.

We are going to to go back to the company to get an itemized statement and question the cost for the work. Overall, the service man was very nice, prompt and did explain everything.

We are using GUINCO's services for a while for our Whirlpool appliances and they are absolutely A+... I will definitely recommend to others....

Our refrigerator quit cooling so we scheduled an appointment on Saturday with Sears for Monday between 8:00 and 12:00. When no one showed we called and Sears claimed we made the appointment for Wednesday and that we were mistaken. We were not mistaken so we cancelled the appointment with Sears and called Guinco. They promised a tech would be at the house the next morning between 8:00 and 10:00. The tech showed up at 8:00. He preformed a few tests and determined the compressor was bad and the cost for replacement was $600 - $700. He did not recommend repairing the old unit and even gave us some suggestions for quality brands. We ended up purchasing a new unit.

It was an expensive repair but still cheaper than buying a new stove at the time. Guinco was very professional and did a good job.

Saw ad for Guinco in Angie's List book - called them for refrigerator leak problem. Receptionist courteous but told me it would be 3-4 days before they could come out. This is only item I marked less than excellent. When I called back to schedule, spoke w different receptionist who was friendlier and gave me a next day timeframe. She was also more knowledgeable about the process. The rest is as above in first part of survey.

It went well. He put on shoe covers. He was very professional. He came in assessed the problem. He had the part on his truck and the repair did not take long. He tested the washer and all was good.

My LG dryer started to make a terrible vibration sound so I contacted Guinco (based on prior reviews) on Thursday morning to schedule an appt and by Friday morning my dryer was fixed. Turns out that a dryer sheet had somehow worked it's way behind the drum. I would highly recommend this company for future appliance repair. Their automated system was easy to use and the team was very professional and polite. Well done!

Perfectly - timely, friendly, professional, inexpensive

Evaluated the problem & resolved it.

I called on Tuesday and had an appointment by Thursday. The girl that answered the phone was very nice. They gave me a 3 hour window by Wednesday. On Thursday, the technician (Ricky) called about 30 minutes ahead (just as promised) to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he put on shoe covers before entering the house. He also put a soft mat on top of the island so he could put down tools or parts without damaging the countertop. He proceeded to take out the icemaker and showed me what was wrong with it. He told us the cost of the part and we agreed to proceed with the repair. He had the part with him, which was great. Ricky was professional, polite, friendly and extremely nice. He left everything clean, no mess! I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Our Kitchenaid dryer door hinge broke. Dustin was polite, prompt and fixed our dryer door very quickly. I highly recommend Guinco and Dustin. Thank you Dustin.
