Its a great company. They come every 3 months to change the filters. I trust them completely. They treat me as family.

It went good. Jack from Brown Service Co. went right to work and knew what he was doing. Work was completed on time and the unit is working good.

Their pricing was fair. I bought a service contract thru them. So they're out here a few times a year. The guy that put my thermostat in actually stood back and made me show him that I knew how to work it. I appreciated that.

Overall A. I would use them again. They always explain things to me. They don't just get in there and do it. They act like you are the only customer they've got that day. I think that's important.

I had a contract with them. The last guy they sent to my house went up to my attic and came back down and said I had a leak in my hvac line and I needed to go on and get it repaired. I didn't believe that. So, I called another company and they came out and couldn't find any leak, put freon in my a/c and I haven't had any problem.

They do what they say they will do and they are here when they say they will be. I have not had any problems with using them. To me, their pricing is good; I pay a yearly fee with them.

Brown serviced my heat and AC for many years. They also installed a furnace four years ago. But when it came time to upgrade my outside AC unit one year ago, they wanted too much money. Their quote was literally double the one I went with. Brown was at least 35% more expensive than EVERY company that gave me a quote. I went with a cheaper intstaller for our new system. I do regret this now. The deal with Brown is, they are pretty much the best. So they are not cheap. Their prices reflect the level of service and knowledge they provide. I only had so much budget, and next time will save up more. The other company made promises they could not keep, specifically that our miserable upstairs bedroom would be fixed. Brown would not make this promise. Now i see why. I really do think they could have made more effort to give me a competitive cash price, especially after having been a client for over a decade. I am still deeply frustrated by this, a year later. But having said that, you get what you pay for. The company I used instead of Brown is basically a and quot;salesand quot; company working for a big box home store. They have no qualified installers or service techs like Brown. The other guy's installers, i found out, were only trained on the job and did not have formal training or licenses. Brown, on the other hand, has people that TEACH heat and AC. If you have the money, and you don't want to worry about your heat/AC, call Brown. They can handle it. If you need a discount, good luck to ya. Hope this review helps somebody. Sorry if it does not!

My family have used Brown over the years with good success in workmanship but the price always seemed a little high. Very good workmanship and quality. I called them again but this time they bid 3,600, almost exactly double what three other HVAC company's quoted me. $3600 vs $1800. They really just didn't want my business. Not sure why but I highly recommend you shop around.

They were very professional. They tell you what's going on with the system. The technicians not only know what their air conditioning systems are doing but they know how to tell you what they're doing. It's very much one to one relationship.

They are always friendly, and if there are any problems with our HVAC they send someone out to fix the issue immediately. I would recommend them to anyone with an HVAC.

We have been using Brown for about 10 years now. We had them install a new AC unit in 2003. We have had a maintenance agreement ever since. They have always been professional, prompt, and never a hard sell. I called them Monday morning, 11/19/12 about a pilot light that kept blowing out. They came out that afternoon to troubleshoot the problem. The furnace was past the point of being safe. They gave me a great price on a new furnace, gave me credit for a thermal couple they installed 11 days earlier, agreed to install a new drip pan. They came out at 3 pm the next day and had everything done by 6 pm. The two installers were very professional and did a great job installing the furnace and cleaning up. They kept me informed of everything they were doing.

Overpriced - I didn't call the right company for such a small job. I expected to pay the service charge but I didn't expect to pay an additional $98 labor and parts to install (in 15 minutes) a ballast that I could have bought for $20 at the local store. Also, the electrician was unable to make the appointment day that was promised and had to come back the next day. I did receive a couple calls to let me know that he was running late but he didn't come at all that day.

Had, what seems, was a rodent die in my duct work. Bad smell when fan was on and blown in insulation pieces suddenly appearing in the register and on the floor beneath the registers. Had critter removal company come out but couldn't find anything. They said it was probably decaying in the duct and suggested a duct cleaning service that utilizes a video inspection.....Found this company and went to their website. Great, a guy in a picture using video inspection while cleaning.Tech arrives but no video inspection device. "Got stolen". Well my whole focus was on this inspection and that they would "find and repair any leaks and cracks" in my duct work. Asked tech to call superiors with my concerns and perhaps a return visit when camera arrives.... Nope, nothing. No offer to help me outVery disappointed by misleading photo on website. Probably my fault for not making my expectations crystal clear. Total waste of time and money

I needed some electrical work done on the service to my furnace. Brown Service promptly sent one of their electricians who completed the work professionally. Excellent experience.

We only used them once. The quality of their work was good. The guy who came did what he was supposed to do and came when he said. They have a service fee of $89 just to come to the house and then whatever work they do on top of that. They are very proud of that but we think it is a little expensive. We spent more than what we thought we had to. We are not sure if we would use them again in the future and that is only because of the price. We would probably at least try to get a handyman to do it first before we called them.

Brown Service is very professional and courteous. When we first used them 12 years ago they discovered the duct work in our home had been recalled. They were able to get it replaced at no cost to us, saving us a lot of money. I highly recommend doing business with them.

A bit expensive but overall not bad

Overall everything went well. They installed my unit from the ground up and I trust that they know what they are doing. As expensive as heating units are these days it's important to keep up with the maintance to keep it working.

They check and oil the air conditioning and heating system periodically. This time they were here only for an inspection and maintenance check in the spring and fall. It was thorough and I didn't have anything that made me feel sorry for choosing them, not did they do anything that made me say they were better than the average people. I chose them as they did a good job in analyzing the system I had, along with the problems I faced. They knew the tax rebates I could get after putting an air conditioning system, which the company I was using didn't know. I recommend them and will use them in future. They went out of their way to send a highly qualified person here, who listened to my problems and went out of his way to make a recommendation to save me $1500 and a tax credit. The outlet I was working with recommended I replace an air conditioner and heater, but they didn't recommend to replace an efficient one, to qualify for a tax credit. The one they recommended was a few dollars cheaper, but would have costed me $1200 more expensive and less efficient system. Brown Service Co. did a good service to me and recommended a unit which was eligible for tax break and I think other people didn't know I was eligible to a tax break or probably, they were incompetent and may be having less efficient units. If someone asks me to recommend them I will. The person who came for an inspection didn't check the whole unit, but he came and talked to me. He seemed highly qualified and advised to me change the furnace, which I did. The system was leaking and we didn't know from where it was leaking. The evaporator coil was old, too and he felt it was better to replace the unit. I got a system which is much efficient than the other and I am sure it is. He didn't charge me anything to do that. I was happy with what he told me and in general, his domineer and knowledge. As soon as he left, I called Brown Service Co. and paid for the maintenance plan, because I wanted to give them good money, in return for what he did for me. They were responsive and were not one of these people who say they'll get back and don't for the next 2 or 3 months. The people who came were very knowledgeable and came at the time, as they said they would. They called before they came and asked for an appropriate time to do the job. I then gave them a few days and then they sent me a letter of the schedule. The person, who came here, seemed to be in the business for a long time and knew what he was talking about. He was so much better than the other person who used to come from the other company. They were professional, knowledgeable and do a good job. I am using their services in the future, too. They come twice a year for a maintenance check and if you have any problem and require you to replace something, they do it @ 15% or 10% reduction.

Arrived on time and worked proficiently. No problems and electrician was very courteous and knowledgable.

We have used Brown Service for several years for regular maintenance on our home HVAC system. This spring during our twice a year visit, we again had to add freon to the system. The technician tracked the leak to the VERY old outdoor compressor unit and suggested that the time had come to replace it. Later that day, we had a bid in hand and decided on a high end, energy efficient system. THE NEXT DAY they were here to install it and were finished by 5 that afternoon. We are glad we went ahead with this work before the record heat we had this summer started. Our electric usage has dropped by over 40 percent compared to the previous year - in spite of the heat. Every aspect of the job was just as we exxpected. Everything was done right the first time and we have not needed any followup visits. Brown Service is first rate and we will continue to use them for preventative maintenance and other projects in the future.

Following completion of our new back patio and patio cover, we contracted with Brown Services to install an outdoor ceiling fan and outdoor stereo speakers on the patio. Because of the design of the attic of our house, this was a rather challenging installation, but they handled it with ease and completed the work in half a day. This is a beautiful addition to our new patio and cover. All work was completed as scheduled and at the cost agreed to. We are very happy with the electrical work done by Brown Services and also use them for our air conditioning/heating needs. We highly recommend them.
