Description of Work: This is the second time I've had David and his guys do some work for me and it has been outstanding both times. He's a craftsman and will make sure the job is done right the first time.

Description of Work: They patched two large holes in my oak hardwood floors which came about from some major plumbing repairs that insurance wasn't covering. Youngbloods removed, replaced, scraped, stained, and sealed new areas to match three year old floors. Took several days so wood could acclimate and stain/sealant could dry. Looks great!

Our home was built in the 1960's, and has unique hardwood flooring in the den and dining areas, with actual walnut pegs placed at the ends of each board. This flooring had been carpeted over for years. We removed the carpet and had David refinish the wood. One challenge was that we also removed a wall between the two rooms, leaving only columns at each end to separate the two. The original plan was for David to interlace new wood with the old where the wall had been for a seamless look to the floors. That plan fell apart after the wall was actually removed due to the boards not being lined up exactly. We were very impressed with the alternate plan David quickly suggested, which was to design a pattern using different types of wood where the wall had been, and also around the columns, which gave it a decorative look and tied everything together beautifully. We are very pleased with the custom design and receive compliments from everyone who sees it! David and his crew also did a great job of lacing in the new wood with the old in the doorway between the dining room and the study. They drilled holes at the ends of the new boards and added the walnut pegs by hand (fascinating to watch how they did this!). David even noticed the new wood came in slightly shorter lengths than the original wood. So even though the pegs in the den/dining rooms are at the end of every board, he realized by continuing that pattern, there would be more pegs in the study, making the difference slightly noticeable. So he made adjustments, and only added random pegs, carefully looking at the adjacent dining room to make sure they were being spaced about the same. The result is perfect - you would never know the flooring in the study was not original. They even polished our brick entryway and re-stained the grout as an "extra service" they just "threw in." Overall we were very pleased with the cost, workmanship and service, and are planning to use Youngbloods for the next phase of our home renovation.
Description of Work: Refinished original hardwood flooring in den and dining rooms, plus added matching wood floor to adjacent study which had been carpeted previously.

They did an excellent job from start to finish. Our floors are beautiful. My only complaint is that they did not tape our baseboards before staining. The stain did not come off, and we had to get our baseboards painted. If you don't want to have your baseboards repainted, I suggest you make sure they tape yours!
Description of Work: Youngblood's filled in a carpeted area to match the surrounding wood floors. Because of the age of the floors, and to get the new floor to match the old floor properly, we had to sand, stain, and refinish our entire floor.

I called Dave up and he came out to look at the damage thirty minutes later. He was extremely helpful and responsive. He and his team were able to perform the job quickly. They did a pretty good job of matching up the color of the refinished floor to the rest of the house (difficult to do). I had to be at work while he performed the work, and trusted him to lock up. We had a great experience with him and will be in touch when it's time to do the rest of the house, including some more damage that the moving company/their handyman did to our master bedroom. Overall, Dave and team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Description of Work: Refinished/repaired floor in house entry that were damaged by a moving company (and further damaged by moving company's handyman).

We contacted Youngblood on recommendation from our general contractor. We originally booked with a different flooring person (Marty's Floors), but we could not get Marty to commit to a time and date to come out (kept rescheduling). We needed to move in and get the floors done in a hurry, and Youngblood came to the rescue. He was able to start quickly, but did not rush through the job. Very professional, explained everything that he was doing, what products he used, care of the floor ect. His prices were reasonable, and he always showed up when he said he would. We are extremely pleased with the end product, and will be hiring him install and finish more floors in the future.
Description of Work: Refinish of hardwood floors in five rooms, plus hallways.

Job was completed as scheduled, but there was one area that is missing shoe molding. Despite multiple phone calls to have them come back to finish the work, the work has not been done. Also, there are varnish stains on my molding (which is painted white). The company has already been paid in full.
Description of Work: Install new flooring in foyer where there had been water damage; sand and refinish existing wood floors in first floor.

This company came out on June 12th to do the estimate, and we set a start up date for June 27th. All the furniture and appliances were moved out of my kitchen, laundry room, dining room and entrance hall. On the morning of June 27th, Mr. Youngblood's representative showed up with two laborers. I asked him if the company had documented the laborers'legal status, as required by the federal government, and he referred me to the owner, Dave Youngblood. I called him and he told me that "he wasn't going to put up with that" and that he had ordered his crew to pack up and leave the job site.
Description of Work: This contractor walked off the job when I asked him if his laborers had work permits.
