Description of Work: Showed up on time for initial appt. Took very precise measurements and installed the when contacted, once tile work was completed. Had a small issue 6-months after installation and they responded to my call and made the necessary adjustments. I have and will continue to recommend them every time I have the opportunity!

Description of Work: The sales rep didn't want to come at the assigned time and instead opted to show up extra early in the afternoon so I had to arrange to leave work early to meet him and he showed even earlier than that. My wife took lots of notes and when I got home I tried calling him back to answer a couple of questions, but no answer, so I left a message and followed up with an email saying I wished to purchase a door. I never heard back from them and two weeks later when the refinishers were trying to work me in I found out that my order and paperwork had somehow never been processed. When I asked why not the gal on the phone was less than professional explaining that I had never paid a deposit...something that was never noted on any of the paperwork I had in my hand from them. I called back the next week to speak with a manager and was once again treated quite rudely. I would have cancelled the order then and there but I was under a construction schedule and couldn't wait the additional three-four weeks it would take to get a different company out to measure and order the glass. When the door came in the only bright spot was that Keith the installer was fantastic. Why he works for such idiots I don't know. He did a fine job and knew what to look for and was very particular to ensure the door was square and swung correctly. I was feeling better about the whole situation until two days after install when they called and said that my credit card was not going through. Upon research I found they had tried to run the card several times in rapid succession and my bank had frozen the account after the first charge went through. When I called them back to explain that they told me that they had no way to see what they had charged me and that they would need proof from my bank. They did manage to figure it out that the error was on their end but at that point it was par for the course for this company. If you can deal with Keith things will be fantastic and you will love the door you get in the end. If you have do deal with anyone else run far away the other direction. I am usually pretty easy going and can be understanding, but Shower Doors of Dallas should only be used if you can't find any other company and even then be very careful.

Description of Work: Brandon at Shower Doors of Dallas installed the frameless glass enclosure in our guest bath in December 2014 and did a beautiful job. It was not a simple job since it was an unusual shape and has uneven slate walls. We could not have been happier with the results and the way he handled the entire process! We are now getting close to installing a new shower in our master bath and will definitely be using him again. He came out for a free pre-construction quote and gave very helpful suggestions on the shower design. We've had some delays in construction, but are looking forward to having him return to install another beautiful enclosure for us!

+ -1 morePrior to the shower glass installation, we had a different contractor do the tile work around our shower and tub. During the estiamting processs, the estimator from Shower Doors of Dallas pointed out several deficiencies in the tile work that (1) would deleteriously affect the shower glass installation and use, and (2) a more careful tile installer would not have done. After collecting several bids, Shower Doors of Dallas came inpretty much in the middle, so, although I was surprised at the price of the project, it became evident that I was being quoted the going rate. We chose them because of their professionalism. For example....their bid was very detailed and even had a CAD drawing of the finished product. Many of the others were simply scribble scratch on a peice of paper, or even just a verbal quote. The office folks and installation guys coordinated and communicated well with us, and the shower looks great!

+ 0 moreI found Shower Doors of Dallas in a contractor advertising throw away I just happened to leaf through. I then looked them up on Angie's List and found excellent reviews. I emailed them and requested a quote. Jason, the owner, came the same day to discuss the options with me. I had several questions and Jason either answered his cell phone immediately, or returned my call within a few minutes after leaving a message. When I decided to proceed he came back personally and did the measurements for two possible options. While I was deciding which option to go with (frameless three panel vs. frameless 5 panel with a header) the crew came and took away the old shower. This gave up plenty of time to do some tile repair work. It took about two weeks to get the shower glass delivered. We went with the 5 panel version with a header because it made the interior of the shower larger and helped disguise some tile damage. The crew came exactly when they said they would and had the shower installed in a couple of hours. Neat, clean, professional. The crew left and we were told not to use the shower for a period of time (I think it was two days). They also supplied us with glass cleaner and a squeegee. When it came time to use the shower, the shower door seemed to pop open and not close quite right. I called Monica and she sent a crew over right away. They fixed the door in about 5 minutes. The shower itself is gorgeous. I wish I had done this ten years ago. The glass is thick and crystal clear. It has a heavy spa like feel to it. I should add that the first day I met Jason I had the throw away ad in my hand. Unbeknownst to me there were coupons on the bottom of that ad. Jason honored both the discount ($150) on shower glass and a 50% reduction in the cost of Clear Shield. That was great. It put all the other bids I was entertaining out of the ball park. We have been using the shower for over two months now. Clear Shield really does work. We do use the squeegee every time we shower. The shower then dries as if I just windexed it. We love it. Jason and his wife, Monica are a pleasure to deal with. They are totally concerned about delivering a custom product that meets your expectations.

+ -1 more. They did a really good job. They also put a special coat on the glass which makes it easier to clean. This coating also prevents the hard water deposits. It is better than Rain-X. It has a Cardinal 10 year warranty. They had a particular problem in that the glass is really heavy and is supposed to be nailed into the wall. The way our shower is placed the wall is directly behind the door. I did not want two doors opening into each other. So they actually had to come out and do some engineering to get the glass to be where I wanted it. They did it. Furthermore they took the coupon which I saw in the papers. So I was really happy. They came out immediately and took the order. I paid them half the amount that is their term. Then they came immediately after the cultured marble was all set. Then they came in the next day to put in the closure. We have been shopping around for frameless shower doors. What we wanted was really expensive and we felt really good paying what we did. He was willing to find an answer to my problem. He did not say that you need to put the glass door on the wall. He told me why it is supposed to be that way. But he was willing to work with me. It did not cost that much more to do it the way I wanted. Probably why I went ahead and got the Cardinal Ten Year Warranty for Rain-X. It is a coating that they bake it on to the glass and it is done even before you order the glass. They told us about the different types of glass and that just made it easy. They were very responsive. They gave us the estimate right away. They had moved their office and they had not even set up their showroom so they sent me to another glass company to view the glass. I would recommend them to others. I would use them in the future.
