Waste of time and money

There were missteps in the process as I went there WITH THE MOWER in my trunk and was not given a clear idea of POTENTIAL costs. I then TIRED to get mower fixed under warranty. (Advice: Do NOT buy a Murray mower - NO ONE does warranty work on them!) I was unable to get the work done under warranty, so I went back to Richardson Saw and Mower.||Mower that was bought this spring, 6 months ago, would not start. They said that it was due to 'old gas' and explained that gas in the mower should not sit over 2 weeks at most, or mower may not start. They cleaned out the old gas, and mower then started.

They are conveniently located. They are very friendly. They are realistic in their time to do the repair so they will tell you it is going to take these number of days and they just have always done before that. I also like that they have actually something been a little odd and may be might need a repair but it is questionable they did call and let you know option and so I appreciate that. They never overdo it and not leave you unaware of that something down the road may be a potential problem. They are very honest.

Very Pleased.

Overall it was a great lawn mower purchasing experience.

They fixed our Toro lawn mower that had stopped working. I found them on Angie's list and my husband called them. They told us to bring it in. A few hours later on the same day, we got a call saying that the lawn mower had been fixed and was ready for pickup! They changed the spark plugs and the mower is working. It cost us $45. An earlier estimate we had received from another company was $110- more than twice what we paid. We will definitely use them again.

They did a great job. It took about a week from when I dropped it off for them to complete the work.

They are excellent.

Drop off was easy - though I think the guys took amusement with me bringing in a mower, as they smirked and asked if I'd hit something with it (of course, the reply was no). Anyway - it took about a week before I heard back that it was fixed and ready to be picked up. I wish it would have been finished a bit sooner (as my yard was out of control by the time I got it back, seeing as how the prior week's mowing was interrupted by the malfunction) but otherwise, I was happy with the job they did.

I called on the last day of their spring special and they gave me the discount even though they couldn't pick up the tractor for a few days. They did the work quickly and returned the tractor within a week. My only complaint was that they didn't call to keep me informed of increases in the bill, but we had discussed the work ahead of time (replacing the blades and tire) just not the price.

I called their shop and asked if they would repair Craftsman products. The friendly person who answered actually tried to trouble-shoot the problem over the phone (after I had flooded the engine with gas, they made suggestions of inexpensive fixes I could try). After my attempts failed, they did accept my mower later that morning and had it fixed within 2 days. It was clean and working smoothly. What impressed me most is that they sharpened the blade at no extra cost. The mower has worked as well as I can remember for the last mowing season, starting on the first pull every time! I plan to take my mower back to them every year or two for regular tune-ups.

They are a John Deere authorized repair store. I took my mower in and they determined it was under warranty. They repaired it and called me when it was done.
