Sales, install & design energy saving reflective insulation products, traditional insulation, LED energy saver lights, garage door insulation kits & more. Our Radiant Barrier is 400% stronger and 30% lighter than other radiant barriers. Most importantly it is NOT a laminate, so, it doesn't and can't seperate like most other Radiant Barriers
They were punctual and excellent. They were quick and professional. We had no problems with them at all. I would highly recommend them. They were very responsive. It was on Angie's List that I bought the big deal they responded back and set it up and it was great.

initially, we were worried because first crew that came out didn't seem confident that the job could be done. We spoke with manager / owner? and he sent another crew out as soon as possible and they explained that the first crew was concerned about the high pitch of our attic. They brought the right equipment and did a great job. I had our energy company come out for an audit and he said our attic was one of the best he'd seen as far as energy conservation! So, overall, job well-done.

Installation was accomplished quickly and professionaly. There was a mistake in billing as for for amount of attic space covered but the company rep quickly resolved the issue. Due to medical limitations I have not climbed a ladder to check the job but at this time I am satisfied, I can already notice an improvement in heating and cooling the treated room. Thank you for your help.

My home has two attics which are entirely separate and not interconnected. One covers a two-story portion of my home and one covers a one-story wing of my home. I saw that this company had an Angie Deal for 349.00 for 1000 square feet of radiant barrier installed, provided that the job was for the complete attic. I called the company before purchasing the deal, and spoke with a man named Joe, and explained my situation. He hemmed and hawed on the deal for my attic, and asked me to email him my address, so he could obtain information on my property. I did so, and also sent a survey of my home and photographs of the separate attic wing, and I heard nothing further from him that day. However, on the next day, he wrote to me, and said they were not willing to do my job, because it would not be profitable for them. He then suggested that I buy radiant material on Amazon.com and do the work myself (I have health problems, and am unable to do this, but in any event, that suggestion was outrageous). I was in fact seeking to install radiant barrier throughout a complete attic, which met all the terms and conditions of the Angie's offer, but they still were not willing to do the work, no doubt because my entire attic surface is probably only around $1,000 square feet, so the business would not be able to compensate for their "deal" by overcharging me for installation on a larger surface area. Thus, the deal they are offering here on Angie's list is nothing but a bait and switch, and I would not recommend that anyone do business with this company. Moreover, they did not even offer to do the work at an undiscounted price, instead just referring me to Amazon.com. Under the law, if a company makes a public offer, and a member of the public accepts it, it is a binding contract and must be honored. This company should engage counsel to review their advertising materials so they don't get into trouble. Had I actually purchased the deal, rather than calling first, and had they advanced the same refusal, I would have had a strong claim for breach of contract, and would have filed suit to enforce the deal. As things stand, I would never consider doing business with them, and advise others to pursue a more honest dealership that honors its commitments here.

We attempt to please all our customers or future customers. Sometimes, that’s not always possible. Our homepage offer is as specific as we believe it needs to be regarding the terms of our special. Our goal in offering the special is to reduce the overall cost of installing a radiant barrier in a home’s attic because covering the entire attic provides the best possible benefit to the customer. The offer states it must include installing barrier in the “entire” attic of the home. We clarify all the terms of the offer to each customer at the first contact either by phone or email. It is our understanding the term “entire attic” applies to the entire attic covering a home regardless of the interior design of the attic. In many cases due to construction or code issues attics can be divided: firewalls, design elements, plumbing or electrical issues, etc. We understand some customers may decide not wish to take advantage of our offer because the entire attic must be covered and gladly refund any purchase if necessary. We will continue to offer excellent customer service from start to finish regardless of whether we are selected to do an install or not. We pride ourselves on being honest and up front with our customers.

Unfortunately we did not anticipate the job to be as big as it will be and have asked Joe and his team to not start work. The price to do the job is well outside what we were expecting to pay. Joe and his team have been fantastic with communication and understanding of our situation. The professionalism during all of this has been top-notch. When my financial situation changes, I will certainly look to Reach Barrier for our insulation needs.

nstall against the roof. The crew was great, they explained what they were doing, and even managed to install in the narrow space of the cathedral ceiling, which I was concerned about. They even cleaned up fallen insulation from the attic stair steps that was on the carpet, expected some, after all, they had to go up and down to get and install more roof the barrier. They did recommend more blown in insulation, I imagine some got trampled on doing the install

I contacted this provider the week of April 1, 2014, and set up an appointment for one of their service personnel to come to my residence in Terrell, TX, in order to give an estimate and, probably, to perform the work of installing a radiant barrier shield in my attic. The date for the inspections was Monday, April 7, 2014. No one showed up and I received no phone call as to why. There was someone in the house for the entire day of the appointment. On April 9 I called this vendor once again. They said they would find out what the problem was and call me back. I did not receive a call back. I called again on April 10 and spoke directly with the President, Larry Kortkamp, who said he was familiar with the problem and would call me back right away. No call from Larry. By this time I am determined to find out what kind of company this is. I called the office today, April 11, and again spoke with Larry Kortkamp. He told me that his person had come to my house and had even looked into the windows and found no one at home. That leaves 3 options: 1. I am lying about there being someone here at 10:30 AM on April 7 (the original appointment date); 2) The employee is practicing a CYA to protect his job; or 3) This is not a company anyone should be doing business with under any circumstances. Personally I am going with numbers 2 and 3. Good luck if you choose number 1. p.s. Interestingly enough I sent this message to Larry Kortkamp prior to posting on Angie's List and received no response.

An estimate appointment was scheduled for a Monday. We believe one outcome occurred and someone else is of the opposite opinion. As often happens we believed the customer had a change of heart until Thursday when he called and we began to schedule a solution. On a personal note, I apologize; I dropped the ball Friday afternoon. I was on my way to a family member’s funeral and did not follow up on this issue. Larry Kortkamp VP, Reach Barrier

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was kind of mediocre. I was somewhat pleased but I felt that I was kind of taken advantage of because I am a single lady. I didn't know what I was getting at first. Once they realized I didn't know what I was getting, they did a botched job until I had a professional come out and do some maintenance up in the attic. They said it didn't look good so I called and they gave me a lame excuse. I told them I had a professional out and the air wasn't blowing well. They didn't call back because they claimed they didn't have my cell phone number but they took my money. They did come back out and said the reason they didn't cover it up was because they were only supposed to go with 6 inches of insulation and there was none there. It was my fault for not really researching it but it was mediocre service. They charged for additional square footage. I had a problem with the invoice because they didn't take off the Angie's List discount so I had to call them to get that changed. It was a bad experience because I had to make constant follow up to get the installation correct and even the invoice.

We deeply regret that [removed member name] had a bad experience. Our goal at Reach Barrier is to always over deliver to each of our customers. We are an A rated service provider on Angie’s List. Those A ratings are due to excellence, dedication, trust and a desire to improve the lives and living comfort of each person we are fortunate enough to work for. I saw a coupon on Angie's List for the garage door insulation. Before buying the coupon, I read through most of their website (user friendly and easy to navigate) and then called the company and spoke to Greg at length. He was courteous and patient about giving me product details and providing information on other services ReachBarrier offered, but never acted like a salesperson. I told him I'd buy the coupon and have blown-in insulation installed as well. The price quoted was very reasonable and the office follow-up for scheduling came within hours. They had availability right away, which was a pleasant surprise, and were very nice about moving the date later when I had a conflict. The technician, Nick, arrived 5 minutes early. His work van was spotless and professionally painted with company information. Nick was polite, neat and clean in appearance, explained what he would be doing and about how long it would take, then went to work right away. His helper (sorry, don't have his name) presented himself the same way. The work took two hours. The application on the garage door was done tastefully and looks great. The blown-in insulation was installed very well, even given that we have plywood decking covering part of the attic space. They didn't bring a copy of the receipt, but a quick phone call to the office was all it took - I had one in the mail in 3 days. They also offered to send it electronically. Even though we're past the 100 degree temps, I can tell the air in the garage is not nearly as hot as it was prior. I used another company years ago to insulate my house attic, and we were happy with their work, but we had trouble communicating with the installers and the office. This experience was so different, and such a pleasure, I'll be looking for more coupons from them in 2014!

They were easy to reach. I actually spoke to the owner the first time I called. He was very knowledgeable about their product and told me what they were going to do. I can’t compare the price because I purchased the special through Angie’s List. They did an excellent job. They were prompt. Even though it was very hot on the day of installation, they managed to get the work done. They were a little higher than the original estimate, but they took money off.

The crew arrived at 7:35 A.M. and had the job completed by noon. The two guys doing the install were great. If I go up in the attic now there is a huge difference in the heat factor, which should translate into other benefits as well. As for the AC efficiency, it is way to early to make a fair assessment. If this saves wear & tear on my AC unit by running less as well as what I can definitly already see in attic heat reduction, I think it will be money well spent. Duaine Duncan

First they were late, but the young man called and said the traffice was really bad and he was going to be late. I really appreciated that he called to let me know. After that everything went well. They got there and started right away. Very nice young man, they took a few well deserved breaks and were done before 4 pm. They cleaned up any mess, left my place the way they found it. I would recommend them I'm looking forward to my next electric bill to see how much I saved. Best of all the cost was less they they quoted.

We had $2200 worth of insulation work done. They did the whole attic in a radiant barrier. They sent us an incorrect quote and we had to get that straightened out and when they finally billed us, the billing wasn't correct either so that was a problem for us. They ended up overcharging us and we are waiting for our refund. It was a fair price but they messed up the billing. The quality of work was great as well as responsiveness and punctuality and I would probably use them again.

I had been looking for companies to help with the lack of energy efficiency in my new house, which is a 1951 Cape Cod. When my husband and I purchased the house, we were unfamiliar with some of the challenges inherent to a Cape, one of which is the serious loss of heating and air conditioning due to the second (1/2) story being tucked into the roofline. I tried six times to contact another highly-rated company here on Angie's List, but after a couple of weeks of waiting, moved on to Reach Barrier. When I called, a real person picked up the phone, and when I said I had questions, she connected me to the president of the company who is right here in Richardson! Greg walked me through how their product was made (which made me feel really good), as well as how the installation takes place. The team arrived right on time (early to avoid the heat of the day), and finished faster than I expected. It is such a clean process -- basically film and staples -- and other than a slight off-gassing (which to my surprise, dissipated after about an hour) and some clunking around in the attic, I hardly knew anyone was working on the house. Somehow they managed to find access to the roof over my bathroom addition that I thought they wouldn't be able to do. That was a great surprise. The team was attractive (shouldn't matter, but I think it makes people feel comfortable), nicely-dressed, and well-spoken. When the job was done, the total came to a dramatically different price due to an error on the estimate, so I called the office and they straightened it out with no hassle whatsoever. You can tell this company is firmly committed to customer support and happiness. I popped into their office today to purchase DIY kits for our garage doors, and plan to get them out to professionally apply their radiant barrier film on our garage roof very soon.

Everything Reach said about the product and about their installers was absolutely true. Hey Reach, if you need a salesperson...I'm a believer and available!
Description of Work: I recently was in the Costco in Plano on 75, and there was a kiosk for Reach Barrier so I stopped to talk with them. I explained I had two new A/C units installed in my home in late 2010 by Alaskan Home Services (They are now out of business, and left us high & dry). I explained that when the temp. gets close to or over 100, the upstairs unit cannot cool down the area. We can set the control for 75, and it may reach 79, but then it runs all the time. The Reach guys said this is a common problem, and that their product would help. I also explained that my attic would be very, very difficult to completely cover with the barrier because of the tight areas and very high roof lines. They explained their guys were familiar with these problems, and would do everything to cover the entire attic. They had a special price for buying the barrier foil at Costco and a special install price for Costco members. They looked online and suggested I buy 3000 sq. ft. of product, and they would have extra with them if needed. We set up a day and time foe install, and I got a call two days before install, and they said they could come a day early. They showed up at 6:30 in the morning (to work in a hot attic this is a great time to start). They were finished by 3:30. I went upstairs, and to my amazement the entire roof area was covered...I just didn't think it was possible. I have a thermo gun to measure heat, and an exposed area on the roof read 135 while the barrier read 100! The proof, and even my wife is a believer, has been the past few days. Temps outside are 100+, and my wife has had the thermostat set at 75. No problems!!
