Update - June 23 2015 - The area that was leaking in our upstairs bedroom previously, that they supposedly fixed twice, is now leaking again. From the recent rains, we have had water streaming down the inside of one of our bedroom walls, which Platinum Roofing supposedly "fixed" twice before. Since they can't seem to do anything properly the first or even second time, there is no way I would ever call them out again even though it would be under warranty, so I will need to pay for a different roofer to come out and fix their mistakes/failures. Their sales person was very slick and very good at promoting their company and the references they had for their workmanship and the product. He assured us that he would work closely with our insurance company and take care of all the paperwork to make the process quick and easy. Their sales guy went on and on about how good they are at Stone Coated Steel roofs - and unfortunately, we bought into it. We contracted with them in May of 2011, but they were too busy to get started until September of 2011. We had to threaten to cancel the project to finally get them to start. The first job was to remove the old roof which they completely botched. They went on about how they would protect our property and our gutters - they removal crew had never worked with Hardishake - they damaged every single one of our gutters around the house, got debris in our pool and our AC unit, chipped our new front walkway and made a general mess all around the property. We had to fight with them every step of the way to get repairs made, replace the gutters and get the cleaning performed. Even as they reluctantly agreed to pay for repairs, they continually questioned whether any of the damage was existing to try to minimize their payout. The same crew that removed the old roof was used to apply the underlayment (like felt for a normal composition roof, but plastic is used for a Stone Coated Steel roof.) The underlayment was wrinked all over, in some places they actually ran the material vertically - I climbed up on the roof to find that many nails did not have the plastic sealing ring around them and some nails went in incorrectly, so they just banged them in sideways, thereby tearing the material. After they were finally done, the first rain we had, the roof leaked and damaged our ceiling as well as shorted out our intercom system which never worked properly thereafter. We had to fight with them to agree to replace the intercom system and they wouldn't do this until we paid them in full. After they "fixed" this leak, it leaked again, so they got another (better) crew out that fixed the leak (so far). The next big rain storm, we had another leak in another part of the house. They found and fixed that leak and then agreed to pay for damages in the house where a wall had water damage from the water streaming down. This time, they delayed paying us what they agreed to pay for the damage for months saying they needed to get paid on some other jobs first before they could pay the $325 dollars they agreed to pay for the damages. So obviously, they have little-to-no money available if they couldn't even reimburse us for such a small amount. This company is essentially 2 guys (owner and sales person, though they make themselves seem much larger) and a couple of roofing crews, they then contract the rest of it out with no control over the quality of the crews. I would not use this company again.
Description of Work: The project was to replace our current HardiShake roof with a Gerard stone coated steel roof.

They were prompt when I requested an estimate, they were thorough. They weren?t the lowest price, but they were definitely a low price and were very competitive. They had excellent feedback from BBB and their suppliers they use. I watched them do the job and I compared them with another job from a different roofing company in the neighborhood and I think they did a much better job. When they started the job, they finished. It only took then 11 business days to complete the task. We have had several had rains since the installation of the new roof and we have not had a leak. The only complaint I have is they told me they were going to send me all the warranty information and they still have not done that yet.
Description of Work: They replaced my roof and put in a standing steam.

My Overall Experience was Delightful and Professional! My sales rep was with me the entire step of the way. I especially liked how they didn't subcontract my roof out. All work was performed by their own guys. It made me feel more secure in my decision. I chose the perfect company to install my Metal Roof and Gutters. I would HIGHLY recommend this Company to any one who asks me! I DEFINITELY will be calling Platinum Roofing and Remodeling to come back to do my Hardwood Flooring and My Windows.
Description of Work: I needed to upgrade my roof from a composition roof to a metal roof, but was unaware of the cost and process.... Platinum Roofing and Remodeling made the entire process as painless as possible. I was able to upgrade to a Metal Shake roof that looks absolutely gorgeous! The work was performed in a timely manner and my gutters were replaced to match the roof. Platinum Roofing and Remodeling handled my entire insurance claim so I did not have to get the headache that comes with dealing with the insurance agency. I am Very Very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism that came along with this company!
