SIMPLY OUTSTANDING! I obtained quite a few quotes. The pricing was all over the board. The worst of it is most of them either didn't call back or didn't come out to quote when promised.... I even had one come out and I never heard from them again. Mickey Construction's pricing wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive. Stephen and his crew did EXACTLY what they said they were going to do EXACTLY when they said they were going to do it. He answered his phone or called back immediately. Couldn't ask for better service. The job came out AMAZING! And as you would expect they handled everything from permits to clean up. I highly recommend Mickey Construction!

Mickey and his team were amazing! Totally professional and did a high quality job. Showed up when they said they would and completed the job in the timeframe they committed to. It is not often you find contractors like Mickey - would definitely recommend!!!

Stephen was very responsive and wanted to make sure the job was done right. The pool decking repair looks great. Very pleased with the driveway and the new patio.

Perfect! They came first thing in the morning, got to work, and did a great job. They left everything clean and all the workers were professional and friendly.

Stephen replaced my front walk and porch which look great. He also replaced my double wide driveway. I have cracks in my driveway that came 3 months after the work was completed. Stephen said it was due to water getting under the driveway and lifting it up. When the weather dried out, they would go away. Now in the summer with no rain I have over 8 different cracks all over the driveway and Mr. Mickey says that is just part of Texas soil and has taken no additional steps to fix the problem. He had his crew remove the piece of wood that was between the garage and the driveway and put in a gel but that made no difference. The cracks continue and at this rate I will have to replace this driveway in another 5 years or so. Really disappointed with the service of this company.

Owner, Stephen Mickey responded withing hours of our initial request for an estimate. When he came out a few days later, he listened to our ideas and concerns, offered some suggestions.......he seemed very knowledgeable about all things concrete. By the next day, we had the written job proposal, which we accepted. At our request, we didn't schedule the job for almost three months after the proposal. In that time, we made some changes which added to the scope of the job. Stephen reworked the numbers to our approval, got an extra permit required by the city and the job started right on time. He and his crew arrived bright and early and didn't leave until the old driveway was removed and hauled away and the forms were in place for the new, expanded driveway were in place.............well over TEN HOURS later! We had to wait for the city inspector before we could pour the concrete. (Mr. Mickey gets all the necessary permits and schedules the utility locators). The inspector was quite impressed with the quality of work and said it was the best he had seen in a long time and that " whoever did that knows what they're doing." Half way through the next day, we had a new, much bigger driveway. We were very impressed with Mickey Construction from start to finish. At the end of each work day they even swept off the alley and moved their truck for the garbage truck. Mr. Mickey values customer satisfaction. He is honest, hardworking and responds quickly to phone calls and emails. We would definitely recommend Mickey Construction.

The owner (Stephen Mickey) was great to deal with--he gave us an estimate quickly, then was flexible with his installation dates to coordinate with another crew that we had working installing stonework. He communicated with us to let us know exactly when the driveway would be installed. The crew showed up when they said they would, did a great job, and the owner's son worked on the crew and directed them. Mickey also came by to oversee the project. We are very pleased.

When we had all the rains my driveway, which slopes down to the house flooded into my garage up to the house door, across the front and over my porch to my front door. My drive had a large crack down the middle and I knew it would have to be replaced eventually, but all this mess moved it up the priority list. Micky replaced the drive from the street to the garage, adding drains, running one to the back yard. He replaced the walkway and graded it to slope towards the drive and the drains, and added a beautiful granite to my front porch which raised it up 2". I should not have anymore drainage/flooding issues, and everything looks amazing! Mickey was professional and easy to work with, his crew cleaned up after themselves really well. I never would have thought I could get excited about concrete, but I do think it all looks beautiful!

Initially, my experience with this company was positive. The work was initially done Fall of 2013. The work was started and completed in a timely fashion. The work crew was respectful of myself and our property. The replacement of the back porch slab required several wood posts and cross post to be removed and subsequently replaced. I was quite pleased with the initial end results, especially the work done to replace the posts on the back porch. We have a swing gate across the end of the driveway. In the process, of pouring the drive and finishing out the work the electrical line to the one gate was cut. The cost of repairing the line was deducted from my final payment. At that point I was very please with the work. The problems began within 8 months after the work was completed as the driveway began to crack in many places, vertically and horizontally across the whole drive. The end of the drive is especially bad. In addition the back porch began to heave leaving a large gap between the threshhold to the back door and porch.. Sometime after the one year mark the back porch cracked across the middle in both vertically and horizontally directions At this point the back porch has risen approximately 2 1/2 inches. leaving a large enough gap as to see under the porch. In addition, the porch extention has also risen.. Both have risen unevenly which means the slabs are no longer level. This poses an added issue I have to watch as the covered porch is attached to the house so as the slab moves I have to make sure it doesn't begin pulling away from the house. . Also, the concrete on the drive is crumbling. I contacted the owner just before the one year mark (around September 2014). We spoke on the phone and he shared with me they had seen this on other jobs. He also shared that with the drought conditions and periodic rain fall the clay soil was going to swell. He did come out to the house to see for himself the issues. He spoke with my oldest son and basically told him the same thing. Regarding the gap in the threshold area he said he would have someone stop by and fill it in. I have never heard from the fellow again. From my perspective he didn't stand behind his work. One year old concrete shouId not be cracking and crumbling. I have had other folks who do concrete work come out. Their take is the ground was not properly preped and a substandard grade of concrete was most likely used. The consistent solution I have received is the two porch areas would need to be completely replaced and to leave the drive as is. Quite frankly, the situation with the backporch makes it look like I have foundation issues, but I don't as is documented by a reputable foundation company. The owner was a nice enough fellow, but the response to the situation and solutions offered were poor. My failing was not looking at more than one company and educating myself better on concrete work.

Rain-Rain- Might have completed sooner - we stayed in touch and when the weather cleared they were here pretty quick- Work completed in one day-non stop and they do start early- we are very pleased and will call Stephen again later for more work to be done-

Mickey Construction did an excellent job! They came at the time and on the day they said they would come; and they finished the job on the day they said they would finish. Mr Mickey responded to my initial contact on the same day that I called. He came the next day to give us a bid on the work. I had seen good reviews on Angie's List and felt that his bid was a competitive one. We established a day for the work to be done and his crew arrived at the time specified. The men were polite, competent, and professional and proceeded to work with no time wasted. They finished the job within the time that Mr. Mickey had given me and I was quite pleased with the finished product. I would certainly use the Mickey Construction Co. in the future and would recommend the company to my friends.

The old patio was designed poorly and held water against the home. Mickey and his team are skilled and knew exactly how to fix it. The work was all done in one day and the work is top notch. Water now drains away from the home, the finish is nice and they removed all of the old concrete and left the area in good shape when they left.

A day or so after I requested an estimate on replacing my driveway, a gentleman from the company came and provided a detailed, written estimate. He was very professional and seemed knowledgeable.

HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO PERFORM WORK DUE TO RAIN.

They were prompt and very professional. Took care of dealing with the city and the inspections. I forgot to tell them I wanted the leftover flagstone and they even made a special trip and brought it back to the property after all the job was done and we had already paid them. I would definitely use them again!

Mr. Mickey responded to my emails quickly and explained everything to me. He came out and measured everything and told me when he could do the work (it's been really rainy here). His team came out a few days later and took off the topsoil, built a mold, laid down some stuff, rebar, and then concrete to build a patio. It came out really great and I'm enjoying it. They cleaned up well. I recommended Mr. Mickey and will call him again when I need a new driveway.

I called Mickey to set up an estimate to pour a concrete floor in our garage. He called me back punctually, and asked some questions. He then told me he needed me to take down his email, since he was driving, and to email him my contact info so he could schedule an appointment. He then told me that it was way too far for him to drive, but, oh well, this time he'd make an exception. He then told me that he might be available to come the following Wednesday, but that he wasn't going to come until rush hour was over, because he wasn't going to waste his time sitting in traffic. At this point I told him that this clearly was going to be way too much of a hassle for him, and to forget it, I didn't want to inconvenience him. I've never had a service provider work so hard to tell me he didn't want my business.

Was able to come by and give bid and then work me into schedule in spite of rain. Driveway, walkway and stone patio removal, lay pvc conduit for sprinkler line, poured and dressed aggregate. Everything was cleaned up and they were gone by 5:30 the same afternoon. The work started early at 7:00 am but we were told that ahead of time and also we got our cars out of the garage and onto the street because you cannot drive on the drive for 3 days so plan ahead.

Very professional. Handled all of the permits and licensing from the city. Work performed quickly - 3 days total for this major project. When the city had not picked up cones and lane closure barricades when the work was completed on Friday, I called Mickey Construction and they contacted the city of dallas at about 4pm on a Friday and had the barricades and cones picked up that day to help ensure my neighbors wouldnt complain. Would definitely recommend them for concrete work.

Fantastic! You won't be able to find better. Their price was lowest and the quality of their work could not be better. They did not want to rush the job by pouring concrete that might get wet, but they showed up early on the first day after the rain stopped. Patio and sidewalk are perfect. They did a thorough job cleaning up afterwards. Beautiful work and they were so easy to work with.
