MICKEY CONSTRUCTION

Left several voice messages, at least 4 messages over a period of about a month. In addition, called several times and the outgoing message said-the mailbox is full and not accepting messages. Then I decided to send emails. One or two emails over next weeks. Heard no response. We decided to make a decision on our project. The next morning he called and I explained we had already made a decision. It was frustrating since we had delayed our decision waiting to see what solution they could offer. They may be good but we’ll never know.

My driveway was replaced a year & 2 mos ago. This is my 3rd review of Mickey Construction. Stephen Mickey was informative & professional & took the time to explain the phases the job would go thru. Even after the job was complete, I could call Mickey & get my questions answered.

MICKEY was timely & informative about how the phases the job would go thru. Any questions I had even after he was complete was answered promptly & professionally.

It went well throughout the process. Stephen Mickey showed to give me estimates for either partial repair or complete redo. I decided to go with total redo. Price was a little less than another bid from other contractor. They showed up 7 am sharp on day of work. Very cold day but no rain. Crew worked steady all morning demolishing old and then laying down rebar. Then the concrete. Cleaned up real good afterwards. We let it dry for about 3 days. It looks great. They did a good job.

Great work and fair pricing. The quality of work is second to none. Would definitely hire again.

I interviewed four other contractors before Mickey Construction, but Stephen Mickey's professional confidence won him the bid. He was able to solve a known structural obstacle that other contractors could not or would not tackle. Stephen's management style is fluid as he moves from job to job and works through weather delays and other unforeseen snags, but he always kept me informed and was responsive to all my phone inquiries. My final payment was the original bid amount with no surprises. His team was respectful of me and my property throughout. My garage is still standing and my driveway looks great! I highly recommend Mickey Construction.

Terrible. My mother-in-law recommended this company because she used them for her driveway. I first tried to contact through website, got no response. The used the number MIL gave me. Called twice and left messages. When I didn't hear back from anyone, MIL sent the guy a message. He then called me the next day and said he would come out within a few days to do an estimate and get back to me. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything. Why am I having to chase a business down to give them my money?

He's great. He's done a lot of concrete work for me. There were a lot of small things that needed to be done. I would grade him "A" on everything. I think he's a super guy. He's very, very busy. It's hard to get him. If I've got any concrete work or any foundation work, or something like that, he's the first I call. I would use him again. Mickey does what he says. I guess that's the best way to put it. He's reasonable in price. He's just a very busy person. One thing you have to do with him is be patient, but the quality of his work is great. It's well worth the wait in my opinion.

Workers were on time and ready to go early. All work was finished in one day. The demolition of the patio destroyed the grass and sprinkler systems, all of which I was informed of during the initial quote. The quote was inline with the other 5 quotes I received. The quote was not the highest or lowest but was on the lower end. There was some mess left over, concrete splash on walls and A/C, overflow of concrete near plumbing clean outs, etc. However, the price and quality of concrete work done far exceeds any inconvenience of dirty walls and A/C. I have had other contractors comment on the professionalism of the completed work. I will absolutely have Mickey Construction replace our driveway when the time comes.

Excellent experience working with Stephen and Mickey Construction. Very knowledgeable, down to earth, and personable. All of the work was performed perfectly and on time. Very well. Work was done in a timely manner. They cleaned up after they were done and left instructions on how to properly cure concrete.

Stephen and his crew were on time, addressed my concerns, offered solutions and delivered a quality product. Other companies estimated considerately more time and money. I would highly recommend using Mickey Concrete for any concrete needs. We love our new patio and had a great experience with this company

The workers arrive at exactly the time promised and immediately began the work which was completed at the end of the day . They picked up all debris and carted it away . I rated them a B because I thought Mickey should spend more time with the customer on his first visit and write down what the agreement is and how the Angie's List discount is applied . In other word , let the customer see you are taking notes as he explains what he is asking you to do .

Went fairly well despite discovered broken drain pipe from house to city sewer line that needed to be fixed and was. Drain pipe delayed to get galvanized, so needs to come back to complete job and cover areas where dirt is needed.

After a slight delay getting a quote for our driveway from Mickey's Construction, we are really pleased with how it turned out. Mr. Mickey was prompt with the meeting time to measure our driveway and also prompt on the day the project started. His crew did a good job removing our old driveway and prepping for the concrete one. He and his crew cleaned everything up and hauled the previous asphalt away. We would use this company again and recommend Mickey's Construction if asked.

The job was completed on the day scheduled. It was done well and as quoted.

The guy came out for the estimate and only talked to me for 4 mins. He said he would provide an estimate in a few days and he never did. I sort of knew he wouldn't give an estimate because I've never heard of a guy not being able to give an estimate on the spot especially for such a easy/routine item. If he didn't want to give an estimate for the work he could have just told me or handled it more professionally. I know it wasn't the biggest job in the world, but he could have been more professional about it and not wasted my time.

It went ok, a very busy group but Mickey was always quick to respond. Had to do quote mostly based on pictures I took due to a short time period to get it done and their schedule. Was selling the house and it was on the buyer's house inspection. It wasn't a lot to repair so the cost buying the bag of mix was probably most of my cost. They did a good job from what I could tell though.

Mickey and his team did a great job. They walked us through the concerns we had and explained the process. The work looks good.

Excellent work from start to finish: * Immediate response with a reasonable quote provided within a business day. * Clear communication using both phone calls and e-mail. * Prompt scheduling and execution and everything done exactly as promised, if not better. (Rebar for better quality than what we used to have). * Obviously owner-operated family business with a very professional, courteous, and efficient crew.

Everything went great! From responsiveness to initial inquiry to quote to additional questions to ok to proceed to final execution of project. All went perfectly!

Great, Mickey, his son and crew were great. It started with Mickey coming and giving estimate on time and as agreed. He was very factual and gave very good bid. No pressure sale, very detailed and explained what would be done. Date was established and they showed up on time at 7AM and started to work. As we encountered challenge with drainage solution, Mickey's son was there to provide quick solution. Work completed same day with good clean-up. Mickey's son returned next day to check work and went extra mile to do over and beyond cleanup. I cannot say enough about the honesty, fairness and reliability of their work. Very high integrity.

I spoke to the owner on the phone, explained the project and set an appointment. He never showed up or contacted me again.
