Work was just finished. We are very pleased. They had an extreme attention to detail. Polite, professional. Having not done a driveway before, I don't know if this is common, but they replaced dirt along side the driveway. Job very well done. If we have other work to be done, will definitely call them again.

Stephen provided one of three competitive quotes that I obtained for this project. He was the most responsive and most competitive bid that I received making the selection process relatively easy. In short, I wish all contractors were as professional, responsive, competitive, and communicative as Stephen. The work was performed as promised, when promised, with no surprises. The crew was extremely experienced, hard working, and professional. The new driveway looks amazing and was completed in only two days. More importantly, the crew completely cleaned the construction site leaving no mess at all behind. Stephen personally spent significant time on site to ensure everything went smoothly - not that it was necessary as the crew as awesome. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. We can definitley highly recommend Mickey Construction.

Steve was very clear regarding the scope of the work and the dates the work would be performed. I used to be in the concrete business when I was in my 20's, so I know what it takes to do a good job. The crew's work was fantastic, and Steve was around to make sure everything was going well. Once the work was completed, the crew did an excellent job cleaning up the worksite. I had obtained one other bid, and it was over $40,000. Steve's work was 1/2 the price.

We met with Stephen Mickey to show him what we wanted and he gave us an estimate. We were happy with that, but did have a couple of adjustments which Stephen agreed to without increasing the cost. We told him to go ahead and then there was a big delay with the city causing the problems by not issuing the permits in a timely fashion. Once they were able to proceed they prepared in one day and poured the next to give us 12' x 52' driveway. They were a pleasure to work with and responsive any time we had questions.

I talked with Mickey several times before his men actually came. He was always very friendly. We set a date for him to come do my driveway (in front of the house). His team was on time and went right to work. It was actually very interesting to watch them! But they completed the job very well and cleaned up everything before they left. I didn't have to do anything in terms of cleaning - which I really appreciated. Very few leave all cleaned up when they leave. But Mickey was very quick to tell me when I would be able to use the driveway and told me if I had any problems in the future with anything at all, to call him and he would make it right. I really appreciated his professionalism and courtesy to me. All in all....a great service, great work done, and great help! I would not hesitate for even a second to recommend Mickey.

Mickey was fantastic to work with. He helped us narrow down exactly what we really wanted to do, especially with working with our budget. He and his team were very professional, dealing well with some tricky scheduling issues (mostly due to uncooperative weather).

Mickey was great to work with. I called him, he went out to look at the property, called me with the bid and then emailed me a copy for my records. The finished concrete looks great. The owner was great to work with, very professional and I felt very comfortable working with him even though we had never met. Mickey Construction was recommended to me by another happy customer and I given his contact info to a few others. I don't have a comparison on price as Mickey was the only company I called but even if it wasn't the lowest price I could have been quoted I will use him again just because of the great experience

They did a good job and they knew what they were doing. It took them about 2 days. The quality looks good. He does run the company phone number with his cell phone, so sometimes it was hard to reach him.

All work done in a professional manner. Demoed one day, built forms, poured concrete and cleaned up the next. We walked on the new concrete the third day. Mickey was very conscious of weather conditions. Postponed start so that it was not raining, freezing overnight, or the ground was too wet to work. He explained this would provide best long term quality. He explained each part of the job as it was being done. Very quick to response to any question I had. Would have him any do any concrete work. Would be glad to show anyone the quality of his work. He also handled all the permits required by the city of Dallas.

Did a great job for a fair price!

All was going well until it started raining as the cement pour was almost completed. The job was quickly covered until the rain let up. The crew did a fantastic job in finishing out the job - you could tell they really knew what they were doing. I had some concerns at first but now that it has been several weeks, I am pleased with the outcome. So for the job itself, I am satisfied. They did attempt to clean up after the job however, I had to remove several pieces of cement left where the forms had been. Had to replace one sprinkler head that had been broken by a worker. Over the next several days I spent time removing cement from the redwood 1x4's in order to stain them. Also the garage door was splattered with cement from the poor and spent 4+ hours carefully scraping the cement off and cleaning. I was careful not to scrape paint off so I didn't have to repaint the garage door. So as I said, the job itself was very professional, just wish the crew had been more careful in protecting the area. Lastly, you will have to be patient with communications - as they appear to be in high demand and sometimes getting a response is slow to come. Overall - the main thing was the job being done right and so far, very pleased with the work. After 30 days of curing I plan to have it sealed.

Stephen and his crew were fantastic! I had scheduling problems but Stephen was more than willing to be patient and work around my schedule. When he arrived to do the job he was on time and very efficient. Stephen was on site for much of the job, however I hardly think it was necessary as he had a great crew who knew exactly what to do. I had other proposals but after talking with Stephen I felt he was honest with me as to what needed to be done and what didn't. Being a woman dealing with contractors I've been given all sorts of expensive advice that was not necessary. Stephen did not fall into the category of contractors who treat women as though they haven't got a brain to think for themselves.

Mickey was able to come measure and provide a solid estimate a couple of days after I contacted him by phone. His price was competitive to others I had spoken with. He was clearly capable and interested in performing the work which. This lead to our decision to give the project to him. He gave us a target installation date pending weather conditions. He was able to install the pavement ahead of that schedule. His team arrived and got right to work removing the pavestone, preping the space, pouring the slab and wrapping up with the brush finish and edge forming. We were given clear instructions on the curing timeline.

He was so efficient with scheduling. Coordination from the crew tearing up the driveway to the crew hauling it off to the person pouring the new was phenomenal. They did an outstanding job!

We had three bids for removing and replacing our driveway and walkway to the house. Mickey's bid was in the middle and we decided, after meeting Mr. Mickey, to go with him. He was very nice to work with and addressed our needs and concerns. His crew was unbelievably professional and we were amazed at the ease with which the old concrete was removed and boxed in the new work. The removal and boxing of the new concrete took one day. The pouring of the concrete was done the day after. We cannot say enough about this company. We have had so many compliments including neighbors asking us who did the work. We would recommend this company as first rate. So happy we checked Angie's List.

I initially telephoned and left a voice mail message with the contractor on June 9, 2014 requesting his services for a quotation for concrete work. I also mentioned in my voice message that I was an Angie's list member I never received a returned phone call. I telephoned the contractor again on October 1, 2014 and again left a detailed phone message similar to the one I left in June. I received a return voice message from the contractor about a week later. I promptly returned the call and again left a voice message. To date no return phone call. Obviously the contractor does not need the business.

We did not utilize his services due to the TWO WEEK response time and the fact that his bid was a THOUSAND dollars more.

The patio looks even better than we had expected--a beautiful flagstone pattern. The garage floor seems exactly as designed, including new stairs that provide easier access from the garage to our home. Mr. Mickey provided valuable guidance as we designed the project. His suggestions helped us work through our uncertainties in determining exactly what would work best. His crew was extremely competent and easy to deal with. The finished product justified our choosing his company for this work.

Stephen was able to schedule a meeting within a few days of contact We discussed the job and he provided a quote the following week. The quote was more than some quotes that I received, but his ratings and his demeanor convinced me that he was the right man for the job. Weather delays in July postponed the job a week but when the day came for the job, his crew was there by 7am and gone by 2pm. Stephen arrived shortly after the crew but it was obvious that his crew knew their business and were awaiting just a little direction to proceed with the demo. Stephen took care of everything including the permit and the inspection. The concrete work in exceptional and his A rating is certainly well deserved.

His estimate was great. He was very patient with our changes and additions to the job. Crew arrived on scheduled date. They did all the tear out work and setting up of forms in one day. They arrived again with the concrete trucks and did all the rest of the work in the second day. They were amazingly efficient and organized. We did have to wait our turn. He keeps very busy. It was worth the wait.

Stephen Mickey came out promptly and gave me a reasonable estimate for the work to be performed. Because the gated entrance was badly deteriorated I need the work done ASAP. He rearranged his schedule to fit in the project. His crew was on-time and did a great job on the concrete. He even honored a coupon I had for the work! They cleaned up the area well and were generally professional in all my contacts with them. I would highly recommend his services and will use this company again in the future.

Stephen Mickey is a very cool guy who took care of a lot of the planning, the survey, the permit, and maintains a very loyal crew who do great work. The finished cement is curing very nicely, and I find myself sitting and staring at it now.

It went as well as it possibly could! We were in Switzerland when the job was completed, and all went very well. He did a perfect job, and everyone was very pleased! One side note, the county was doing the alley behind the house at the time we wanted to get the job done. Mickey went ahead and got the permit and waited until they were done. When the alley was done, turns out the county did the apron to the driveway, so he called us and told us he would lower the cost! We would not have known the difference, as we were in Switzerland. We really appreciated his honesty, and the excellent job he did. We recommend him highly!
