MAVERICK ROOFING

I had an excellent experience with Maverick Roofing. They offered to replace my roof for me, working with my insurance company, with no money out of my pocket unless I wanted to upgrade the shingles used. They were very accommodating with respect to the wording of their contract (I had a few changes I wanted to make) and their scheduling. They were very responsive to all my requests, whether for references, for more information on what needed to be done or for more information on shingle choices. They worked closely with my insurance company and took care of all the details of the claim for me. I did decide to upgrade to the hail-resistant shingles, so the total cost out of my pocket was only the cost of the upgrade. Before the actual installation, they requested access to my attic and spread plastic to catch all the debris that they knew would be falling during the replacement of the original cedar shingles. Their men showed up on time on the first day of installation and got straight to work. The work was completed on time, although the weather delayed the clean-up by a day. However, they came right back out and made sure the yard was spotless, then went back into the attic and made sure all debris was cleared away. During the installation, some material slid off the roof and damaged a couple of landscaping lights in my front flower-bed. They brought this to my attention and offered to purchase replacements and install them for me at no cost to me. They also replaced some guttering that needed to be replaced at no additional cost to me. I found them to be very professional, very friendly and very reliable. I would recommend them to anyone in the Dallas area contemplating a new roof or roof repairs.

Hail damage from early 2008 resulted in my house(and most in the neighborhood)needing a new roof. We got a couple of estimates, but decided on Maverick Roofing because they had done a good job on my neighbors home. The estimate seemed fair and Dave, the owner, seemed knowledgeable, detailed, trustworthy, and is a very likable guy. The work was excellent and was finished in a reasonable amount of time. The challenge working with Dave was that he seemed unorganized. He didn't have a good systems to manage paperwork and follow up with customers, which caused difficulty getting the claim closed out with the insurance company and created some frustration for me. As far as roofs go though, I think we now have one of the nicest ones in the neighborhood.
