As good as it could.
Description of Work: She helped my wife with a triple move. We had an apartment, storage and a new house. She was a big help advising and assisting my wife with details of moving a large household that had been in existence for over 35 years. Very difficult situation. Excellent work and she is is wonderful person to boot.

NOTE: CLIENT DID NOT USE OUR SERVICES BUT DID CALL US BREIFLY It is our goal at Get Organized! that when given the opportunity to provide a service, that we meet and exceed the expectations of our clients. We have policies in place to not only give the client the most positive, life-changing experience possible, but also to protect the health and welfare of our organizers. In this case, [Member Name Removed] purchased a consultation online to have our company meet with her about garage organization. I, (owner, Lorraine Brock) replied to her query quickly and explained that due to the extreme heat of our Texas summers, we do not have our organizers work in garages during the hot Texas months. I told her that most organizing companies do not work in extreme heat, but that I would be happy to schedule the work in the fall. If however she wanted the work done immediately, she could request a refund through Angie’s List, and look for another company to assistance. At the end of the conversation I felt that the client understood and although disappointed, would pursue the refund option. I did check back and the client received her refund. The notice of the poor review came as a surprise. I felt like I responded quickly and professionally to her query and spoke fairly about our company and policies. Not all clients can be a perfect match in all areas, but in this case it was based on very little interaction and certainly not on quality of service. The client mentioned that we do not do anything in the summer. This is a misstatement, as we provide daily services to clients all over DFW during the summer months outside of garages, attics and storage units with no air-conditioning. It would not be a healthy situation for our organizers or the clients who many times work side-by-side with us for hours at a time. We would be pleased to speak with [Member Name Removed] to discuss options to fulfill her organizing needs and ask that she contact us at her convenience.

Description of Work: Two ladies helped us sort everything in our garage. We were surprised that they needed us to install a wall bin that initially seemed part of their repertoire. They worked quickly and thoroughly, labeling boxes of liked items. By the end of our day it appeared that the assistant's goal was to get more into the trash can than anywhere else.

Get Organized! was honored to help Mr. Nixon with his garage organization and was excited to see that in his review of us he would hire us again. Mr. Nixon’s garage was essentially a two day job due to the density of the clutter, however, his budget allowed for only one work day. Our organizers worked hard to accomplish what we could in the time allotted. The wall bin installation was a challenge for our organizer, but when Mr. Nixon offered to assist, the organizer worked on another area of the space. The install would have been completed, but teamwork allowed us to finish more work. Our mission is to give the client 100% of the say in what to purge and what to keep, however, with most of our clients we challenge them to reduce unnecessary items to maximize space. We try to find the right balance with each of our clients when deciding on what is kept and what is donated, recycled, or trashed. Our goal is always to make our clients excited about their results. We do look forward to working with Mr. Nixon again in the near future.

Our goal for our clients is always an “A” rating for every category. When we receive anything less, we contact our clients to see what we can do to make their experience an “A”. We contacted [removed member name] on 6/26/2014 to discuss her review of our services. After talking with her for a few minutes, we realized she was unware that we do offer services after the consult to do the physical work we suggested. Get Organized! offers a two hour consultation which takes place before any physical work is scheduled. In the case of Mrs. [removed member name], we met for the consultation which included coaching with her son. Once the consultation was completed, Get Organized! emailed the client with more information, but never received contact to do any physical work. We take full responsibility for a breakdown in communication on the definition of our consult and the full range of our services. As mentioned, we have contacted the client and she is now aware that not only do we coach, but we are fully prepared to do the work as well.

We've had Sarah & Tracy (dynamic duo)to our home on three separate occasions and they were able to cull, rearrange and organize specific spaces to make them user friendly and accessible. They are accommodating. The only thing is that I accidentally got rid of an antique doll that I have. (which was my fault) They really helped me out and were very nice.

He did not help me get organized at all. They came in and it took too long. They spent hours and hours and they couldn't even put the painting up. It was a horrible experience. They charged me a lot of money and they didn't get anything done. It was the worst experience of my life. I spent $200 or $300 and got like 2 pictures put up. I had to make them leave because they were wasting too much time. It wasn't worth it for the price they charged.

In response to Member’s comments; Member had scheduled a 2 hour consultation with us for organizing in which we arrived on-time. We went through his entire home suggesting products that would maximize his space and explained in detail of what we would do to organize his home. He and his two female occupants were excited at our ideas and stressed how important it was to start the next day as he, “Wanted it done”. They loved our ideas so much so that they asked us to come back the very next day. Before we left however we worked with Member to create him a shopping list for him to go shopping right after we left. We needed the shopping completed in order to have all the supplies for organizing his home upon our arrival the next day. Member asked repeatedly if we could do the shopping right then but we already had other appointments; we could tell he was excited to get started. Member agreed to have the items or at least most of them for our return visit the next day. The next day the two organizers arrived again on time. However Member had no supplies to start the project nor had he called us to reschedule; thus the project had to switch gears, from organizing being the primary need to hanging pictures. The two organizers then started to locate pictures/artwork and begin deciding placement in the home. Once placement was found organizers begin hanging them. One of the larger pieces was a huge heavy mirror that we did experience trouble hanging due to various reasons. I will add that one of our organizers became extremely uncomfortable with being in Member’s home on the second visit. So uncomfortable that she quit her employment with us. After our second visit with Member’s and his two female occupants the organizer that quit over this job observed inappropriate behavior between Member and one of the females living in the home. Along with the action that she witnessed right in front of her, Member stood watching and observing the organizers the entire time they were working. As you can image taking the environment and what they had just witnessed into consideration this made hanging anything and the rest of the job almost impossible and very uncomfortable. Having their backs turned towards Member while hanging this large piece placed them in a less than confident position. We were scheduled at his home for 8 hours and only worked 2 but we only charged Member for one hour. The reason we had to leave early (per conversation) was because Member did not have any shopping done for us to get his specific organizing needs even started much less completed. Without those supplies there was not 8 hours of work to be done. Member should have rescheduled with us knowing this. Addressing the $200-$300 Member spent on our services. The consultation (that went so well that he scheduled a day) with us cost $150. The additional charges that were billed were, 1 hour (for 2 hours) of work, hardware and mileage cost. We felt it fair to not bill Member for the hour we attempted to hang the rather large and heavy mirror. Our policy was stated and sent to Member in advance of the initial consultation. In that correspondence it mentions that there was a 5 hour minimum for each day that was booked. However

There were two organizers (Kate and Lisa) arrived even a little early which was great. Got started right away, worked for 8 hrs with only a 15 min break. Worked very hard.

It went very well. They sorted everything down to the last screw in the garage and notion in the sewing room, labeling each bin and drawer! I liked the fact that they could sort through most everything without my assistance and give me small to-do's as needed.

They charged $75 an hour for few people. The service went very well. They were extremely hard working, helpful and did an immense job. They did it quickly and efficiently and did it very well. I would use their services again in the future.

Although I initiated the service, I kept telling them that this almost felt like an intervention. This was by far one of the most rewarding 'gifts' I could ever have given myself. I can't tell you how good it feels to know that everything has a place and that everything is put away - to be easily found when needed. And not once did Lorraine or her team make me feel like I needed an intervention. They were very calm and methodical.
Description of Work: Within the last two years both of my parents passed away. So on top of the fact that I tend to be messy and cluttered, my house was now full of an entire other household of 'stuff.' Lorraine and Angela came to my house and walked through every inch with me and provided me with a plan and an estimate of what they could do. Lorraine sent a detailed email in advance of my appointment with items that I would need to purchase or have on hand. Not only did she send this list but also suggested where I might find the items and best pricing. Two organizers came to my house exactly on time and ready for us to get to work. Lorraine had prepared me to be a bit overwhelmed but I was so ready to get rid of the chaos. The three of us worked for the next two days and organized all of my closets, drawers, etc. We purged a lot of things and arranged for a local charity to pick everything up. Now that my house is organized, I can't imagine how I ever lived before. Get Organized made it easy.

I first have to comment on the professionalism of the company owner, Lorraine. She always checked each week to make sure I was pleased and the project was moving within my time frame. Any items that were donated were recorded by the Get Organized team so I would have a complete record at tax time. I have a detailed invoice at the end of each week with every detail included. Renee and Alyce have worked within my home and respected the fact that I work from home sometimes 12-15 hours a day. They planned time within my work day for questions and planning for the next day. They also ensured that I knew what had been accomplished for the day and that they were on plan. I have worked with a group of organizers in the past and felt absolutely violated by having to hold down a demanding job and constantly keep the prior organizers on task. This was not the case with Renee and Alyce. They always respected my time and my space. They kept focused on what was important to me. They worked so hard and quckly that I was always amazed at the end of an organizing day at how much they had accomplished. These ladies work hard and fast. Not only are the organinzing skills of this team excellent but they re-hung paintings and wall art and helped me freshen and decorate my home. Their space planning for rearranging my furniture has opened my home up and given it a much more spacious feel. My storage room has now been transformed into my Tranquility Room. Items that I already owned were refurbished and repurposed in ways that have amazed me. This team works miracles. And my long neglected paper work has been handled with respect for my privacy and with great discretion. Renee is remarkable and I am so comfortable wlth Renee handing sensivtive documents. My entire life had spiraled out of control due to an impossble work schedule and family deaths and my own handicap. My home and my life has now been transformed into what it used to be before the years took their toll only better.
Description of Work: Lorraine Brock, the owner of Get Organized! came to my home with two team members that she thought would be right for my needs. We had previously corresponded by phone and email so she could get a feel for my personality and needs. I needed everything in my 2165 sq ft house packed up and safely moved to a staging area to make my home ready for all the walls to be painted and new carpeting installed throughtout. I had 40 years of priceless items in china cabinets, wall art, and full hutches along with an overwhelming quanity of of paperwork that needed to be put into like categories to prepare my house for the workmen. Renee and Alyce showed up on time and worked tirlessly to get me ready to meet my painter's deadline.Everything in my home was packed up with great care and with an eye for a peaceful and pleasing replacement once the painting and carpeting was complete. I had one entire room that had been used for nothing but a catch-all and storage for over 10 years. They got me ready on time. They are continuing to unpack and help me donate items and ready my home for an out of town guest.
