Their technician called me and said that I there were sparks flying from inside the furnace when he turned it on and it could be a fire hazard and that I needed to get it repaired right away. He gave me a very expensive price to fix it and kept saying it was a fire hazard and very dangerous. Little did he know that my tenant who was there at the time, used to be in the HVAC business and he told me that the furnaces always emit a small spark when they start like this and said what the guy told me was not true. I declined his repairs of course and would not recommend this company to anyone. Trying to use a scare tactic as they knew I lived out-of-state and were trying to pull one over on me.

My home is only a few years old but I was told I needed a $866.00 compressor replacement and my AC flushed with something akin to fix-a-flat. (SCAM!) Shortly after this "service", my AC which had been performing just fine completely failed in the middle of the night and Earthwise charged me $291 for an emergency service call even though they were unable to figure out what was wrong and it started working again by itself. My AC failed a second time and this time they sent out a more tenured engineer that found the root cause was that the first engineer didn't clean the outside unit. After many phone calls with the company owner, I was able to get a refund of the $291 emergency service fee, but even that took TWO MONTHS to resolve. I highly recommend avoiding this company and "Frymire Services Inc" as well. (again, these are the same company)

Met my expectations. Pricey

Robert the head plumber was kind of a jerk and got mad when we didn't automatically agree to schedule thousands of dollars of work. His helper Bobby seemed nice. Robert didn't wear shoe covers in the house while Bobby did. They sent a camera down the line, but didn't snake it, so we ended up with a worse problem than before they came. The next plumber who came accurately diagnosed the problem, snaked the line, and gave us some options of how to fix things long-term. UPDATE 5-11-2017 This is actually an update to the previous review left in early March. Now, Earthwise continues to call to offer follow-up services, despite being asked to put us on their do-not-call list. Beware! These people are pests on top of being unprofessional. Not well. Lots of unsolicited sales calls despite being asked to be placed on the do-not-call list - repeatedly.
