 + -1 moreArrival at 8:20 am for an 8:30 appointment - I heard them arrive but not knock. They were already prepping the inside unit before they were going to knock on my door. Everyone knew their role to play - no one was ever standing around. They laid drop cloth everywhere they worked. The work was quiet. Very little chit chat, no radios, no smoking. At one point they got very quiet - one of them went for pizza and brought it back for their lunch. They offered me to join them. Each time I looked, something else was evidencing their progress. At 2 PM the house was empty of the crew, vacuumed, no trace of installers anywhere except the guy who was waiting to show me how to operate the thermostat from my cell phone.
Description of Work: Replace HVAC system from the thermostat out to the outside unit.

 + -1 moreGreat!!!! Gary is wonderful. He came over right away to assess my existing A/C system and offer different replacement options. He gave a lot of insight on how the 14.5 SEER RHEEM system was the right price/efficiency trade-off compared to a 16 SEER system which another contractor was pushing for me. Gary's crew took about 4 hours to change out the system. They were fast, clean, efficient, cleaned-up at the end, and I am very happy with the equipment and the service. I would definetly recommend Gary's Dand D Service company to anyone in the Dallas/Richardson/Plano area.
Description of Work: Replace my old home A/C system with a brand new 14.5 SEER system.

Description of Work: Gary and Dennis have worked for us in the past both on installation of new as well as servicing old equipment . On every occasion they did excellent work, provided us with information and choices to make the best decision when applicable . Very knowledgeable , honest , and fair on pricing. If I ever have A/C or heating issues they will be the first phone call I make.

 + -1 moreI stated that we should not have to pay for the colateral damage that occurred because the equipment failed under warranty. He also siad that it was his house and it was not his problem. Gary said he did not force us to do business with him.
Description of Work: Gary sold the Ruud as the best Aironcdiitonner/Heater and so we purchased it. He Installed a 14.5 seer 3 ton condenser in March 2011 and it failed quickly under warranty. Gary told us the coils that failed were covered under the warranty but the freon that leaked because of the failed coils was not covered and he needed to charge us $600.00.

 + -1 moreWhen we bought our house 8 years ago there was a Dean A/C sticker on the outside unit so when we had a problem that is who we called. They have maintained our A/C ever since and we couldn't be more pleased. They are prompt, courteos and priced competitively. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: A/C was not cooling. They cleaned the outside unit and I think serviced some freon and checked for leaks. It's been 7 months so I don't recall everything they did.

Description of Work: My AC went down yesterday, on Labor Day, of course, and I I talked to some friends from church, and they recommended Mr. Gary Kinsey and D&D Service. It seems he is the go-to guy for AC problems at our church.I spoke to Mr Kinsey and he dropped everything he was doing to come out to my house and check on my AC, especially since I am a truck driver and am usually out on the road. My schedule makes it very difficult to schedule appointments of any kind.Mr Kinsey found the problem, it was a bad fan motor, and was able to replace it on the same day, at what I think was a very reasonable price, especially on a holiday.I would recommend Mr Kinsey and D&D Service to anyone and would like to say that with his quick response and professional attitude he has made a lifelong customer with me.

 + -1 moreAfter his initial visit, the A/C in the house was working just fine for a couple days, then it started blowing hot air again. He then came out again and said he found a low pressure switch that he was able to bypass that is typically used to stop the unit from over heating in case of low coolant. Soon after, the unit stopped working again. I then called my regular A/C service company. They found that the thermostat was loose from the wall and also there was a short in the breaker box. These were the main problems with the A/C system, not necessarily any issues involving the fan or coolant, both services that I paid for. I reached out to D and D Service Heating and Air Conditioning about these issues and they have not gotten back over the past month.
Description of Work: They came to repair what I thought was a broken A/C unit because it was only blowing out hot air. The service technician first replaced the fan in the attic, which seemed to be working just fine. He also added two pounds of coolant to the unit.
