I called Dan, at D&T Plumbing (he also designs bath and kitchen plumbing for new houses), after my tub handle fell off and water was pouring gallons of water, uncontrollably from the faucet. Dan and his retired cop brother came within about a half an hour. I bought a Kohler tub set assigned, for example, 123798362, and instead was sent Kohler tub set 781237989 (I advice you do not buy Kohler anything). And the 781237989 Kohler tub set had a wrong piece in the box. And that’s why the handle fell off. Dan and his brother sat at my kitchen table for an hour talking to Kohler about getting replacement parts. The parts were sent, but one part worked and the other had nothing to do with my handle. Again, stay away from Kohler. Dan came back and worked several hours on the handle, trying to figure out what parts he had that worked together. Ta-Da. He fixed it. He is a very pleasant man, committed to his work and getting it done right, no matter how long it takes. He is one of the few people who actually likes his job. His price is not bargain basement, nor outrageously high. He asks for what he worked for.

Dan was referred to me by several neigbors who have hired him for their plumbing jobs. He arrived promptly and I showed him the work that needed to be done. He gave me a rough idea of the cost, but as to the unknowns.....like the reason for the sink leak or the reason the toilet wouldn't flush properly, he explained what the possible problems could be and estimated the cost to repair based on a couple of different scenarios. The cost of service listed above included most of the parts and materials, but I provided the new shower valve and trim and toilet seat. His fees ended up being less than the estimate because the leaky sink and toilet problems weren't as bad as they could have been. I found him to be very knowledgeable, dependable, and trustworthy. He is very particular about his work and wanted me to be happy with the results. I was very happy with Dan's work and will definitely use him for all of my future plumbing needs.
