They arrived at 6:00 AM and got right to work taking off all the shingles. They then started putting new felt and shingles on. It was 106 degrees outside while they were doing all the work. They cleaned up as they worked. They came off the roof about 5:30 PM to clean up the nails/shingles. They were back early the next morning and finished about 3 hours later. All cleaned up.

This was primarily damage from a April 2011 hail storm. We contracted with Coxco in late September, the work was done mainly in November-December and completed in January. The process was not completely finalized until April 2012, mainly as a result of issues with the insurance company over a roof supplement due to the roof pitch. John and company were patient as the process wore on and the insurance company drew things out...... This was a difficult review to write and I should not have waited so long. John Cox is a knowledgeable, personable professional who we really liked. John has a lot of experience and was able to make suggestions and give us the benefit of his years of experience. And there are lot of things that Coxco does right. The roofers did a very nice job and their paint foreman, Jesse, does very good work and is professional. In my opinion, there are some things that they can do better. Often they worked too long, into the dark of night, which resulted in some noise problems and work quality issues. Some of their crews did not clean up after themselves very well, especially the roofers/gutterers and outside painters. And I thought that some of the pricing was on the high side..... After a storm subsequent to the repairs being completed, we did have a couple of relatively small interior leaks that stained the ceilings in two rooms. One clearly resulted from work completed by Coxco. Not wanting to be unreasonable, I indicated that I would take care of painting the ceilings, if they could let me know the color used previously. In any event, John did stop by and sprayed some Kilz on the spots, but never has responded to a couple of requests for the ceiling color...... All in all, the long process was relatively pain free, and we may consider using Coxco again.

They did such a good job. We were very impressed with their service. The city inspector said he was very pleased with their work. If I needed roofing services, they'd be my first call.

Flooring: Overall an above average job. Some promised caulking was turned down.Siding: Quality was great. Unfortunately when the workers were removing the old siding, window ledges were loosened, shelving was knocked down. Some holes were fixed others went unrepaired.Roof: Quality of the installation was excellent, unfortunately it appears that the installers had the impression that the gutters were to be replaced as well. When the old roofing was removed the gutters were removed as well. I pointed out the gutters on the front lawn. The workers put the gutters back, however they are largely bent and a stop at the end of a gutter in front of my house is missing rendering the gutters useless. Promises were made to patch the holes where the closet shelving had fallen, to repair the gutter, and to remove the lockbox from the front door have gone unfulfilled. To the plus side Coxco came into a situation which was already messed up by a previous worker and they did an excellent job of working with the insurance company.

.Mr. Cox worked with me and the insurance adjustor to set up the contractors to do the various jobs. He always showed up when he was scheduled, made sure his workers also were on time and did qualilty work. He told me what to expect, when it would be completed, etc. All the work is excellent and looks like new.

After locating them on Angie's List, I contacted COXCO and asked for an assessment of our home's roof. An appointment was made. Don called to confirm, then called again on the day he was coming out. Don got on the roof to examine it; was convinced the insurance company would cover a complete replacement. I called my insurer and asked that they send a claims agent to see if our roof was damaged enough to warrant a replacement covered by insurance. Don said he would come, too, just in case the claims guy might disagree with Don's findings. Claims agent came, verified Don's findings, did the paperwork, wrote me a check for part of the coverage, told me to have it fixed. I'd get a second check for the remainder after I'd signed off on the work. I arranged a time for Don to come to the house when my wife would be available so we could talk about the type of shingle to use and the color. Don was very low pressure. He didn't sell us anything; he let us buy what we wanted, offering his opinions only when we asked for them. Very nice. Worked with Don to schedule the work around my and my wife's schedules. He estimated that the work would take only one day. Once we agreed on a date, COXCO's crew arrived early on the morning the work was to begin and got started almost immediately. Only took them a few hours to remove the existing shingles. (Our home is a small, single-story rectangle; no strange angles or high slopes.) Took maybe four hours or so to lay down the new shingles and all that goes with installing a new roof. The crew was very professional and had obviously worked together before; they rarely spoke and just focused on the job. When they were done, they carefully cleaned up around the house, using a powerful magnet to pickup roofing nails and a vacuum to pickup other roofing debris. Don came by before the crew left to examine the work and to make sure we were happy. We were! The whole process was painless. At no time did my wife or I have any misgivings about COXCO, about Don, about the crew, or about the work. They were great.

I give Coxco General Contractors and Roofing an A+ for overall quality of workmanship, dependability, and business ethics regarding the roof replacement and dormer repair work done for her. We both highly recommend Coxco.

I called and the office set up an appointment within the week to have Danny come out and meet with us. She showed up on time and was very personable. We talked a long time about the project and she shared some ideas in which ways to do the project. Then, she took measurements and pictures. At the end of the meeting, she told me she would send out someone the following week to inspect the roof. In the meantime, she would start putting a bid, etc. together. I felt really pleased with the prospect of seeing Coxco's bid and possibly using them for our project. Weeks went by and we received no phone calls to set up any additional meetings or know how the bid process was going. I called 18 days after the initial meeting. I explained I was concerned I had not heard anything at all back. The office asked for my number and told me I would get a call back. It's now been over a month and our phone has yet to ring (yes, I checked messages). I can understand a company being really busy. They could have just told me they wouldn't be able to get to us for quite a while. We would have moved on. It's just good business to keep customers or potential customers informed. I called Coxco based on the reviews on Angie's List. I was disappointed in the lack of response. I have no idea what happened because I never received any feedback from the company. At this point, I don't feel like I could venture into this project with them even if they called tomorrow and profusely apologized. It just comes down to showing commitment.

For starters let me just say this. For those of you looking for an A+ company to fill your roofing needs: STOP HERE! I have had rediculous experiences recently with roofing companies but Coxco made it all worth while. 1. Begin with a completely courteous, competant, knowledgable women by the name of Dani Moore who I first talked with on Monday, April 26th. I described the project I needed, the size of the building, the type of roofing I wanted, etc. . 2. By Monday afternoon Dani, emailed me a detailed estimate and a contract if I chose Coxco. This without the need of an estimator even coming out to my property. 3. I approved the contract and ask Dani how soon they could come out because I thought I had a leak and had things in my shed that I did not want to get wet. 4. Dani arranged for a crew to arrive at my house less than 48-hours later. 5. Dani arrived with the crew, picked up the contract and my payment and the job was done same day. 6. I did have decking which was indeed compromised by water and required replacing in a rather large area. I was surprised and delighted when there was no extra charge. That was kind of iceing on the cake. 7. The crew was efffecient and obviously knew what they were doing. I inspected the roof after they left (with $20 I gave them for lunch) and it was perfect. What else can I say. If I had written on parchment the perfect experience with a roofer, particular after all the false starts I had encountered, I could not have written it better. Perhaps because Coxco is a full service General Contractor and not just a roofer, I don't know, buy you will not find a better company, and I am calling Mr. Cox tommorrow to tell him he should give Dani a raise. She is a jewel. Finally, I should give a shout out to Angie's List. As an Angie's list subscriber, Coxco gave me a nice discount on the project.

The overall experience was quick, professional, and easy!

Company did a great job on my roof. Worked with Gary Burk. Since my insurance company paid for just about it all, Gary had to convince them a new roof was warranted. And it took some time convincing them, but Gary and another employee convinced them. Once we had some good weather the first phase dealing with the sunroom roof took several days. The second phase, the rest of the house went on in one day. The did a great job on the roof and cleaned up after themselves very well. So far no leak, and I hope I don't have any, but Gary assured me, if i have any problems they will be right out here to fix any problems. Gary's company, Coxco, was recommitted to me from a friend, and I have nothing but good things to say. We had a little rain today, but I'm waiting for a good gutter washer to really test out the roof. I'll let you know what happens after we get a big rain storm

The crew at CoxCo did a tremendous job. Gary was very knowledgeable and transparent with all of the work that would be performed. He even noticed water damage that I had completely missed and was able to include it on the initial claim! Would have paid less, but my insurance company caught me in one of their loop holes. This was at no fault of CoxCo. Overall, I would definitely recommend CoxCo to my friends and family for their roofing needs!

It went great overall the workers had great ideas and worked quickly and completed the job in a few days. The wood stain is beautiful and matched our hardwood floors perfectly. Mr. Cox supervised the installation and all the work done in our home.

The crew with Mr. Cox's supervision worked long days and did a great job. All deadlines were met and the job was finished early and all furniture moved back after a thorough clean up. A great experience.

They were really nice people. Gerry was the man that did most the work. He was wonderful! He was professional and caring. He fixed the leaks and everything.

Don Lagrone was fantastic as a consultant and salesman. He prepared me for the entire process and did everything he said he would. The price never changed once it was agreed and they were very flexible with my schedule. When the weather cleared and I said go, they had the roof on within 48 hours. When they left you never would have known they were there as the clean up was great! Don was there when the adjuster arrived and pointed out to him all the places we had hail damage getting my roof totaled. He then showed them our fence, gutters, and even my outdoor fire pit and had them cover those as well. While many others complained of being denied a claim, I got everything we asked for and more thanks to Don's attention to detail. However, it's when things go bad that real character is discovered... and unfortunately I was that guy who got a leak on his new roof. I called Don this Tuesday morning at 7:15am when water was dripping into my son's room during the torrential downpour! He said to sit tight and he would be right over. He showed up along with the actual roof supervisor, Ruben, and the owner, John Cox. John was very apologetic and bewildered as that had never happened on one of his roofs in 15 years. He had to see it for himself and wanted to personally let me know that this is not normal and would be handled immediately to rectify the situation. More importantly he didn't send someone, but came himself. Fact is, things happen. However, his response was why I will continue to promote them. He also does home restoration and brought all the necessary supplies with him when he arrived: vacuums, fans and dehumidifiers to rid my home of the water. Ruben immediately climbed up on my roof and fixed the leak, while it was still raining outside. John is painting the affected area and putting it back in original shape. There was never a moment of negotiation or anything. He took full responsibility and went to work on his own dime to fix the problem. Things happen, but it's how we treat people and respond to adversity that distinguishes a company from being good to great!

We had hail damage to our roof, which led to some water damage to upstairs media room. John Cox (company owner) personally guided us through the process. He was here to meet with Farmer's insurance adjuster, assisted with the claims process, and helped us to ask questions along the way that we may have overlooked. All of the crews have been with the company for many years and did impeccable work while at our home. All crews were extremely neat and respectful of our property. Especially enjoyed working with Jessie (paint foreman)! He took the time to explain everything the workers would be doing and always came back himself to assist and inspect that everything was professionally completed. The work was always done in a timely fashion and as written in the contract. John was always accessible by phone if their were questions and would frequently check on the progress. Great company to work with!

Absolutely great. We didn't know we even had such damage, until Coxco's Don, via a neighbor referral, did an initial evaluation and then worked directly with our State Farm adjustor to get a complete loss paid. The loss also covered interior damage, our gutters, some of our fence and the air conditioner units.

I assumed to due the recent hail storm in October they were simply busy. I gave them a 2nd chance by calling again and receiving an appointment. I will not bother a 3rd time with this company. If you are unable to keep an appointment then the courtesy would be to call a customer. I understand if you are busy however it was my time spent waiting on someone to show up and your loss of a customer.

Coxco negotiated with our home insurance company for the replacement of shingles at our home. I believe John got the maximum claim for hail damage. Coxco roofers showed up on time and did the total work in two days. They were fastidious about cleanup: NO nails on the driveway! We met Coxco from our close friends in Richardson. He is a PhD engineer, and she is an at home mom. They are much harder to please than we are. They have used Coxco twice for major remodeling. We used Coxco a couple of years ago for an exterior remodeling of our home. We called him again when we needed work.

The roofing crew did a good job overall. The carpenter did a wonderful job on the chimney. The painter took the time to verify the colors and had a great attention to detail.

Overall John Cox and his company were prompt, professional, and performed quality work. John communicated every step of the way and went the extra mile in dealing with my insurance company directly. His crew performed the work as outlined, and cleaned up each day until the job was done. John offerd a fair price but I believe I received more quality than what was charged. I will use John and Coxco for any renovations, additions or constructural repairs to my house going forward and will recommend him and his company to any who wants a quality job, professionalizm, and appreciates delivery of work that is promised.

I did not use them. I had to beg them for the estimate. Their estimate amount was about $7000 or $8000. They were high on the pricing. I don’t think that they did the best. I got the room that they quoted built for $4000. There are cost saving measures like instead of using wood, you could have used metal. You expect someone to quote you the best and the most economical thing. You don’t want something way out of proportion. I think that because they are highly rated on Angieslist, they might be overwhelmed with calls and quotes. I choose them because of their rating in Angieslist. If they were busy they had to say that, but they didn’t. My husband called the girl that was doing the quote. It would go to her voice mail. Her voice mail was full and you couldn’t leave a voice mail.

We had originally considered a large, national roof repair company to replace our damaged roof caused by a hail storm. We decided to talk with other roofers to get their opinions and their bids to do the job. One of those was a referral from a business associate, who referred us to Coxco, a local company. John Cox came to see us and explained the process to replace the roof and how our insurance company would participate. If we did not understand something, John explained it very clearly and made us feel like we were a very important customer. They provided us a quote in a timely manner so that we could submit it to the insurance company. John was responsive to our inquiries, whether by phone or in person. He also came to our house to meet with the insurance claims adjuster and was able to obtain more for the roof than the adjuster was originally going to allow for the roof. We would recommend Coxco to anyone that is in need of a new roof. The Coxco crew was very polite and finished the roof in two days. They cleaned up all the debris in a professional manner. The overall experience was that we hired a professional company and that John Cox was very knowledgeable and knew how to handle the job. They scheduled the job to our satisfaction and then when we had to delay for various reasons, they worked with us in setting a new start date.
