His crew did a great job on our house! After the hail storms in earlier in the year, our fence and pergola took a beating, but now they look like new. His guys took the time to put things back up like the string of lights on the pergola and they did a good job of clean up when it was done. Would definitely use them again.

I did not find CCS Painting on Angie's List, so I was a little concerned that they were not already listed. I picked up their business card at a nearby Sherwin Williams paint store. My contact at CCS was Mr. Kevin Pike who is an estimator and Project Manager for them. My rating is actually regarding my interactions with Kevin and his nephew, Casey, who worked with Kevin on my fence. From my first call to Kevin until my fence was stained, I could tell Kevin is not only a very nice man, he is a professional who does not cut any corners when staining a fence. He is punctual, knowledgeable, very experienced ( he has been doing this for a long time), and meticulously detail-oriented. I had a new fence installed in September and started then looking for someone to stain it, realizing the fence needed to "dry out" for several weeks before having it stained. I met with or spoke with 6 contractors before choosing Kevin/CCS Painting. He stood out from the rest of the pack! He arrived at my house to give me an estimate at precisely the time we had established. He measured the fence and asked me if I had a preference regarding the stain to be applied to my fence. We discussed different stain manufacturers/products, but he educated me about a stain that is made in Plano, TX that he thought would be a little less expensive and would actually be more durable and protect my fence longer without sacrificing anything on looks. I did my own research after speaking with Kevin and decided to go with his recommendation of Baker's Gray Away stain. By doing so, the cost of the project was a few hundred dollars less than the other stain I was considering using. I called Kevin to let him know I had chosen him to stain my fence and we discussed timing. When the day finally arrived, he and his nephew, Casey, showed up exactly when they said they would. It turned out to be a perfect day weather-wise to stain the fence as it was a bright, sunny day with temps in the mid 50's and very little breeze. Nonetheless, they took extra precaution to cover any areas where there might be any overspray that could get on any surface other than the fence. They used an electric sprayer to apply the stain very evenly. We lost power in our neighborhood for about 90 minutes which slowed them down, but they were johnny-on-the-spot ready to resume where they left off the instant the power was restored. My fence has steel posts supporting it, and they were meticulous in keeping the stain off the posts. To make sure the top of the fence was stained, Kevin stood on a ladder and used a midget roller and cloth to apply the stain and wipe it in evenly. The fence was stained thoroughly from top to bottom! The color we chose looks fantastic, and we have already had neighbors comment on how nice our fence looks. We could not be more pleased with the work that Kevin and Casey did for us. Their quote was neither the highest nor the lowest we got, but I feel certain the quality of the work they did was superior to the work that would have been done by any of the other contractors with whom I spoke. I could tell from the get-go that Kevin knows his stuff and that he is a man of integrity and just a good guy with whom to do business. I will call him the next time I need any painting, power-washing or staining done!!
