Amazing experience with Greg House from Burgess. He was EXTREMELY thorough, and although this was our first home purchase, everyone who saw the report said it was much more detailed than any other inspections they've seen. In addition, Greg let us follow him around and was great answering our questions both during the inspection and afterwards via email. Report he sent us digitally was also very thorough. We'd recommend him to anyone.

I saw the inspection report that the owner had done when she bought the house, and it was woefully inadequate when I compared it to the one I commissioned! My realtor and I prioritized the problems and asked the seller to fix a certain number which were important to me, based on Richard's report. The result was that the seller offered me $3,000 in cash to cover all them items, which I accepted. Having lived in the house for 3 weeks now, I did find a few things that Richard missed: an overhanging roof eave board had a spot that was rotten, so I'll have to replace that but it was easy to overlook. I also had some minor plumbing problems that may not have shown up during the inspection, but overall I am happy with the report Richard did.

I called Burgess for an inspection of a home during my 10 day option period to consider purchasing the home. Since Burgess has a number of inspectors, I was able to set up an appointment for two days later. The inspector, Bill, arrived on time, and he was cordial and professional throughout the process. I am not highly knowledgeable about the mechanical details of a home. Bill never made me feel that my questions were "stupid," and he was patient and informative. Bill took his time, and he spent close to four hours inspecting, writing the report, taking digital pictures, and going over the 15 page report with me and my realtor. He did not rush us as we asked him questions. I liked the fact that Bill emphasized the items that were most important for me to address if I purchased the home. He encouraged me to contact him with any questions that I might have in the future. The next day I called Bill at the cell phone number that he provided me. I had a question about a repair that he recommended in the report. Since I called on a Saturday, I assumed that I would need to leave a message and that Bill would call me back during the work week. However, I was pleased that Bill answered his cell phone and immediately clarified the information that I needed.

Came out on the next business day after being called. Actually showed up early. Very thorough. Answered all questions.

Robert was very polite and showed up on time. He was very thorough and took digital pictures of all the stuff he found. He e-mailed the report to me in a PDF, with the pictures in the report. Awesome! Great ammunition for getting the closing price down.

I was highly satisfied with Kathy's thorough inspection and pleasant manner. She got under the house despite a huge amount of mud in order to photograph a leak that was going on under the house. She answered a lot of questions about what she saw and was very prompt with the report. She was on time and we were able to schedule the appointment quickly which was important given that the option time was running out.
