After receiving quotes from a couple of trusted contractors, we met with Forrest Blaney. His work is well known in our area for the quality and craftsmanship. After driving around town, seeing some of his work in the area, it was clear that he and his crew would give us the look and character we were hoping to achieve with this retaining wall and steps project. We were not disappointed. Mr. Blaney is a delight with whom to work. His crew are truly artisans. Everyone arrived timely each day and kept the site clean at days end. Mr. Blaney manages the project from start to finish and communicates effectively to keep the project progressing along. Each day of the project, we would be so excited to see the progress and the attention to detail. Mr. Blaney helped oversee subcontracted work and coordinate subcontractors, as well, which included tree work and sprinkler system work. We were pleased with his ideas, suggestions and his recommendations on many accounts. Our retaining wall and stone steps will last a lifetime and beyond. We are proud to know that Mr. Blaney and his crew completed this work. In fact, in the process, we learned that he had done work previously at this home many years before we were the owners. The work he did then is still solid and beautiful, as if it was just completed recently.

This project went very well. The crew was prompt, the work was done carefully and quickly, and the results are excellent. Forrest Blaney, the owner who is a degreed landscaper, was onsite both days. I had selected Blaney Stonework because of Angie's List and because of their company website. Photos of previous work was more interesting and looked better than those of other stonework services, I especially liked the big books of project photos which Forrest brought along at our first meeting. These helped in choosing the right stone. The project was well managed and Forrest kept in contact with us during the various stages.

Forest (owner, Blaney Stonework and Landscape) was one of the best contractors we've ever hired. He is honest, fair and an expert in masonry work. His experience and expertise in masonry is absolutely evident- the finished product far exceeded our expectations! Forest, his crew, especially Walt (foreman), are truly craftsmen. They are concerned with getting the job done right, not fast. The crew arrived on time every day they were scheduled to be here. They were friendly, polite, worked hard every day and cleaned up each day before they left. They kept me involved in each stop of the process to ensure that I was pleased with how it was proceeding. Forest coordinated with the sub-contractors, plumbing for gas and electrical and I was pleased with his choices. They were very professional and charged a fair price. We would hire both subs again for any future needs we might have. The job was completed on-time and within budget. We are looking forward to hiring Blaney Stonework again soon to do some additional work on our property!

With meticulous, high quality craftsmanship and using a variety of stone and concrete materials, Mr. Blaney's crew implemented the designed plans to enhance the drive and front area entrance of our home. The crew work efficiently, effectively, and politely during the project.

It is beautiful! He's been in business quite some time, and really prides himself in the professional handling of the contracts, he showed up on time, and the workers were skilled. He drew up a plan and knew exactly how everything should work together. He left nothing to chance. It was a huge undertaking, and we paid for the high quality of work that Blaney provides. Forrest Blaney (a licensed landscape architect) is extremely professional and takes pride in his (and his crew's) work. He came up with a wonderful landscape design for our very plain large corner lot. The stonework project was quite extensive and took about 5 weeks to complete. His stone masons have worked with him for many years and are a very hardworking, dedicated bunch. The most surprising thing of all is that Forrest himself worked almost all day every day along with his crew--he didn't just show up for a few minutes and then leave. He was eager to talk with us each and every day to discuss how the work was progressing and made sure that we were pleased. People are constantly driving and/or walking by and complimenting the work. We could not be happier and plan to use them again in a few months for our backyard (new patio, retaining wall, etc.)

A little over a year ago we had dealt with Forrest Blaney and his company when a property dispute with a neighbor had first come to light. Although we attempted at that time to replace the wall in question the neighbor made demands for access to his property which we refused to meet and an alternative wall was built completely on our property. Over the Christmas holidays 2014, the neighbor destroyed and removed the original wall leaving our property (house and pool) in grave danger. Additionally, he refused us access to his property so that the wall could be replaced. We contacted Mr Blaney and devised a method whereby the wall could be replaced without accessing my neighbor's property. The crew from Blaney Stoneworks and Landscape arrived promptly at the appointed time and with the assistance of another contractor we had engaged, removed my 6 ft fence and began work on replacing a keystone wall with a pavestone wall. This required trenching out an area to make certain the wall wold have a solid foundation and physically moving the wall back inside my property line so that this question would never arise again. During this process they had to deal with the neighbor and did so in a professional and polite manner. The Blaney Stoneworks crew worked diligently and quickly during a period of extremely inclement weather to accomplish the job as quickly as possible. During the construction process it was discovered that a portion of the wall south of the removed section had been damaged when the foundation for it was disrupted by the neighbor's removal. Mr Blaney brought this to my attention and although it was not a part of the original project, replaced it for me at a very fair price. As work was completed on the pavestone wall the Blaney Stonework's crew again assisted my fence contractor in restoring my wooden fence. While the job took longer than originally projected, the delay was in no way reflective of the efforts of Blaney Stoneworks, but were rather weather related. The work was done in a most professional and expeditious manner and we feel our property is again protected by a top quality wall which should last for years to come. We found Forrest Blaney responsive and considerate in every phase of this project. Due to the volatile nature of the situation Mr Blaney personally oversaw the project on a daily basis. He dealt with all phases of the project and made certain to be there whenever he was needed. We would use Blaney Stoneworks and Landscape again.

Mr. Blaney personally oversaw the entire construction through completion. Whe the job was complete he had completely transformed the entier look of my house. I get so many complements from just about everyone in my neighbor hood if I am out side as they pass by. We even got a note from our HOA thanking us for adding beauty to the neighborhool. The work went smoothly, with regular supervision by the owner. The work met or exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The quality of the installation is excellent. We have received numerous compliments on the front area and thoroughly enjoy the front porch sitting area that was constructed.

The designs and drawings were very professional and detailed with a comprehensive cost estimate. The crew was always on schedule and was very closely monitored and supervised by the owner of the company every day which was very appreciated. The landscape architecture was impressive and I have had numerous compliments by neighbors and people passing by. The crew was very friendly, tidy and hardworking. The entire site was thoroughly cleaned after the job was completed.

We met with Mr Forrest Blaney A.S.L.A., who is a landscape architect, in the late fall and went over our concerns for the need of a retaining wall. He came back very quickly with a large scale, very professional drawing and materials list. He explained in detail his plan. While talking to Mr Blaney it was obvious that he loved stone and was proud of his work. Blaney has a very nice website with photos of past jobs. We had to wait for weather to clear then in early March commenced the work. He handled all the city permits. Mr Blaney has a great crew who work hard and each of them pays attention to quality and detail. He is personally on site almost the entire work time. Blaney showed us what was happening each step oft he way. When finished, they left the work are clean, neat and as returned to normal as possible. Forrest Blaney A.S.L.A. was a joy to work with and if we ever do stone work again, he will do it.

Exceptional craftsmen, cleaned up their work every evening, beautifully constructed and landscaped - no doubt, the centerpiece of our landscaping and beautiful show case for our home.

Forrest personally supervised all aspects of the job and kept us fully informed on the status of the project as it proceeded. He also coordinated plumbing and sprinkler work in conjunction with the work performed by his crew. Forrest and his crew take great pride in their work and we could not be any happier.
