I needed to have a virus removed from my computer and install a virus protector. The were able to help right away, I waited and spoke with the technician while he fixed everything. I was out in about an hour and overall had such a great experience I will be recommending all my friends & family.

The technician spent about 10 to 15 minutes with my laptop online with another technician signed onto my computer, but unfortunately they did not know how to do this, and told me so. (I admit that I didn't ask about the phone punch down until the technician got here, and they definitely did not know how to do that.) But I had talked to several techs on the phone before we scheduled the appointment and didn't think we had a problem. So he apologized for not being able to help us, and then left. I was in a panic to get this job done since I was now offline. Kinda left me in a bad situation! But this company was very professional in how they answered the call taking the information, transferring me to a technician to find out the exact problem, and setting up the appointment. And was able to come out the next morning since I was in an emergency situation. I do see their vehicles in my area consistently, so maybe this was just an odd situation, or they are more geared to the residential home situation rather than the business side. I may try them again for something more minor.
Description of Work: Called to setup an appointment to change over settings from one internet/telephone provider to another. Specifically, change the settings on my internet router from a DHCP setting to a Static ip setting. And then to punch down some phone lines in a small business setting.

They're pretty high. It took them all afternoon and half of the morning of the next day to get my computer working. They're hard workers, very focused, and my computer runs.

Overall it was a positive experience. Unfortunately they had to make multiple trips to my home because they did not catch a pice of malware that was introduced during the repair process. But I was Not charged for the multiple visits, and in the end the had it working fine.
Description of Work: Windows Computer would not boot. Hard drive needed to be replaced. After replacing hard drive was not able to recover my data files from old drive. They needed to do some extra work to try and recover as much as possible from old drive. They were able to recover most of the lost data files but not all. Most of the expense was the data recovery effort.

After endless, numerous problems and much expense with another pc repair place which had put an expensive antivirus program on my computer, 360 IT found at least five viruses, one big-deal trojan, a worm and a jillion tracking cookies. They were polite, on time, thorough, pleased me immensely and have taken care of the problems that caused my browser to stop, hang, refuse, redirect, vomit and stick out its DVD drive at me while mumbling curses. I have since used them to fix another problem - blank gray rectangles where pdf photos should have appeared - without moving my person from my chair - they worked with me online. I was amazed at their prices; had expected to pay hundreds of dollars. I feel protected now, knowing they have my back.
Description of Work: 360 IT went over my elderly Dell PC with a fine-toothed comb. Looked at every file, app, process, etc. It took several days because they were busy, but nothing has ever been so worth it. I was close to a meltdown and thinking seriously of melting down my computer, too, just out of spite. I am not particularly computer-savvy, and scared to mess with much of anything. But in trying to fix one thing, I have a tendency to screw up 10 more. They seemed to find them all.

My laptop crashed. I dropped it off at PC House Call because it was as convenient as having them come to me. They reported back to me within a day or two. Their price for the repair was reasonable, but they advised me that after making the repair to get the computer to the point of being able to diagnose, it might require further repair at additional cost. Again, the estimate was reasonable but I decided the machine was old and not worth the cost. I asked if he had any recommendations for replacement. He asked me several questions about my usage and then gave me a suggestion for a model and price range as well as suggesting several places where I would probably find the best price. I also did some research and checked with friends and family, which corroborated his suggestions. After i purchased the new computer, I took it in and they set up and transferred all my data, settings, etc. It was the most seamless transition to a new computer i've ever had.
Description of Work: Diagnosed crashed laptop to extent possible, given the circumstance - dead screen. Made recommendations regarding repair. Subsequently set up and transferred settings and data from old to new computer.

I had downloaded an update to a program on my computer. The download contained a piece I did not want and it messed up my system. I could not get out to the internet. I called 360 IT. They tried to fix the problem over the phone but when that didn't work they said they would send someone out at around 9:30. (It was 8:30 when I called). The technician (Nathan) got to my house arroximately 9:10. He got right to work after I told him what I had been doing. He was able to remove the software I did not want. I asked him to check my system and make sure nothing else got downloaded that shouldn't be there. He also instructed me how not to have this happen with future downloads. He had everything done and checked within an hour. Nathan was nice, very professional and definitely knew what he was doing.

Although the diagnosis was disappointing, we confirmed with techie friends that this is a reasonable scenario. The company communicated well and were quick to install a new hard drive. It certainly taught us the importance of backing up our data!
Description of Work: Home computer would not boot after being turned off for 2 weeks. They determined that it had a hard drive failure. They were not able to fix it, so they replaced it.

They determined that my old pc needed a new mother board and provided me with a quote to replace it. Instead of repairing it, I purchased a new computer and they transferred my data to the new device. They were very professional and, I think, reasonably priced. After a less than satisfactory and very expensive with Best Buy's Geek Squad with another computer, I was extremely satisfied with PCHouseCalls (Now 360IT).

They fixed a screen on my daughter's new laptop that we bought for her at Christmas. They ordered and replaced the entire assembly. They also did this computer within a 48-hour window. My only gripe is that they forgot to put in one screw which was easy to fix. They also fixed another laptop I had with a bad keyboard. I know the keyboard was bad since I actually took it to them in pieces (thought I could the job myself). Anyways they ordered the keyboard and swapped the old with the new. I really liked this place, just wish they were closer or had longer hours.
Description of Work: Replaced screen on one laptop and replaced keyboard on another laptop. Amount spent was actually for both laptops.

They tried diligently for several days, but in the end reported that the 250GB hard drive had 14GB of "bad sectors" and was thus impossible to recover using their techniques
Description of Work: Had a PC that had crashed and the hard disk drive was un readable and hence could not boot I left if overnight at their store front on Central Expressway for them to run data recovery procedures to recover data from the crahsed hard disk drive.

My laptop screen would go dark. I dropped off the computer and asked for a Diagnostic Service. Derik said that my FL Inverter Board was bad and needed to be replaced. They had to order the part and it would be a couple of days before it arrived. The part was replaced and the laptop is working fine.

I have used this company before with no issues. This call was different in the following ways: 1. Tech did nit call before arrival 2. He did not set up the speakers because he did not have the correct cables. Instead of immediately telling me this so I might go buy some, he waited until the very end of the call. No offer was extended to come out again and make it right. I had to call. 3.Printer communication failed shortly after installation. I emailed them to no avail. Since then, I have called numerous times with promises of action and zero results. THEY HAVE NEVER ONCE CALLED ME. The GM seems helpful but delivers NOTHING!!! These folks are NOT CHEAP. They once seemed very good but something has changed. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.........

I previously had Geek Squad visit, he said there was no way to recover emails, still took $ 124.00 for 20 minutes of nothing but said he would have someone who might help get back to me, I then waited for min 30 days for someone to return my call which was an email. PCHC had already saved the day at that point. Will definitely use them again. Thanks!

Jeff the tech was on time, listened to me, did as I asked and was very competent. It was a little expensive but otherwise excellent. He gave me a card as he left.
Description of Work: My computer was running slow. He removed McAfee and installed a Microsoft program doing the same thing that cost nothing. He removed several other programs that were slowing the computer and explained some things about computer operation.

They offer in home and carry in business. Since they were close, I opted to take my computer in. They charged a flat rate of $39 to diagnose the problem. They found the problem and called me within the hour that it was fixed.

This was a great experience. Matt arrived and got to work. He ran through my list of issues and his explanations were clear. I was delighted. My only complaint was that when I scheduled the service, I was left with the impression that he would arrive at 1 p.m. and be available until 3. It turned out that the 1-3 p.m. appointment was an arrival window. Except for a lack of clarity by the scheduling person, this was a perfect transaction.
Description of Work: Corrected several problems with the computer. Deleted a security program and installed a different one. Updated Adobe and Java. Got the monitor reconnected. Got the computer running faster. Answered a lot of questions.

I called Monday morning and was given an appt. for Tuesday morning. The office called when he was on his way. Jessie came and knew exactly what to do with my macbook and router. He was polite and helpful explaining how things work to me. I am very impressed. The price was very reasonable. Its such a pleasure to get such competent services. I highly recommend this company and I will certainly request for Jessie again, if the need arises.
Description of Work: Set up wireless with my airport supreme. Checked Ipad is working wireless, set up wireless printer and assisted with my new iphone.

They are working me really well today. They were good. They were very professional and very responsive. They came out and said what they were going to do. They listened to me thoroughly and told me that they were going to do and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I think if they had gone over a period of time it would have been an additional cost. I will definitely recommend them as they are very knowledgeable, punctual and professional.
Description of Work: I used PC House Call in July of last year. I asked them to come out and diagnose the computer that I thought was infected with malware, but in fact it had a corrupt hard drive so I ended up changing the computer.

They did a good job. They were a little expensive, but got the work done and helped me out quickly. They were very prompt and helpful, and I have no complaints with them.
