We contacted Shafer Electrical on December 14, and they came out the next day. They called ahead to tell us the time they would be here. They were prompt and courteous. They worked very efficiently and finished in less time than they had estimated. We were very impressed that when they had finished the security light, they split up and Jason corrected the faulty interior light, while his helper replaced the electrical outlet behind the washer. That efficient use of their time allowed them to complete the job quickly and therefore save us money.

Dealing with Shafer was a real pleasure. They kept me informed continuously. They were prompt on all appointments. They started and completed the job in a timely manner. Shafer has a crew of young men that are courteous and hardworking. Even though it was a small job I was treated like an important customer.

Our 60's vintage home came with FPE breakers which are a serious fire hazard. During the week between closing and move-in Shafer replaced the electrical panel and service connection with new equipment that meets current code. They worked with our moving schedule and did quality work. When city inspection was complete and Oncor turned power back on they came back out and spent an hour checking that everything worked properly and carefully labeling all breakers. This is the first house I've seen with circuit breaker labels that actually tell you what they do, rather than having 6 breakers that all say "outlets." They also fixed a ground connection in a detached garage that did not work properly when we bought the house.
