It took a while to work out our schedules, but once the work started, they worked consistently to finish the job. The shower looks great. I paid extra for some extra services.

Overall it was a very successful project. Carlos is a great partner and his crew is also great. They started on January 15th and finished in the first week of February. The cost was as expected (though it was not cheap nor was Empire of Tile & Granite the cheapest option I investigated which is why I gave a 'B' - it was fair! but it will not be the cheapest if that is how you judge 'excellent' price) and Carlos kept me in the loop on any changed fees (finding and fixing a leaky sink valve and extensive water damage/mold, for example) as quickly as possible and didn't move forward without my approval on any additional fee work. The higher cost I feel was easily justified in the partnership I had with Carlos and his team. The quality of the work, advice, and follow-through exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely hire Carlos and Empire Tile & Granite if I need work on my home again in the future.

This part was our real concern. Would they show up everyday? Would the same people be on the job for consistency? When hiccups happened, and they do, how would Carlos & his crew handle it? Would he be fair and make sure it's done right or would they just "rig" it to get the money and move on? Those were all questions we raised with Carlos prior to contract and of course he assured us how important it was that we were happy and he said "Don't worry, your kitchen will be beautiful and you will be happy, I promise." Well it is beautiful and we are very happy! He kept me informed on everything, worked with us on any concerns, was flexible to a couple of scheduling needs we had and pretty much finished the job in the time promised even with the holidays. We had a small punch list of things to do after they finished and the response was immediate. Not next week or the week after, but the next day! Impressive! The hiccup we had was handled...lets just say he surprised us how well it was handled and everything worked out as he promised. The kitchen is beautiful and we're happy! **Important Note: My wife picked out everything (she believes) and Happy Wife is Happy Life! Thank you Carlos!

Job was performed punctually and the crew was nice and hard-working. The quality of work was disappointing. Skill level was less than what I would expect based on previous reviews.

Bathrooms and driveway much improved. Carlos Castro did excellent job managing projects Kept me informed when problems came up and fixed them. Staff came when said they would and always protected my property and cleaned up after themselves

The process was easy and all of the steps explained from estimate to tile selection through construction. I am pleased with the job. This job included tile work, new plumbing fixtures and the addition of an inset niche.

I would not hesitate to recommend his services. The job was completed on time and within estimate. The workers were prompt, clean, and courteous. The job was completed to a high standard and I am pleased with the outcome.

Excellent. The finish look was awesome. Everything was done as expected. It was amazing what they completed in a short time. I am very satisfied.

The remodeled master bath is beautiful and much more user friendly. Carlos, the contractor was always very professional, insisting on all work be completed efficiently and correctly. Plan to use him for more projects.

They had a different crew in there. They weren't as good as the first one was. It wasn't as good an experience. It was good.

Crew showed up on time everyday & worked almost non stop. Covered my floors & were very professional. Carlos was in contact non stop. I pick him based on other reviews & they were right on.

The general contractor was very professional. There are always a lot of choices that come up along the way with a remodel--some can be anticipated and some cannot. He was very good about asking for our input along the way so that we weren't surprised. There were a few hiccups (there always are). Carlos was willing to fix problems (finish work on cabinet, drainage of shower floor). The only unresolved issue is a cracked window--the installation of a quartz shelf in the shower area led to a small crack in an exterior window. It was suggested that the glass could easily be replaced by a glass company, but the recommended company wasn't willing to do the work. The crack is a cosmetic issue. To completely replace the window and frame would be very expensive. The crew was also very professional. They did a good job of minimizing the mess and did a good job cleaning up. I hope that I can resolve the window issue, but I'd definitely hire them again.

Excellent and based on our previous experience with Carlos and his crew, just what we expected. Carlos advised us on every step, looking for lower cost methods and materials while retaining a high quality finished product. Always available to assist, we called Carlos from the flooring store and he discussed the pros and cons of several types before we made the final decision. We were going to incur additional expense for a truck or trailer to store all contents from the guest house while the work was being done but Carlos offered to move all of the items into our garage etc, performed the work and moved everything back. Carlos and everyone on his team are professionals, easy to deal with and very nice people. He sets high standards for his work and we look forward to working with Carlos again.

Pretty good on the whole. I was working full time during the reno so there were some things that were not done as I had specified. But the contractors were good to redo several of my areas of concern. User friendly people and the result is pleasing. Again there are things I would be pickier about. The cabinet-front waste basket pull-out does not auto-close all the way.

The service provided was great. Luis and staff was punctual and cleaned up everyday. They never said "no" on special requests we had. Carlos, the owner, made sure we were happy and oversaw work from start to finish. They do not hire any subcontractors. They provided some valuable home renovation ideas and tips along the way. We already have them return for another project in a few weeks.

They did a great job. We had new tile, fixtures, toilet, etc. Any issues that came up were resolved. They were professional.i would recommend them.

They did an excellent job. They arrived at the same time every morning and cleaned up before they left in the evening. When problems were encountered, they informed us of the issue and took immediate action. When the work was completed they made sure we were satisfied with the results. We are interested in having additional work done by them in the future.

I am an out of town owner. Carlos was in contact regarding everything. He sent pictures and was always available. As with any remodeling, there were surprises and they were handeled very well and in keeping with costs in mind. When I saw the finished home, I just said "wow". A beautiful job!! Very responsive company. The few follow up issues have been handled in a timely manner. And did I mention that my condo was cleaned post construction to move in condition?

Went smoothly. Carlos is great at communication and managing expectations.

I think they showed up when they said they would. We are going to remodel the kitchen and we wanted to see what they have to offer. They can improve contact and punctuality.

I think they did a good job, they turned it around. I thought the price was reasonable.

They did a very good job. They completed it. We both had scheduling issues. It was completed in June. I did pay over the $1,999 because we had a larger shower, but that was agreed to at hand. It wasn't a surprise, and it was fine. There were two guys that came to do the work. They kept it neat and clean. They did a very good job.

Very disappointed with Angie's List! This will be the last 'deal' I get suckered into.

There was miscommunication about the time he was supposed to arrive. They are hard to get a hold of so I left a message and was not able to confirm before I had to leave before the tech arrived. If you are that busy you need to hire more people before you keep advertising!
