We needed the interior of our new home painted, including the garage. Carlos came through for us every step of the way making sure we were completely satisfied. The crew he put on the job headed by Edgar was awesome. They were meticulous, taped & covered all floors & cabinets & were very professional. Carlos and his team did an amazing job on our new quartz countertops, they are just beautiful. Went above and beyond to help with a plumbing issue, outside of what was expected, very thankful for all the advice. Would hire again and again.

They were great. Did a lot of legwork getting an engineer lined up to do permit drawings for the City. They figured out a solution that I could not visualize, but it was just what I wanted. Very prompt, very courteous, very nice about listening to my reservations, when I didn't understand. All the details were PERFECT. I couldn't be happier. And they always cleaned up as well.

I was more than pleased with Carlos and his crew. Carlos and his son and their workers were professional, punctual and did a fantastic job. Carlos was always available to answer questions and one thing I really liked about him was his honesty. If I thought something should be done in a certain way and he knew it would not work well, he would tell me. He also knew that I was trying to stay within a budget and would help me do that. When they removed the popcorn ceiling in the family room, Carlos informed me of the problems in the attic (not enough struts, the beam was cracked, and the joists had been cut to accommodate entrance to the attic), but told me if I was not going to stay in the house longer than 8 years, it was not necessary to fix it. I thought this was very honest. I decided to go ahead and fix it, and this extra job was completed in a week. I also gave them a key to my house, as I had to work every day, and found them to be trustworthy. I will definitely be calling Carlos and his crew again for future jobs. My only concern in giving Carlos such a good review is that he'll get so popular that he and his company might not be available for my jobs in the future!!

It went great! Carlos is a great communicator...I always knew where we stood on the timing of each phase of the project. He was either on-site or called me every day of the project. The crew were polite, professional, and punctual. As for the work, the entire project stayed within scope from both monetary and time standpoints. The work was excellent, and I look forward to working with Carlos again! P.S. I love my new closet!!!

Empire did a great job. Carlos was very responsive and straight forward about costs and timing. He was very good about communicating with me and I never had to wonder what was going on. Luis was great about details - he really thought about each and every grout line and cut and let me know about potential issues before it was too late to fix them. I appreciated his input on design issues, and he was very patient with me talking through potential options to get to the final solution. I have used them twice now and would definitely use them again.

This is the second large project that Carlos and his crew has done for me. The outside of my home needed a lot of repair, updating and refreshing There was a lot of rotten wood around the doors and windows, the chimney, the garage door, the roof facing on the front of the house. They replaced it all, powerwashed, caulked, and painted the exterior of my home. My old back door, a single French door that opens to the back patio and is very exposed to the elements, was rotting out badly underneath the frame and along the sides. They replaced that door with a new French door with updated thermal double-paned glass. They removed 3 unsightly and unnecessary brick columns from my front yard. They removed old fencing and rebuilt beautiful new fences as well as painted them. They did all jobs with care and professionalism. They were always sure to let me know when the unexpected arose, and helped me decide the best way to handle problems. When it became apparent that I needed to call an exterminator out to treat for ants, they were very good about waiting for that to be taken care of before continuing. Any time there was a question on how to proceed they consulted me. The outside of my home and yard were left clean and lovely. I would never expect anything less from these folks, and would never dream of calling anyone else for any job around my home, large or small. I highly recommend The Empire of Tile and Granite.

Carlos and crew did an excellent job repairing my house due to a ceiling water leak. Carlos was the only contractor I spoke to that bid the job to complete all repairs back to their original state. Others didn't want to spray in insulation or carpet job was to small.. He went out of his way to insure I was happy with replacement carpet, paint color, etc. and worked with me when the damaged exceeded original insurance claim. The crew working on my house were very punctual and professional. They made recommendations about lighting, etc. and even offered to let my dog out so I didn't have to leave work. My only grade below an "A" is with the scheduling. It took a while to agree upon a start date, but I'm glad I waited. I can say once they start working on your project, they are completely focused on finishing it and communications is excellent.

We had water leak that damaged our wood floors and requested quotes from 3 contractors from Angie’s list. All three can buy to talk to us. However. This was the only one who did not respond back with a quote. We emailed and called multiple times. The job probably not as big as he wanted. (10k). But they could have just responded with. It’s to small of a job or not interested. Instead of having us wait and wait. If I can not trust a company with a small job. I will never trust them with a large job.

There's lots of great contractors around this area, all wil give you excellant work and fare pricing . . . I would like for you to include Carlos and team to the list. This was a complete interior remodeling. We replaced all doors (closets too), kitchen redone from top to bottom (cabinets, counter tops, back splashing. Floors were replaced by removing old carpet and installing wood laminate (water proof). Painted all rooms walls and ceiling. Re-did bath rooms with porcelen and marbel wall tiles with split pebbel stone floor, walk-in showers. New tolets too. Vanities were replaced. Installed ceiling fans in all rooms. Plumming, including gas lines. New electrical plugs and switches, incliding ceiling lights where needed/wanted. The team worked cleanly and each step of the project was explained. Carlos and team will help you stay on buget, which was a big plus for me. Excellant advise on each product selected. I was kept from making the wrong product selections for the application and life stlye. Attention to detail was given by the crew each day/step of the project. I already have a another project in the planning stages (a smaller cost) . . . Carlos and team will be the team I'll be calling.

Every portion of the project was completed as scheduled and the work was professional in every detail, from preparing the forms to the clean up on completion. This is the second project Carlos has done for me and I give him the highest recommendation.

Carlos and his company did outstanding work for us. They put in a new driveway, replaced the siding on the house, painted the house inside and out, installed new windows, sanded and stained the wood floors, installed new tile throughout the house, raised the ceiling and took out walls, redid the kitchen, installed carpet in various rooms, redid bathrooms, built a deck in the backyard, and installed sliding glass doors on the back of the house. Excellent quality work, especially with the tile and counter tops. Carlos, Louis, and the rest of the team were very easy to work with and communicated very well. They were always on top of any problems we ran into during the remodel. Good eye for design and functionality. Honest and hard working people across the board. 10/10 recommend, can’t wait to have the opportunity to work with Carlos, Louis, and the rest of the empire of tile and granite again.

Hello to those that are looking for a great contractor. I am writing this review to let you know that moment I spoke to Carlos I knew I called the right company to the jobs I needed in my home. Carlos is a wonderful person to talk to, and he explains how the process is going each day. He has done 4 projects in my home and all of them are very well done. To be honest I never thought it would look So amazing every project he has done he went above and beyond. He made me feel important no matter how big or small the project. He answered all my questions and my calls no matter the time or day. Your son Luis and your employees gave it 100% when working. Even when Carlos was not there I was not worried cause I knew the guys knew what they were doing. Luis is a great guy he would always ask me if I liked the work and he explained everything to me I ways I would understand, and if I did not like something he would just fix it. That simple. He and his father are really great people. Some people may think your prices may be the high but you get what you pay for, and it was definitely worth it. I think it is wonderful how you work with each customer. You have a devoted costumer for life and I will recommend you to all and everyone I know that needs a great and wonderful contractor like you. There are truly no words to explain the joy I feel due to you your company and employees. I look forward to working with you in the future. My house looks great all thanks to you! Only hire this guy to do texture repair and paint and enjoy having his workers use your toilet and not bother to flush. Even after I complained once, it still happened. EVERYTHING ELSE IS A SUB. After trying to work something out with him because he didn’t want to deal with me anymore and I didn’t want him doing any more work based on what I had been through and seen. We went back and forth for a week until he just would not respond anymore. I finally had enough and have fired him and will not allow him access to my home anymore. His cost for what is provided is outrageous. He was only here a handful of times himself. Two of the times he was here to collect money. He will say they aren’t subs, but they are. I am still waiting on an invoice on the gutters that have to be redone. He can’t see a problem with them even though he hasn’t bother to come by and look. If he doesn’t pay the sub, the sub can put a lien on your house. Anything other than that, DO NOT HIRE. He is going to say that he never had these problems before, look at his reviews etc. He will say that he has tried to work it out but I am unreasonable. I was paying 40,000 for LABOR ONLY. Check your contract very carefully before signing. It seems to have magically changed from estimate to contract. I was not deligent with that and I am really sorry that I was. What GC has you pay for all construction materials!? He does. Who can keep up with how many screws they used? It took 5 weeks to do 7 rooms in a 1500 square foot house. That was to scrape popcorn, remove tile in one bathroom, entry way and kitchen. Then texture and paint. He also replaced some trim and painted the outside of the house that is mostly brick. I asked him to paint the two screen doors repeatedly and I still have one screen door that is yellow and the door is a grey. After trying to work with him, I am filing suit this week. Take a look at Winfield vs Carlos Castro. I am basically having the same problems. I will attach some pictures. These pictures were mostly taken to show him the problems because he was not here. Notice the leaving of live dangling wires etc. Keep in mind that he promises to clean up every day so you can still can still live there. I have no idea where that door color came from. Even though my house should be done by know and I have now got to hire again....I am smiling ear to ear knowing I will never have to deal with him again except through my lawyer. He will say I as unreasonable. I have had everything done to this house since March. Foundation, pool, windows...many different contractors and no issues. I have references too and they are all great. This has been this worst experience ever.

In 2017 we had a lot of work done inside the house by Carlos and his crew. We were so happy with the work we asked him to do our Guest Bathroom, Master Bathroom and expand our back patio and cover it. We had the pleasure of working with Luis for the remodel of the bathrooms. Luis was on time stayed late when needed and a joy to have around. His attention to detail, willingness to update us daily on the remodel and answering all of our questions about different tiling & fixture options was what made it all seem stress free. Both bathrooms were gutted to the drywall and cement flooring. Guest Bathroom Replaced the floor tile, toilet, vanity, mirrors, vent fans, plumbing in the walls for the vanity and shower, replaced our 1980’s fake marble with a new steel tub and surrounded that with the tile we picked including inserting a nitch, Rain Fall Shower head and shower doors. Master Bathroom was the biggest change since we were taking out a stand up shower and corner garden tub made from the same fake marble of the 80’s plus major plumbing moves from one wall to another and closing two drains. Luis put in new floor tile, toilet, vanity, mirrors, light fixtures, vent fans. He created a beautiful 6’ x 4’ tile wrapped walk in shower with a barn door style glass entrance and rain Fall shower heads. With the removal of the old stand up shower we had room to create a linen pantry to hide all of the towels and other accessories that clutter the bathroom. The Back Porch, Carlo’s crew poured a new 18’ x 27’ slab and covered more than half of that with a gabled shingled roof with a cedar line ceiling, cedar beams and posts. All of this is tied into the house so that it looks like it is part of the house and not freestanding. Can’t wait till the temperatures drop so we can spend more time out on the patio. It took a few weeks before the job was started. This company is pretty busy and you will understand why if you hire them. Everything went extremely well after the work began and through the rest of the process. Great company with good work ethics!

Carlos and his team remodeled a hall bath and replaced laminate floors and baseboards throughout the home. His team works diligently and with care. If/when issues throughout the process arise they are discussed and resolved to satisfaction. I will use them again for all future remodeling needs.
