When I first decided to take advantage of the Big Deal, I had never been a part of a major remodel or reconstruction before, so I had no idea what to expect. I only knew that my front bathroom needed desperately to be redone. The Empire of Tile and Granite presented a very nice offer with this Big Deal, so I took the leap. I am so very glad I did! Carlos was extremely patient with me while I took the time to choose my shower tiles, floor tiles, hardware and all the rest, and was spot on with great answers whenever I had questions about what to buy. He came in several times before the work began and made sure I had all the right measurements as well as to confirm what it was I wanted to do. When the day finally came to start the demolition, I was a little nervous, but he and his crew were very good about keeping the mess to a minimum. They took care to protect my home as they hauled everything out, and were careful about cleaning up when they were done. When reconstruction was underway, Carlos was right on top of everything and was quick to ask me questions about exactly how I wanted things to be as each step was taken, and was helpful in giving me advice whenever I wasn't sure. My new bathroom is absolutely beautiful. I am so thrilled with the work. Everyone that has come in to see it has just been in awe. I will be contracting with these folks again to replace the countertops in my kitchen as well as to do the remodel in my master bath.

Excellent , quality work and quality paint. Above my expectations as far as appearance of the building. Really an excellent painting job. The office looks better than when it was opened. Men were very detail oriented and patient if working on any changes and the result is a beautiful building.

Work quality was excellent. Workers were pleasant and dependable. Very pleased with the results and would recommend them and work with them again.

The owner and his two sons arrived on time, completed the job in the allotted amount of time. They were very professional, did an amazing job of cleaning up before they left.

They showed up ready to go and worked very hard. I never saw anyone standing around. It was placed in a yard that sloped downhill and was uneven, but they put it up so that it slopes down in a straight line (with no ups and downs). The last thing he did was stain the wooden face and gate. Both fences look great and the cleanup was very thorough. Carlos is very knowledgeable and listens to the questions that you ask about the project. I have used him before and will use him again.

It went great! Carlos is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, and kept me up to date on the progress of the job. He came to make the estimate exactly when he said he would, then e-mailed a copy for me to approve. He came back to sign the contract and set the date. It was raining on that date, so we set another. When he came to do the job, he brought some extra men to make it go quicker. They did the work in small sections because of the rain danger and completed the job in two days. Carlos came back the next day to settle up and I had him estimate a fence job and also some insulation work- so yes, I will be using the Empire of Tile and Granite again.

They showed up right on schedule, and were very professional. Although there was a bit of a problem installing the new sink where the old one had been, they were able to make it fit. The original faucet I had bought was missing a part, so I had to return it to the store and purchase a different faucet, which resulted in Carlos actually having to install the first faucet, completely remove it, and then install another faucet. The whole job ended up taking more than the hours I had paid for, but I was not charged for the extra time. Although Carlos had to come back the next day and tighten up the faucet, I am quite happy with the end results.

It was great. I didn’t have problems with them at all. The work was beautiful.

Service was provided efficiently and professionally. I was kept informed of the status of the various jobs and had no qualms about leaving on vacation before the second day of work was completed. Due to their previous day of work I was confident the job would be completed to my satisfaction. I returned the next week to find the work on the roof overhang completed perfectly. It is impossible to see where the repair was done because it blends in perfectly with the existing areas. The new shed looks wonderful and is an improvement to the back yard. It was a relief to have quality service provided at a reasonable price. I will certainly not hesitate to use The Empire of Tile and Granite in the future!

Carlos took time and listened to the both of us. He offered to set an appointment with the cabinet makers when we are ready. We did not feel pressured at all. The drawing was simple but it was what I had expected and was very helpful too be able to see on paper what was in our heads. Considering the time Carlos took to work with us and render the drawing I feel the 75.00 fee was acceptable. I will definitely keep this company in mind for the renovation.

When I contacted Carlos to schedule an appointment, he told he did not have his schedule with him and therefore could not set up an appointment for me at the time. I explained that my project was time sensitive and asked if he thought he had availability within 2 weeks. He said he did, but asked me to send an email with my project details so he could set up an appointment. Unfortunately he never called or emailed me in response.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was alright. I would recommend them. They came out initially and took some measurements and then came back a couple of weeks later to bring me the finished product. It was within my timetable so it was fine. I haven't made a decision on who I will be using yet.

Punctual,better prep and painting that I have had in past

Carlos and his crew did an excellent job for a good price and finished in a timely manner. I live in an older home, and as you know, sometimes they can have what I call "old-house-it is" which can create some bumps and bubbles in what is a well thought out plan. Carlos was quick to respond with solutions to these kinds of small issues in a very professional and creative manner. I love my new bathrooms, they are beautiful, functional and built with quality in mind. I will hire The Empire of Tile and Granite again.

Carlos brought another guy so I had four hours each. They sold a lot of deals so very hard to get scheduled, but they did show up on time. I had purchased all the materials, so they did put in the 4 hours each. They fixed a fence post and some other minor wood work on fence. The other dude took a long time and left a mess applying the stain (plus only stained one side of new boards, not both sides). Overall, seemed to move kinda slower than I expected. Better to hire cheaper labor if you have easy labor work. I ended up cleaning up the mess the left, stained back of new boards they didn't get too and finished other paint work myself.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal "$75 for Custom Kitchen or Bath Design with Complete Renderings for You to Keep" from The Empire of Tile and Granite. They were proactive in scheduling my appointment and very professional. They showed up on time and produced a bathroom design for my home's main bathroom. There wasn't really much that could be done differently in a small bathroom like this one, so I've decided not to move forward with the remodel. I did receive the plans from them which were part of the Big Deal, so they've provided all they were intended to on this.

Company said they oversold their Big Deals so I could never book a time. They once offered to come over on a Saturday, but I said I was not available. Never called back. Left tons of messages. Nothing good to say about these guys.

I will say that I bet this fellow is an excellent tile guy. Unfortunately I was looking for a little more consultative comprehensive kitchen design. Perhaps my expectations were not aligned with the services I purchased, but the way that the Big Deal was presented online, it was going to be a little deeper and more interactive. The contractor did admit that his arm was twisted by Angie's List to offer this deal, and it was somewhat outside of his realm of expertise, so again, the honesty was appreciated. I have less of a beef with what he provided, and more of one with the way that it was presented by Angie's List

He had no idea on how to layout a complete bathroom redesign.

I was not home when they came to look at the kitchen, so they worked with my mom. When the designs were complete, they made sure that I got them and were great in communicating with me. I have not had them do the work (yet).

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it was okay. I thought it was a waste of money, and we would have gotten the service anyways. I would have gotten the service for free if I would have called someone else to do it. I didn't mind them, I just thought they shouldn't charge that. If I would have called them, and asked for an estimate, they would have given me that without any charge. They were professional, and they talked about what I should get and what not. I liked them, it was just very generic, it wasn't what I was expecting.

In spite of the youth of the boys that did some of the work, they did a pretty good job. The handyman was injured so he had to bring the boys to get the job done.

Made several trips to complete stages of work. Made sure I was satisfied with each step.

Carlos, Joe and crew showed up exactly on time and stayed all day in 100 degree heat to do repairs to a black wrought iron fence/gate as well as moving another gate and installing additional fencing to the wooden fence on the side of our home. They showed up on time and did a great job and the job cost exactly what Carlos had estimated.
