+ 0 moreRoof was done in a day, very fast. Little disappointed that we were told there wouldn't be any nails left on driveway. My husband cleaned up the driveway himself due to it had a ton of nails. He didn't want to take the chance of our car getting a flat. Glass person didn't make it day they were suppose to come, but did make it the 2ND time scheduled. After seeing his work I did question to myself, about the 460.00 charge to replace the glass. There is tons of whatever is used to hold the glass in place very unprofessional looking job. I haven't discussed this with the company but I'll call after this review.

+ -1 moreRepair work completed in one day. Very good cleanup. Our contact (Dan) very competent and was on site to follow work and do inspection afterword. There was a couple of delays because of confusion on crew assignments (one crew scheduled but did not show) and another delay in that some equipment broke down and had to reschedule. Overall quality of work very good.

+ 2 moreI have never had to use a remodeler but surely there are better contractors. I had water damage in the kitchen so the Claim adjuster sent this company. The most serious problem was the vinyl flooring that had just been installed; it was gouged while they moved the refrigerator. The old vinyl was over 15 years with no tears; the vinyl in the utility room is original to the house. The flooring company had no problem moving the refrigerator. Later when Lance had to move the refrigerator to put on an outlet cover he used a piece of vinyl and had no trouble or marks. Lance answer to the floor damage was to get my kitchen mat and cover the spot and say problem solved. Several of the painted cabinets will not close shut, Lance said nothing could fix them. Steve the project manager knocked several small holes in the wall while removing the countertop and did not want to use a hole fixing kit. I don?t know if they did. Mario was painting baseboard outside in the rain until I ask him to paint them in garage. I have had to call a plumber twice to check the ice maker dripping and the sink sprayer which was wrapped around the pipes so it would not come up. I signed a separate agreement ( stupid of me) that they would paint house trim and it said they would spray wash before painting; they did not do this because the painter thought he could wipe off the dirt. It was the last day before any clean up was offered, workers often did not show up when they said or Steve never returned my calls. I have never reviewed anything but I would not feel right letting others choose this company without warning of problems that they might encounter.

They initiated the negotiations with the insurance company once our agreement of out of pocket expenses were reached and I agreed to contract with them for the job. Their bid was fair and reasonable. They inspected the roof and property for damage and submitted all the necessary pics and paperwork was filed. They worked with the adjuster. They then came to an agreement with insurance and stuck to our original agreements in full. They showed up on time and I am happy with the final product. I liked having a professional crew do the work. They also cleaned up well. I'd hire them again.
Description of Work: provider replaced my 12 year old roof due to storm damage. Managed the insurance process and replacement. Also had some reconstruction of my porch.

We advised that we were ready to get moving on this project so the sooner the better. He indicated he would also bring a hard copy of the quote today. Upon not receiving a quote last night or this morning, I called the office and left a detailed message. The message has yet to be returned and we have decided to go with another company.

Description of Work: Tracy in the Daltex office handled the insurance claim on our rental property and did the same great job Daltex did on our house. Their staff did a great job from start to finish, making the whole process painless and trouble free. They took the time to help us work through our insurance paperwork, worked with our adjuster and got us the supplemental funds that were the key difference between settling for an inferior job and being able to get the job done right. In the end, they made it possible for us to upgrade to a Class 4 shingle and get a 25% discount on our insurance.

I am an insurance adjuster so I am very much aware of the price to do the work they did and the price was right on target for the type of work they did. I will recommend them to my friends and family. I will also use them for some additional projects that are on my list to get done. Any homeowner would smart to use Daltex Contractors, they are honest, fair, and so professional.

Compared Dal-Tex with one of the top recommended Angies' List roofers and the owner of that company asked Lance if they were using 6 nails per shingle, Lance replied 8! Dal-Tex has provided every instruction for claim process including: phone # for my insurance claims dept., for e-mail, forms for processing the checks (I received 3 different checks before the final check) and provided timely communications of independent claims adjustor, insurance claims adjustor and mortgage holder for securing funds and establising escrow. See above for the etire story.
Description of Work: Dal-Tex representative Cash introduced himself and answered my pre-requisite qualifying questions of: Have you done work in my neighborhood previously, Do you provide Radiant Barrier Roof Structures and do you offer incentives to help off-set the deductible? Since he said yes to all, I then invited him to access my roof to survey any damage. When Cash returned to ground level and reported his findings and substantiated them with the pictures he took with his phone to my dismay, I discovered my roof had gaping holes due to the affect of the large orange hail size my entire neighborhood of Moss Farm (Lake Highlands) experienced also my attic vents were smashed, my siding was marred and gutters affected. Cash proceeded to ally himself against my fears as he laid out step by step what to expect within the realm of the required claim process. Eliminating the unknown by revealing the protocol of the claim process he allyed himself with my best interest as he volunteered to be present when the insurance adjuster arrived to ensure a thorough synopsis of storm damage. By his actions,he delivered on everything promised and exceeded my expectations. Had gaping holes in my roof and he sealed them the same day he inspected the roof for damage. Next appointment day he and the Owner/Principal Lance demonstrated true professionalism as we reviewed the roof and structural damage to my Carport and putting green, their experience with the claim process and assistance to restore all my personal chattel has been a truly life changing event. Lance reassured me that my interests came first when scheduling the roof replacement (I wanted the roof fixed the next day) as he explained that his wife, Tracy is an expert on claims due to her Insurance Risk Management experience and that she would need to analyze my insurance company's estimate of damage to ensure maximum compensation within the confines of my policy coverage and that it would be wisest to analyze before rebuilding. In 2 work days time, the direct result payed off as Dal-Tex has now completely repainted all the wood areas on my two (2) story Lake Highlands brick home, helped me recover the cost on my putting green and restore like new my CarPort and not to mention the original purpose of providing Lifetime GAF shingle roof and partial decking replacemnt. The smile on my face tells it all when it comes to getting all the value commensurate to the policy coverage that Dal-Tex helped me to recover, thanks Dal-Tex! P.S. Cash proved himself to be better than "Cash" savings as he took the time to earn my business and demonstrate his unselfish service - thanks Again and Again!!!

+ 1 moreI am not happy with them. They are supposed to be doing my roof and have been putting me off for 10 days. I paid $8500 and it was supposed to be a percentage of the roof, siding and the gutters. They don't want to refund my money or come back and do my roof. I talked to the owner and he is a very rude man. I have talked to the owner twice and both times he and I got into an argument. He is completely unruly. The salesman who sold me the job was very nice. He told me upfront everything that he knew that was going on. He told me that they don't want to finish my job because the owner and I have had words. I don't know why because they did the siding job and I have paid him the money. He is trying to get me someone who will finish the job with the money that is left. I might have to take them to court before it is over with. I am not happy at all with them. They did a good job putting on my siding. Two men came out and did the whole siding project. The salesman is wonderful, the owner is terrible. Their price is normal, maybe a little bit higher but not too much.

Description of Work: Daltex handled my re-roof project due to recent hail storms. The company owner came out and walked me through the insurance process, without ever making me feel pressured to hurry up and sign I felt from other contractors. He worked with my insurance company to get my supplemental claim filed, and then delivered a top notch roof at a fair price. Thanks Lance!
