Alpha Lawncare

We are still using them. I had a bill on the door two days ago. My husband handles this but he is out of town. The price is pretty good in fact they just recently went up. They were like $19 going up to $21. They come and get it done. They don't even knock at the door. They just come in, do their thing and they are gone. My husband just loves what they do. We even recommended them to the neighbors. The only thing that they do that really bothers me is, when they mow, they get grass all over my pool. We end up with a lot of grass in the pool. Most of them I think don't speak English so it is kind hard to communicate.

After 2 call requests to give a bid on lawn and yard service with no reaponse I will not try again.

It did not go.

I called the first time, he hung up, and had an excuse that his phone died. I called back several times, and no response. I finally called again, and he promised to stop by to give me a quote. He never called back, so I called him. He apologized and promised to be by again. He never called me back. At that point I got the message, and I used another provider. His A rating on Angie's List was not a good indicator.

We originally hired them to do a 1-time clean up and since they did a good job and were easy to work with, they are now our ongoing lawn care provider.

Called to get a quote and was told by Jimmy that they are not taking any new clients in the Prosper, TX area. Wasn't sure what grade to give them since they actually didn't do anything for us yet, but if they are that busy it may be good to hire some more people or stop advertising. Since Jimmy was up front and honest with a good attitude I gave an A for responsiveness and professionalism, but an F for price and quality since they wouldn't offer service....so C it is.

They were good. They're dependable and on time. They do a pretty good job.

Excellent work, yard looks great, Jimmy came by to check on the yard and to be sure we were happy. Excellent customer service. We will continue to use them every week!!

I would highly recommend Alpha Lawncare.

They do a good job. Over all they are excellent. Their price is competitive. I will use them in the future.

Everything has been just fine with this company. I don't have any complaints at all

I called contacted Alpha Lawncare last Thursday and left a voicemail indicating that I would like to get an estimate. Jimmy called me the same day and answered some of my questions and told me that he would get the estimate over the weekend and let me know since they come to my neighborhood on Wednesdays. I agreed and waited for his call. There was a bad storm on Wednesday so I did not expect him to cut the grass. However, I had not received a single phone call from Jimmy. I called Jimmy back on Wednesday night and he apologized to me saying he had forgotten to come by to get an estimate. He told me that he will get an estimate first thing in the morning the next day (Thursday). Thursday morning around 7:04am, my wife and I were rudely awaken by our doorbell. I opened the door and Jimmy was there to give me an estimate. He asked me if I wanted the grass cut right there and then. Dumbfounded, I told him that I would have to think about it because it was too early in the morning and quite frankly, I was a little upset that he lacked the common sense not to ring the doorbell at 7am when my wife was asleep while I was getting ready. In addition to all this, I had called another lawncare company to cancel my appointment I made as a backup because I wanted to use Alpha Lawncare. I called Jimmy today (Friday) and politely asked him if he would be able to service my lawn sometime before next Wednesday because the grass has gotten very long. He then went on to talk about how his business is a business-for-profit and he would have to pay his crew and how he would lose money and so on and so forth. I took my time to explain why I believed he should make an exception: the fact that he did not promptly get back to me with an estimate which will eventually result in my paying more out of my pocket to get a lawncare plus bagging and the fact that he disturbed us in the morning to tell me in person what the estimate was even though he left a message on my voicemail just before ringing my doorbell. To my utter disbelief, he simply checked out of our conversation saying that the conversation was not going anywhere. Realizing that I was not going to get the kind of customer service I hoped I would get, I politely told him ok. I do not enjoy giving bad reviews. There is a reason why I continue to use Angie's List because I trust people's opinion about a company. Needless to say, I was very surprised that I received the kind of service even though Alpha Lawncare maintained a very high rating. I feel bad that my review will put a dent in the record but I must admit that I have never been treated so badly in the years I have used services recommended by Angie's List members. I will NOT be using their service and will recommend AGAINST using Alpha Lawncare.

Jimmy responded to my voicemail the same day and scheduled to come out and give me a free estimate by the weekend. Once that was complete - we started up a biweekly schedule for lawn maintenance and I am very pleased with the work!

I called this company today to try and setup lawncare service. I was told they are not accepting any new customers. :(

Jimmy, is very customer focused, and always strives to take care of his customers. I am in my second year with Alpha Lawn care, and would recommend his services without hesitation.

I've been using Alpha for over a year to cut my lawn. Additionally, they have provided tree triming and flower bed planting.

I think they do a very good job. They seem to be very conscientious and responsive. They are very thorough and they come whenever I call them.

The day Jimmy was able to come out I had to be on the other side of the city. He called me and we talked about what needed to be done and he said he could get started on it right away. I told him to go ahead and I would probably be home before they finished. As I pulled into the driveway I had to do a double take.. the place looked great. They far exceeded my expectations as to how much and what they would clean up that day. I have a bunch of dog agility equipment in my yard and they moved and mowed around it all and even tried to move it back :) Based on that work I decided to go with weekly service ($60.00 each week) through the rest of the summer and early fall. Those times that rain prevented the crew from coming out I would get a call and they always showed as soon as they could. Come spring I will start up with weekly service again. Having this service, and not having to worry about reliability has saved me at least 4 hours of my own time each week during the growing season.

I called Jimmy for an estimate on some trimming work. He came out quickly and gave me an estimate. He came the following weekend and trimmed all the shrubs and trees and cleaned up the mess and hauled it away. He did a great job and I would hire him again.

I am really glad to be on Angie's list to see what everyone else has to say. Finding good people is really hard these days.

Called Jimmy and he came out to give me an estimate which was reasonable. He then came out on Saturday to do all of the work. He was prompt and with his sons and another adult worker they completed the job by 3:00 in the afternoon. Some things I told him what I wanted, other things I left up to his judgment. They cleaned up all the mess. I was more than satisfied and will use him next season for my lawn care needs.

OUTSTANDING! I have used a lot of lawn companies over the last couple of years, and have time and again been disappointed by the quality of the work. These guys really impressed me, because they showed up on time, spent a great deal of time explaining my options to me, and then carried out the work in a very professional and punctual manner. I will DEFINITELY be using them again.

Jimmy was willing to work with me on the time of day (due to the watering schedule). Jimmy and his helper did an excellent job mowing, weed eating and edging. The price is great and the service wonderful. I will be using them on a regular basis.

On Saturday July 12, 2008, Jimmy and associates arrived exactly on time. They started immediately and finished in time to make it to the recycle center. Our yards look great.

The job was easy to set up with just one phone call. The very next day, he showed up to mow and trim my lawn. He did a great job: the height of the cut was just right, and the edging and trimming was well done.
