I used One Hour service for several years, paying them regularly and every month to check my heater and ac once a year. What a waste! I would think after all that money I would be treated like a loyal customer and treated honestly. When my air wasn’t working, they sent a repairman who told me there were holes in the coil and I needed a new ac. When I asked why the holes couldn’t be patched, I was told there were so many little holes there was no way to repair them all. I got a quote for a new ac for over $7,000 for a new one. I then called for another estimate to an ac company that came highly recommended from a friend. When they came they gave me a quote for the same size unit for about $2000 less. However, they then said that I didn’t even need a new ac. They said I only needed a new coil. When the old one was removed, they found one hole in it, not several! Once the new coil was installed, the outside fan was not working. They checked that and found all the wires were incorrectly connected. Once they reconnected those, fan worked fine! One Hour was the only one who had worked on that unit! I saved over $6000!!!! Unfortunately, after the fact, I checked their reviews. All over the country they had over 70 reviews, none more than 1 star. If you do intend to continue to use them, do yourself a favor and when they quote you a price or suggest repairs or a new unit, get a second opinion.

Patrick was courteous, knowledgeable and fast. He knew what he was doing, informed us of the problem, and gave us options of what was needed. He performed the work in a professional manner.

Anthony went above and beyond while doing service on our AC. He was honest and forthright while discussing the issue as well as informing me and teaching me about my system. He worked efficiently and was courteous during the whole job.

His service was fine. Your 24-7 is not very good or unit went out and we called at 11 was told they could not send any body out and could not tell me when one could come. So much for your 24-7 add. Ben with Windland in Portland for over 12 years.

Juan Jimenez was extremely knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He spent hours with me going over everything and giving me a detailed itemized estimate. He also found some things that were not up to code in my attic that I did not know about. While he was in my attic, he found a damper that was shut which was not allowing air to be funneled into my bedroom. He opened it and now my bedroom is cooling nicely for the first time! Up until now, I was having to run my ceiling fan at full speed in the bedroom because it was so hot. I am thrilled! Juan is an asset to his company!

Very well. Service person took the time to explain NEST thermostat settings and why the heat wasn't working like we expected. He went an additional step to be sure the central unit system was working and not showing any problems we might experience in the near future due to the age of the system. He said the system looked good. That was a relief to hear.

They had come out to repair the old unit and they replaced a part. They said why don't you have this plan where we come out and service the unit twice a year. I thought that was a good deal because I got a discount on the part that I had to buy. They came out to do their check up and the young man was out there and he said everything was fine. I noticed that the air conditioner was not cooling. It was blowing but it was not cooling. It was not lowering the temperature. They come in and they check it and they lower the temperature to see if it's working. He didn't. After he had been out there he said I had to clean it all out and everything like that- that is part of our service. Everything out there is ok and the pressure and everything is fine. I told him there's a problem here in the house because it's not cooling. It's not up to the temperature it should be and it is continuously running. He said it takes a while to get back up to what it's supposed to be. It was working fine before you came to do your check, the whole unit. It was working fine. I called them back and told them the unit was not cooling. So they sent somebody else out, it ends up being late at night and he said well there's a hole in the compressor. He said he detected it with his machine. He said it couldn't be repaired and you'll have to replace the unit. I got several quotes and One Hour wanted to charge me a whole lot of money and frankly I think it was their fault. The person that checked the unit did something out there. It wasn't working when they left. It was fine before they came for the checkup and it wasn't while he was still here. The One Hour people should have said well our guy messed up and they could have given me a discount on a new unit. They wanted to come and charge me a whole bunch of money and they said they couldn't just do the unit outside. We have to do the whole system. The heating unit is upstairs. The cooling unit is outside. All these companies were saying you have to replace the whole thing even though the heating is working fine and the air conditioning was working fine until they came to do their little check. I'm not very happy with them. If you call them they will come eventually but it's a lot quicker than another place. They break it down between morning and afternoon then they call about 30 minutes before they show up.

He's there for about an hour. He goes outside and cleans out and services the outside unit. He cleans out the vents and services the inside unit. He checks everything out. He does a really thorough job. I've had other people that were cheaper but they are in and out in 15 minutes. He makes sure everything is oiled and if there is a problem area he lets me know. If something needs to be replaced he gets the part and fixes it. They have always been a high quality company. The same technician comes every time. I get very good service I don't have to worry about it. I would give this guy the key to my house if I were going to be out of town for him to come in and service everything. They always put booties on when they come in the house. They respect my carpeting.

He found a leak in the coolant system. It was in the condenser. As the condenser was under warranty, I then had the company that installed it do the replacement. That company found something that needed to be repaired (a leaking capacitor in the outdoor unit) that One hour did not. Whether that would be under the list of items inspected under the $59 service, I do not know. He was prompt, cordial, and seemed knowledgeable and efficient. On the downside, two weeks later a One Hour representative from the national called and asked about the quality of the service I had received. Unfortunately it was a backhanded attempt to sell me a long term service contract. When I figured out that was the case, I felt betrayed. That is why I will not use this company again.

They did great. Supposedly it's worth it because we looked at different options. The price was high but they are a local company so we like to use local. They did have to come back a few weeks later. Somebody had hooked something that was wrong.

Work completed very efficiently.

We had a drip pan over flow and resulted in wet insulation, sheet rock ceiling damage, ceiling boards left wet. We contacted the company on Monday, August 11, to replace the drain valve and drip pan. While replacing this, we asked, were any other areas wet? The reply was no. Wouldn't it make sense that if the ceiling was ruined, that areas under drip pan would be wet? When we contacted a contractor to replace sheet rock damaged by the leak, they discovered duct insulation tears right next to area of drip pan. They discovered area under drip pan that had wet ruined insulation, wet ruined ceiling boards, wet ruined ceiling joists. This service resulted in $929, which was removing section of ruined duct insulation and rewrapping ducts. The next morning, another area is leaking, so we contacted the company and were told we would have to wait several days and pay a service call fee. Our service plan which we paid for one years service, should not have been required at level 2. The service tech came out on Wednesday, August 20 and when I answered door and said the area was leaking, he shook his head and gave me a disgusted look. He looked up at the area I pointed out and told me he didn't see anything wrong, that he was done here, and we wasted his time.
